[Romance Reader Obsession]

J.L. Drake is a Mastermind!!!!

She is back with another Rollercoaster ride that will leave your head spinning. Once again I felt like I was in a CSI show trying to figure out the crime scene and who the BWK is while Brad and Bree figure out their romantic relationship and the struggles that come with it.

Brilliant, just absolutely Brilliant. Grab your favorite beverage, blanket and chair and get ready to let the world around you fade as the BWK is back to suck you in until the very last page.

ARC REVIEW | Pull Me Under by J.L. Drake

Bree and Brad finally!!! 🙌🏻 I loved watching Bree finally give in to Brad after that slow-burn build-up. Their romance was definitely worth the wait!

But the suspense? SO GOOD. I honestly had no idea who the murderer was. Every time I thought I had it figured out, something happened that had me changing my mind and suspecting someone else. I love when a romantic suspense can actually keep me guessing until the reveal!

And that last chapter from the BWK’s POV?! Such a great way to end it and gave the story that extra chilling touch.y

The previous book is Breathe Me In. I recommend to read the books in order.
Pull Me Under is a slow burn thriller telling the story of PI Bree and Detective Brad who're childhood friends who currently reunited over the case of some murders in their hometown.
Suspenseful, a great read with fantastic storyline and characters, 5 stars.

I went into this book without reading the first one in the series, and while I was still able to follow the main story, I definitely felt like I was missing some background information and character history.

Despite this, I was able to quickly get into the story and was invested early on and engaged into the mystery
I really enjoyed the chemistry between the characters and found myself rooting for them throughout the book
Even though I felt a little lost at times, it didn't stop me from enjoying the book
Overall, this was an entertaining and addictive romantic suspense novel that kept me turning the pages, and it has definitely made me want to go back and read the first book.

Pull Me Under completely pulled me in! This was such an intense, dark, and addictive read, and once I started, I had a hard time putting it down. I loved the tension and the feeling that there was always something lurking just beneath the surface.

J. L. Drake did a great job creating that constant sense of unease while keeping me invested in the characters and their story. There were plenty of moments where I thought I knew where things were headed, only to find myself questioning everything again. I love when a book keeps me guessing and makes me want to read “just one more chapter.”

Dark, suspenseful, emotional, and completely binge-worthy. This was exactly the kind of twisted page-turner I was in the mood for, and I really enjoyed the ride!

Love is in the air right?

Brad and bree were everything you need in a suspensful mysterious killer plot honestly, i loved everything about this book, even though i read it when I was super sleepy it kept me at my toes, I guessed the killer two times and I was right the first time which was my luck, I loved both of their chemistry but the eerie dark atmosphere was such a treat, such a good fall read this was, good chilling investigation plot !!

I cannot wait to read book 1, I know i Will enjoy that equally 🖤

I was lucky in the sense I had only just found this author and read 'Breathe Me In' when u stumbled across her looking for ARC readers for the second in the series. So I was able to pick up where I left off in book 1 fairly quickly.

Enjoyed this instalment just as much as I enjoyed the first however, I was hoping to find out who the illustrious BWK is... book 3 will hopefully be almost finished 🤞🤣
