a super fun time!! this was kind of exactly what i expect from a dark rom-com: funny, fast-paced, silly, cute, suspenseful, and crazy; solid 4 stars. this was super easy to read, and it has a fair few similarities w 𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙩 by navessa allen (which i LOVED), so if u enjoyed that i reckon you'd like this too :). 🤭 - me the whole time i was reading this
honestly, i don't have too many thoughts abt this, i rlly liked the stalker therapy group turned vigilantes situation, but it was v predictable and i agree that it kind of nuked a lot of cole's character development. i also wish there was a bit more romance than mystery, but i was pretty engaged so i had a great time anyway.

i liked her!! i related a lot to her 'it could always be worse', tough-girl, 'just overreacting' mentality, and it was rlly nice to watch her be vulnerable, ask for help, and stand-up for herself; the hr call was so great 😂 she also wasn't stupid and i love that in a fmc <3 i think i rlly enjoy characters working in healthcare, so i had a lot of fun in hailey's pov, it was pretty interesting tbh, tho i still don't rlly understand what happened w those ketchup packets...

This book was SO much fun!
I mean, give me a man who will go to bat for the people he loves and protect them at all costs, and I’m listening. 😏 He’s a protector at heart, and honestly, the green flags were flying… even if his idea of protecting someone is a little more intense than what most people would consider “normal.” 😂
In Stalkers Anonymous, we follow a man whose obsessive tendencies have landed him in a group therapy program with other people who have some… questionable ways of showing affection. 😆 When love, obsession, and protection collide, things get entertaining really fast.

The title and cover were what initially made me choose to read Stalkers Anonymous by Dana LeeAnn. The synopsis blurb also made the book seem like it could be a fun read. And it was!
Cole Matthews has just begun attending an Interpersonal Boundaries Support Group, aka Stalkers Anonymous, when he meets Hailey Brigham, a second-year resident at Fort Collins Memorial, while on a hike. They meet again by chance in a café later that week and begin getting to know one another. The chemistry is undeniable. Hailey has a little problem, though: one of her patients clearly knows too much about her and begins threatening her when she denies him the opioids he’s seeking. Unsurprisingly, this triggers Cole’s protective instincts... to the nth degree.
The synopsis mentions a morally gray hero. True. Spot on. Very gray. Cole seems like a guy you might meet in real life. He’s certainly got things going for him, but he’s also imperfect. Hailey is also quite relatable, although I found her to be somewhat less well-rounded. The story is narrated by these two in alternating chapters and close first-person perspectives. Being privy to their inner thoughts worked really well for this character-driven novel.
The prose uses plain, immediate language and shifts smoothly between humor, romantic tension, suspense, and emotional reflection. It’s fast-paced, accessible, and occasionally witty and irreverent. It covers themes of obsession versus protection, consent and personal boundaries, trauma and recovery, and trust and vulnerability. It also demonstrates how easy it is to do something morally ambiguous in the name of love, even when you truly believe you’re helping your partner.
It was fun to follow along with Hailey and Cole’s story, although it took something of a leap into the unbelievable when I was about three-quarters of the way through. The pacing was smooth and steady until then, but it seemed as if the virtually unbelievable twist was thrown in to help wrap things up faster. Cole Matthews has just begun attending an Interpersonal Boundaries Support Group, aka Stalkers Anonymous, when he meets Hailey Brigham, a second-year resident at Fort Collins Memorial, while on a hike. They meet again by chance in a café later that week and begin getting to know one another. The chemistry is undeniable. Hailey has a little problem, though: one of her patients clearly knows too much about her and begins threatening her when she denies him the opioids he’s seeking. Unsurprisingly, this triggers Cole’s protective instincts... to the nth degree.
The synopsis mentions a morally gray hero. True. Spot on. Very gray. Cole seems like a guy you might meet in real life. He’s certainly got things going for him, but he’s also imperfect. Hailey is also quite relatable, although I found her to be somewhat less well-rounded. The story is narrated by these two in alternating chapters and close first-person perspectives. Being privy to their inner thoughts worked really well for this character-driven novel.
The prose uses plain, immediate language and shifts smoothly between humor, romantic tension, suspense, and emotional reflection. It’s fast-paced, accessible, and occasionally witty and irreverent. It covers themes of obsession versus protection, consent and personal boundaries, trauma and recovery, and trust and vulnerability. It also demonstrates how easy it is to do something morally ambiguous in the name of love, even when you truly believe you’re helping your partner.
It was fun to follow along with Hailey and Cole’s story, although it took something of a leap into the unbelievable when I was about three-quarters of the way through. The pacing was smooth and steady until then, but it seemed as if the virtually unbelievable twist was thrown in to help wrap things up faster. I LOVED this.
Probably my favorite Dana LeeAnn book yet. I loved everything about this. The plot was so interesting. I devoured this in almost one whole sitting. The characters were so fun, I loved each and every single one of them. Cole was perfectly flawed. We all know how much I love a morally gray man. Hailey was such a badass. As someone who works in the medical field, I could relate to her in so many ways. I thought this was a super fun and quick read. Totally recommend 🫶🏻

Cole finds himself attending a Stalker's Anonymous group as a condition for his new job. He thinks that his behavior was to protect someone he loved so doesn't think he's the same as everyone else. He's just planning on doing the bare minimum.
Hailey encounters Cole on a Hike and ever since they met she can't stop thinking about him. They have a chance encounter at a coffee shop and begin to date however, Hailey find herself with a stalker. This causes Cole to exhibit stalker tendencies himself but he doesn't think he's crossing the line if he's keeping her safe 👀
This book was both funny but also a bit suspenseful too. Cole and Hailey had great chemistry but you also get to see Cole toe the line on what is acceptable and what is too much. Def recommend!

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this one quite as much as I did 😂
Cole is definitely… a character. Ex-military, ridiculously protective and apparently not a stalker. Probably. The whole Stalkers Anonymous/group therapy idea was actually such a fun addition and gave the book a slightly different feel from your usual romantic suspense.
I really liked Cole and Hailey together. Hailey is a strong character who can absolutely look after herself, which I appreciated, but Cole’s protective side definitely comes out when someone starts becoming obsessed with her.
There’s a good mix of romance, suspense and a bit of humour throughout. Cole has his issues and isn’t exactly the most emotionally well-adjusted man, but underneath all of that he genuinely cares about people and wants to do the right thing.
The situation with Hailey’s patient definitely added another level of tension. Watching Cole struggle with how far he should go to protect her kept me turning the pages because you know his instincts aren’t always going to lead him to the most sensible decisions.
And honestly, the Stalkers Anonymous group might have been my favourite part. Some of the characters and conversations had me laughing when I probably shouldn’t have been 😂.
This was a fun romantic suspense with plenty of protective MMC energy, danger, chemistry and some darker moments.
If you like ex-military heroes, strong heroines, romantic suspense, obsessive villains and a hero who is just a tiny bit morally questionable, I’d definitely give this a go.
Also… Cole saying he isn’t a stalker while attending Stalkers Anonymous is probably the funniest thing about this entire book. 😂

Well, that didn't go quite as expected, but I didn't hate it, not in the least. I devoured this one in practically one sitting.
Light-hearted at times, yet disturbingly accurate in portraying true stalking behavior.
Stalkers Anonymous was fast-paced, with intriguing characters I wanted to know more about. Hailey and Cole were well-fleshed out and realistic, practically leaping off the page. I was instantly invested in them as a couple and as individuals, pulling for their success, together and separately.
I laughed out loud when Hailey called Cole "stalker boy." Yes, yes, he is, but one with the best of intentions and a heart of gold.
I'm thoroughly invested in the members of the stalker anonymous group, and I wouldn't be opposed to this becoming a series. Seriously, I'd inhale them like candy.
If you're looking for a light stalker romance with some dark tendencies and laughs, I highly recommend picking this one up.

First of all- I messed up. Because I was gifted the ARC! But I was also headed for Texas for a book event. Didn't read the e-mail right and didn't realize I had to click a link. I thought I was getting the book via book funnel. Better late than never though, right? I'm just a girl.

Started reading this book and then I get an e-mail that I am now part of her content team! Yay! So I really feel the timing of me reading this happened when it was meant to.
I love Dana's writing style. The storyline flowed really well. I loved the characters. The heat, everything about this. I love stalker romances as is but this one added a fun layer that I really enjoyed.

This one was so good! I absolutely loved Cole. And the van signs?! 😅 I was laughing out loud at those. Iykyk. Tyler was awesome too! I ended up loving his character so much. Honestly, this book had me hooked and I had such a fun time reading it.

I absolutely ate this up! I made the mistake of starting this at 8 PM and could not put it down; read it in one sitting. This was cute, funny, but also had that thrilling aspect I love in a dark romance. I'm also such a sucker for stalker romance and this had that down perfect. I think Stalkers Anonymous was a fun read overall. I found myself wanting to keep reading to hear Cole’s perspective. The twist with the therapy group was extremely far-fetched (not that the whole book wasn’t… but this in particular) and it kind of lost me in the end with all the cliches. I was really intrigued by the cover and title of this book. I had a lot going on while I was reading this so it did take me longer than normal, so I wasn’t sure if that’s why it didn’t get a 5 star. I feel like at certain points, the book fell flat.
Cole has a reason for being a “stalker”. Things have happened in the past that made him take control and save people he loves. So when he meets Hailey, she has a stalker that she needs saving from.
I felt bad for Cole at times and maybe it’s because I love dark romance but certain things didn’t seem that wrong to me? The book definitely had potential but for me at times, it just wasn’t giving much.

Meanwhile, Hailey is dealing with a dangerous patient whose obsession with her is escalating. When threats against her become serious, Cole’s protective instincts kick into overdrive and he’ll do whatever it takes to keep her safe.
This one had me hooked! Give me a morally gray, protective hero, a fierce heroine, dark romance, and a completely unexpected found family and I am HERE FOR IT.
Cole is the perfect combination of intimidating and ridiculously sweet, while Hailey is strong, capable, and absolutely not a damsel in distress. Their chemistry and tension kept me turning pages, and I loved the unique setup of Stalkers Anonymous and the misfit group that comes along with it.
Dark, suspenseful, spicy, and surprisingly heartfelt, this was such a fun addition to my dark romance TBR! And that found family? I need more of them. 🖤

An interesting take on the stalker romance trope. I liked the idea of the vigilante stalkers group secretly operating inside the recovering stalkers group. I hope this author will write more in this world. I enjoyed all the members of Stalkers Anonymous. I need more! I had to take away a star because Hailey was almost unbearable to me in the beginning. Trying to be strong and independent when you have an actual dangerous stalker was just dumb. Cole just fixing her window instead of telling her Lars was breaking into her bedroom was absolutely insane! The steam was steaming until the end, when we get one last spicy scene thrown in. I just kept thinking about how she had just gotten out of the hospital and had three broken ribs. That last spicy one could have been in the epilogue in my opinion.
Overall I enjoyed the story.

Stalkers Anonymous is the perfect book for anyone looking to dip their toes into dark romance. Since it’s a dark rom-com, it doesn’t lean too heavily into the darker elements of the subgenre.
For me, until almost the very end, the book felt like a meet-cute — aside from a few problematic issues with Cole (the MMC), since he has a "little" stalking problem. However, even though he definitely crosses the line, the dark romance aspect is softened by his motivations and how he actually stalks people. I won't go into details to avoid spoilers, haha! But trust me, even if you aren't used to dark romance, you won't find his actions totally uncalled for because of the way his character was built. In fact, I was rooting for him from the very first second!
I absolutely loved Hailey character development! She starts off very closed off, unable to show vulnerability or ask for help. As the story unfolds and things happen, she starts learning how to open up, and it’s incredibly rewarding to watch her grow.
For me, the weakest part of the book was the ending. Not only did it feel rushed, but I also felt like the whole subplot involving Stalkers Anonymous kind of derailed Cole's growth. Ironically, this is the exact moment where the plot takes a sharp turn and the dark romance aspects come to light.
Unfortunately, I felt like it undermined Cole's development, which heavily impacted my final rating.
Even so, I had a great time reading it. I highly recommend it to anyone who has never read dark romance and wants to try the genre, or to those who simply prefer a lighter dark romance. Stalkers Anonymous is a fun read with engaging characters, a couple with great chemistry, and for those who enjoy smut, it definitely has a good spice level, haha.

Cole, was recently hired by a security firm under the condition that he participates in IBSG (aka Stalkers Anonymous) for crossing lines with his sisters abusive ex. Meanwhile Hailey, an ER resident, is struggling with a drug-seeking patient that begins to hyper-fixate on her. When push comes to literal shove Cole is forced to face his own behavior to help them both find the peace they deserve!

I really loved this book! I loved pretty much every character—except the one I was very clearly supposed to hate, and trust me, I HATED him. 😂
The romance was sweet, protective, a little unhinged, and had just the right amount of spice for me. But what surprised me most was how much heart there was underneath everything else.
I loved seeing characters fight for people who weren’t getting the help or support they needed. There are themes of surviving trauma, recovering from addiction, learning to forgive yourself, and realizing that your past doesn’t have to define the person you become.
One of my favorite messages throughout the story was that recovery isn’t about suddenly becoming perfect. It’s about trying to be a little better than you were the day before. You can acknowledge the person you used to be, forgive yourself for that person, and still choose to become someone new.
Add in the romance, suspense, morally gray decisions, found family, and characters I genuinely cared about, and this one was such an enjoyable read.
Definitely recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
And that title is honestly a little sneaky because I would NOT have expected this much emotional depth from a book called Stalkers Anonymous. 😂 It releases September 1, 2026.

I really loved this book! I loved pretty much every character—except the one I was very clearly supposed to hate, and trust me, I HATED him. 😂
The romance was sweet, protective, a little unhinged, and had just the right amount of spice for me. But what surprised me most was how much heart there was underneath everything else.
I loved seeing characters fight for people who weren’t getting the help or support they needed. There are themes of surviving trauma, recovering from addiction, learning to forgive yourself, and realizing that your past doesn’t have to define the person you become.
One of my favorite messages throughout the story was that recovery isn’t about suddenly becoming perfect. It’s about trying to be a little better than you were the day before. You can acknowledge the person you used to be, forgive yourself for that person, and still choose to become someone new.
Add in the romance, suspense, morally gray decisions, found family, and characters I genuinely cared about, and this one was such an enjoyable read.
Definitely recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
And that title is honestly a little sneaky because I would NOT have expected this much emotional depth from a book called Stalkers Anonymous. 😂 It releases September 1, 2026.

I enjoyed this book. It was a vanilla version of Lights Out with some Avengers at the end. She's an ER doctor and he works in cyber security. She's got a stalker and he has a stalking problem. I will say, with the time line movement in the last quarter of the book, the forgiveness didn't feel quite so rushed as in Lights Out.
I will never look at ketchup packets the same way.
The FMC is correct about Die-Hard.
I love her stance on hot dogs and tacos 🤣

I really enjoyed this book! I liked the twist on your typical stalker romance, I thought that it was pretty unique! The characters felt real and I especially liked Hailey's reaction when she learned everything, it wasn't just swept under the rug! I especially loved the stalkers anonymous therapy group and how they all played into the story, what a fun concept! If you enjoy stalker romances with a bit of a thriller aspect mixed in I would definitely recommend this book! I can't wait for more stories in this series, especially for Tyler!

Wow! I was looking forward to reading this book based on the blurb and I was so excited for it. This story had my attention from the beginning with the humor, banter and suspense. Imagine a recovery for former stalkers who truly felt overstepping boundaries were justified. Cole and Hailey have the most adorable meet cute and a truly harrowing beginning to their relationship. I really enjoyed this story and cannot wait to get my physical trophy when it comes out!

I love a good meet cute! This book is the perfect blend of dark romance and rom com. I ate this book up, literally did not want to put it down. The plot twists 🤯 I’m committed to keeping my reviews spoiler free, but just know, it’s not what you think!

Also, I would like to say as a healthcare professional, that the medical references were not annoying or incorrect. Huge plus! 😂

Cole Matthews isn’t a stalker. He’s just a hyper vigilante man who doesn’t like seeing the people he cares for in danger. When a situation goes further than he expected he ends up in a therapy group for those with stalker tendencies. When he meets a woman who finds herself in danger, he must figure out if he’s the hero or if he’s the problem.
I was really looking forward to this book, but the marketing and the experience did not match up. The characters were strong, but they couldn’t hold the story for me. This book was marketed as a dark romantic comedy. The “dark” didn’t really hit. The first time I even smiled at something in the book was over 80% through and the romance fell flat. The first 80% of this book was therapy. I get that dark romance stalkers have become a trend and finding the romantic trend in unhinged behavior. But this didn’t have that, it was all about the recovery for so long in. If it hadn’t been an ARC, I probably wouldn’t have finished.
At about 80% in the story finally got a little bit more of what I expected based on the marketing. Had the shift happened earlier, the book wouldn’t have dragged as much and it may have felt more rom-com and less therapy focused.
As always this is my opinion and may not be the case for everyone, so if the premise interests you, please don’t let me dissuade you from trying it.

Disliked: Didn't hold attention, Dry writing, Inconsistent tone
Would I recommend? No

I’ve been reading ALOT of fantasy lately and this was a great palate cleanser. It was a quick read but fun. The characters were complex and grew through the story. Would recommend for a fun time.

Yes, I’m giving this book 5 stars. It was different from the type of books I read and I loved it! I was hooked from page 1 and it just got better. It wasn’t a dragging romance where the pace goes slowly. It had a great plot and even a twist I didn’t see coming. If you like a morally grey character with one major flaw, pick this one up.

First off: I loved the concept of this story. A recovering stalker in a therapy group setting that is trying to better himself at first because he has to but then also because he meets a woman he really likes.
Cole was a complex and intriguing main character that had lots of layers to him and the author did a great job at bringing his conflicting emotions and spiraling mental gymnastics to life.
Hailey on the other hand was a strong contrast to his character and I couldn‘t always understand her reasoning for some of the decisions she made, but her character development turned out really good in the end.
But the devil might be in the detail with this story for me. The romance felt too rushed, the chemistry between the characters was flimsy at best and the reveal at the end fell kinda flat, because it was really predictable for me. The overarching plot became really repetitive towards the last third of the book and I found myself not caring anymore.
It wasn‘t a bad book by any means with some great moments and characters, but I expected more and in the end it suffered a bit from the inconsistency of great moments and a pretty mediocre plot.
