Marrying the Bratva King by Laylah Snow is an emotional age-gap Bratva romance with an intriguing arranged-marriage premise and plenty of drama. Nina and Nikolai are complex characters whose relationship develops amid family expectations, power struggles, and unexpected feelings. The story is filled with intense moments, strong emotions, and a compelling mafia backdrop that kept me interested throughout. While some parts felt rushed and I would have liked more depth in certain areas of the romance, the chemistry between the main characters and the heartfelt moments made for an enjoyable read. Fans of Bratva romances, possessive heroes, and emotional happily-ever-afters will likely find a lot to enjoy here.

Part of Forbidden Kings". Nina Morozov came home for her younger sister's wedding. Not a happy affair or even a joyful occasion since it was an arranged marriage. Then Nikolai Vasin stopped the ceremony and announced that he was not marrying the younger daughter. He was marrying Nina instead. Shocked and furious, Nina tries to argue her way out of the arrangement, but neither Nikolai nor her father were budging. At the end of the day, Nina is angry, frustrated and very much married to the Bratva Pakhan. Do they stand a chance? This is a very good book - keep the tissues handy !!!

This story took a wild turn of events. And it didn’t waste any time getting to it. When Nina showed up to her sisters wedding, an arranged marriage, her sister isn’t happy of course. But as the ceremony starts Nikolai stops it and says he doesn’t want her anymore, he wants Nina. Despite her arguments, she ends up marrying him. This was such an intense read, with emotions riding high and evening you’d expect from an unwanted marriage. But I loved seeing them slowly learn one another and start developing feelings. This was steamy, chaotic, and such a great read.

This is a spicy enemies to lovers story where the main character is a journalist. This is something I haven’t seen done before so I really like the concept of the story. There were spicy scenes within the book but the build up to them was sudden. The structure of the plot felt wordy and some parts felt unnecessary. I would love to read again with some further editing.

Nina goes to her sister's wedding only to end up being the bride. It's an arranged marriage and Nikolai decides he wants the younger sister. Nina is a journalist and hates having her freedom curtailed let alone being forced into an unwanted marriage. Will Nina get her way in this steamy age-gap bratva romance?

confusing

This was odd. The book literally ends with “I have no complaints.” The entire story reads like a bunch of facts rather than a story. You don’t really feel like these two fall in love or ever have their walls come down. They never say I love you or how moved they are that they have a child. Just factual, he wakes up before 5:00 to get the baby. This doesn’t feel like a romance book. It’s just some events with zero transition from one moment to the next.

You'll be hooked from the start and not want to put it down until the end because you want to continually know what's going to happen next. I fell in love with Nina. She is fiesty and passionate. I loved watching Nina and Nikolai's journey because of how different they are and how it comes together in the end beautifully. Such a great HEA.

Need an editor, but story was good

Whilst the story was good, the idea slightly different, there were lots of errors and repeated text, sometimes within a few pages of each other. Now there could be good reasons but I suspect that publishers were chasing for publication and something’s got missed.

The story starts with a bang, a wedding gets stopped before the bride has got to the end of the aisle. The groom wants to marry the older sister instead. Negotiations between the brides father and the groom, despite the older sister refusing to change places, the wedding is altered and the older sister gets married. So starts the story of the Bratva Kings new wife.

I don't think I have ever given a book a rating this low. I just wasted how many hours reading that. Where was a plot? Neither once said I love you.... But the writing. A lot of basic simple sentences that don't really do anything.....I have read many by Laylah Snow....what happened with this one.

She came back home for her sisters arraigned marriage, the last thing she expects is to leave as a newlywed, to the groom her sister was to marry. Nina takes it as a perfect way to get a great story to boast her by-line. What she ends up with is a something either of them expected a loving marriage.

weird

This book was crazy. I could not figure it out. They didn’t talk much. Just stared. Repeated thoughts. Then ‘ one year go’ again with the repeated thoughts. Character were unknown. Boring. 🥱. Just an odd book. 📕

What happens when an investigative reporter marries the Bratva King? Nina and Nicolai really work together even though she fights it all the way. Great chemistry. Great story!
