The Wrong Number But The Right Guy

All it took was a text to the wrong number for Hannah and Evan’s crush to take shape into something more. Hannah needed a plus one to her BFF’s wedding since her ex is in the wedding party as well. That’s when the grumpy biker steps up since he is best friends with Hannah’s brother and figures this is his chance to spend some time with the woman; he has feelings for.

This was a quick, fun, wrong number, steamy read that I enjoyed.

I absolutely loved the idea behind this one! Hannah thinks she's drunkenly texting her brother for a much-needed plus-one to her best friend's wedding, only to accidentally send every message to his grumpy biker best friend instead. And Evan "Grim" Benson knows perfectly well those texts aren't meant for him—he just can't bring himself to tell her.

Honestly, I was rooting for Grim almost immediately.

He's spent years quietly pining for Hannah while keeping his distance out of loyalty to her brother, Everett. So when she accidentally asks him to show up in a black suit and rescue her from a miserable wedding weekend with her ex, this wrong number gives him the opportunity he's never allowed himself to take. And when he actually arrives wearing the suit she requested—but riding the Harley she definitely didn't—I was completely invested.

The fake-dating setup was so much fun, especially with Hannah's ex serving as the best man. I couldn't stand the way her ex treated her, which made every moment Grim stepped closer, put a protective hand at her back, or silently made it clear that Hannah wasn't facing him alone that much more satisfying.

But what really made me love Grim was discovering what was underneath all those years of grumpy looks and silence. Hannah has believed for a decade that he can barely tolerate her, while this poor man has actually been secretly wanting her the entire time. Give me a broody biker who has been quietly pining for his best friend's sister for years, and I'm sold!

I also appreciated that the wrong-number misunderstanding isn't the only thing standing between them. Once Hannah discovers the truth, Grim has to face the fact that loving her means actually communicating with her instead of hiding behind silence. Their romance is sweet, steamy, funny, and surprisingly tender for a story that begins with one very questionable drunken text.

And I was so happy to see Mama Mae make an appearance!

This was another enjoyable addition to the Wrong Number, Right Grump multi-author series. If you love wrong-number mishaps, fake dating, brother's-best-friend romance, secret pining, protective bikers, toxic exes getting shown exactly what they lost, and a grumpy man who has been hopelessly in love far longer than anyone realized, Hannah and Grim's story is definitely one to pick up. Sometimes sending a message to the wrong person turns out to be exactly the right mistake.

Unfortunately, after a little wine-fueled panic, her desperate cry for help goes to a number that definitely isn’t her brother’s and so, it’s Evan Benson, aka Grim, who promptly turns up at her door. Hannah had a teeny-tiny crush on her brother’s best friend back in the day, but Evan made it abundantly clear that he wasn’t interested. As far as Hannah was concerned, he saw her as nothing more than an annoying little sister, living up to that rather unfortunate name of Grim. Oh, but how spectacularly wrong she was! Evan slips into the role of her fake date with surprising ease. In fact, he’s so convincing that Hannah starts to wonder if maybe there’s something real behind all that chemistry. And what happens when she shares these unfamiliar feelings in what she thinks are texts sent to her brother but which are actually going straight to Evan’s phone. 😂 Evan has been in love with Hannah for years. He’s just spent all that time keeping his distance out of a misguided sense of loyalty to her brother. But once those messages land on his phone, Evan decides he’s had enough of holding back. And honestly? It’s way overdue! I loved the way Evan steps up to protect Hannah, especially when her toxic ex still manages to undermine her confidence with just a few well-chosen words eighteen months after their breakup. Hannah is understandably confused by Evan’s sudden change of heart, but when she discovers the hilarious mix-up with the phone number (well, maybe not so hilarious to her), Evan finally stops hiding behind his silence and tells her he wants more. Though there’s no doubt of their chemistry, I loved the fact that Hannah wouldn’t accept half measures and wanted openness and honesty even when it hurt. I suspect that was the hardest part for Evan, who had spent years convincing himself that keeping quiet was the right thing to do. This is a sweet, low-spice romance with plenty of chemistry, a fun fake-dating setup and a hero who has been secretly pining for far too long. But beneath the romance, it also has a lovely reminder that desire is only part of the equation and that honesty, communication and being brave enough to say what you really want are just as important.

Wrong Number, Right Grumpy Biker — Eve London ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐ (5/5) This was a fun, fast-paced small-town romance that delivered exactly what I wanted—a grumpy biker hero, fake dating, a brother’s best friend, and plenty of swoony moments. I couldn’t put it down!

Evan “Grim” Benson is the perfect grumpy hero. Quiet, fiercely loyal, and protective, he’s spent years hiding his feelings for the one woman he believes is completely off-limits. He may not say much, but his actions speak volumes. From showing up in the suit she unknowingly requested to stepping in whenever her toxic ex gets too close, he proves over and over that he’s always been looking out for her.

The heroine is easy to love. A simple wrong text turns into the beginning of something neither of them expected, and I enjoyed watching her slowly realize that the man she thought barely tolerated her had actually been quietly caring all along. Their chemistry is immediate, but their emotional connection makes the romance even stronger.

The fake dating setup was a lot of fun, especially during the wedding weekend. Watching Evan play the devoted date while trying to hide his real feelings created plenty of sweet, funny, and emotional moments. The brother’s-best-friend trope added even more tension, making every stolen glance and lingering touch feel meaningful.

Despite being a novella, the story never felt rushed. It balanced humor, romance, and heartfelt emotion while giving both characters a satisfying journey toward their happily ever after.

I picked up Wrong Number, Right Grumpy Biker expecting a fun wrong-number romance, and wow—this little novella came roaring in on a Harley and stole my heart. Hannah accidentally texting Evan instead of her brother is such a delicious setup, and the moment Grim shows up in that black suit? Chef’s kiss. The whole premise is playful, swoony, and packed with the kind of tension that makes you grin at your page.

Evan is the perfect grumpy biker hero: quiet, protective, stubborn, and secretly soft in all the best ways. I loved the brother’s-best-friend dynamic, the fake-dating spark, and the way the wedding-weekend chaos gave these two exactly the nudge they needed. Hannah’s voice is easy to root for, and her chemistry with Evan crackles from the very first mistaken text.

This is a short, steamy, happily-ever-after treat that knows exactly what it wants to be and delivers it with confidence. If you like small-town romance, protective heroes, messy ex drama, wrong-number shenanigans, and grumpy men who fall hard, this one is an easy five-star yes from me. A delightful addition to this series by one of my favorite authors. When Hanna learns that her ex has stepped in as the best man at the wedding where she is the maid of honor, she panics. She texts her brother, Everett, asking that he be her plus-one at the wedding. Not realizing that she texted the wrong “E” in her texts, she has texted Evan Benson, aka her brothers’ friend Grim. She has often wondered what it would be like to consider Grim her friend as well and maybe something more, but he has always kept to himself. Grim soon realizes that her text, to him, was intended for her brother. Before he considers the rightness of doing so, he answers her texts and seriously considers being her plus-one. When her brother, who is unaware that Grim received her texts, asks if he can step in, he is on his way. Never believing that she could be interested in him, he still wants to be there for her. A truly delightful romance, but how will Hanna react when she learns that he was the one texting her? The Right Time and Place for a Love Connection -
Hannah had been crushing on Grimm for years, but he had never shown interest in her, so she was shocked when he agreed to help her navigate a difficult situation concerning her ex-boyfriend. Even though Grimm was attracted to Hannah, he had tried everything possible to stay away from her because she was his best friend’s sister, but he couldn’t say no when she needed help. The sparks between Hannah and Grimm exploded from the moment he touched her and combined with the longing looks and stolen kisses, they both knew they were up in trouble.

However, Grimm was keeping a secret from Hannah, which he feared could potentially disrupt their budding romance, so he allowed their connection to grow. Thankfully, Hannah didn’t end their relationship when she found out the truth Grimm had been hiding, which made it easier for them to go on and build a life together. This was a nice, easy read with minimal drama, the right amount of strand, that will tug at heartstrings and leave you feeling good.

This was a fun and short biker romance with the classic best friend's little sister setup and a wrong-number romance thrown into the mix.

The heroine accidentally sends a message to the wrong number, and the hero receives it. What makes the situation more interesting is that he realizes fairly quickly who she is but doesn't tell her that he has the wrong number. He keeps the conversation going for quite some time without being completely upfront about it.

I appreciated that the book doesn't simply gloss over this behavior. It is actually addressed later in the story, and the characters have to deal with the fact that he wasn't honest about how their communication started. That made the situation feel a little more realistic than if it had just been treated as a harmless plot device.

Apart from that, this is a fairly typical biker romance with an entertaining setup and a quick pace. The relationship develops in a fun way, and I enjoyed the combination of the wrong-number and best-friend's-little-sister tropes.

Overall, this was an enjoyable, easy-to-read romance that makes for a nice quick read.

Recently heartbroken, Hannah needs a plus one for her bff's wedding, so texts her brother Everrett for help. What she doesn't realise is she's text Evan aka Grim, his bff. The man shes had a crush on for years! Happy to help, Evan plays into the mistake, not correcting her assumptions.

'Everett had said once I was the one guy he could trust around her. He'd been right about that. Until I read her message.'

Finally able to make his move, Evan does everything within his power to assure her his the man for the job, even if technically his evading telling her the truth. When it all comes to light, Evan realises he could lose the thing his wanted most in his life

"I was wrong," I said. "Not because loving you was wrong. Because taking your choice away by not correcting the mistake was."

A fantastic story with great characters and a HEA.

She doesn't realize she has texted the wrong "E" contact entry in her phone and instead of her brother "Everett", she texts for help from his grumpy biker friend "Evan", who never told her his real feelings for her. Evan definitely wants to help just to see her again! Since Evan is the one who arrives to help her, Hannah assumes her brother must have sent him in his place. He never leaves her side, possessively holding her close if the best man tries to approach her. Will the two of them finally realize how they feel about each other? Could this be a HEA for both them? Or will they walk away in embarrassment after she figures out what happened to bring them together?

She doesn’t realize she accidentally texted the wrong man, her brother’s best friend and a man she’s had a crush on for years. He shows up to save her. There’s something else in his eyes also. Something she’s waited a long time to see. This is not really an MC romance., well he is a biker. There is no club crossover with this one. This is two people who have circled each other for a long time that finally have their moment it is Sweet with their mutual pining. It is also for the most part close door. While they referenced spice there are no details and you definitely feel more like an outsider in this story.

Loved this brother's best friend/wrong number mistaken texts between Hannah and MC biker Evan/Grim. Poor Hannah had to deal with others making decisions on her behalf (and for their own gain) with not only her BFF bride friend, but also with Evan/Grim. I'm glad Hannah was strong enough to make her points clear and make others admit why they did the things they did. I was happy that Everett, Hannah's brother, clarified his stance to Evan. Love Mama Mae's input as always. Loved the chemistry between Grim and Hannah and glad that the EX was basically the catalyst only for Grim and Hannah's getting together.

Hannah found out her ex is going to be best man at her best friend's wedding. Drowning her sorrows she thought she texted her brother for a plus one instead was his grumpy biker best friend Grim "Evan". I absolutely was rooting for Grim. He's been pining for Hannah for years but his loyalty lies to his best friend. Hannah is a relatable FMC and I wanted to shake her ex with how he treated her. Happy to see Mama Mae in this book. Enjoyable read.

The plot follows her decision on how to handle her feelings for someone so guarded, and whether he can learn to be truly honest with her. Wrong Number, Right Grumpy Biker is sweet Heat with no spice and lots of feels. Hannah and Grim have an undeniable connection, and her drunk text sets off a chain of events that is laugh out loud funny and at the same time real and down to earth. I love that she inadvertently tells him everything openly and honestly, and that he always sees her and encourages her, showing up no matter what. Their misunderstanding is a bit far-fetched but makes for great entertainment. This is a quick and easy read with a sweet HEA.

He is by her side through all the events, what will she do when she finds out the truth. Evan has been in love with her for some time but has considered her off limits.

It's always bittersweet when two people harbor crushes and romantic feelings until years later, when an opportunity arises to clear things up between them and be together. In the meantime, they probably have unpleasant, horrible, or meaningless experiences with other people.

I have many questions regarding what happens and what is missing in the story.

Unfortunately, these types of ex-boyfriends in stories take away focus from the main plot and occupy too much space in my mind until I read another story without them.

Hannah’s best friend surprised her at the wedding destination with news that the best man is Hannah's ex-boyfriend. Hannah is miffed but not enough to ditch her best friend’s wedding. But she drunk text for backup: she means to message her brother but actually contacts his best friend, Grim.

Grim wants to be there for her and the two keep messaging through the events—with Hannah thinking her messages are going to her brother.

I liked how Grim wanted to be wanted and be there for her. But he also wasn’t entirely honest with her—just like her best friend. Can he learn the lesson and be honest?

Grim has loved Hannah he feels forever. But her brother told him that he was the only man he trusted with her. When Hannah is drunk one night she thinks she’s texting her brother but she’s texting Grim. She says she needs a plus one for a wedding where her ex will be. Grim answers her texts and he meets her as her plus one. This is a very sweet feel good romance. Loved Grim and Hannah, they’re perfect together. Loving this multi author series.

Love this collaborated series. Each storyline starts with a text or call to the wrong number that leads to a fantastic ending. Hannah just found out that her ex is going to be at her best friend’s wedding. Texting her brother to be her plus one as a buffer. Grim received a text from his best friend’s sister to be her plus one at a wedding. Realizing she meant to text her brother instead of him, he decided to accept the invitation without correcting her. Great story.

As maid of honor for her best friend and taking her duties above and beyond, Hannah is completely taken off guard when her friend tells her that her ex is now in the wedding. Needing some space to get her thoughts together and a bottle of wine, Hannah sends out an SOS to her brother, or so she thinks. When Grim gets the text from Hannah he sees it as his chance to finally step up and make her his, but he may go about things in the wrong way. This was a quick read, that was sweet, with great characters.

This was fun, sexy and sweet all rolled into one. Most of us have drunk texted the wrong person ( for Hannah it was the right one to be truthful) asking for help. Hannah assumed she was texting her brother to help her out of a situation but when Evan turns up he helps her out in more ways than one. Evan the MMC is the FMC’ s brothers best friend who has been pining for her on the quiet. Now is his time to shine and admit his feelings. What a great story, so steamy and witty and so relatable. We got a glimpse of Mama Mae once more too. Great read.

I seem to be finding a lot of potental auto-read authors while reading the Wrong Number, Right Grump series... And I'm here for it. Eve London is another new to me short romance author and I had so much fun reading Grim and Hannah's romance. The secretly yearning from Grim was so good. The reason why he didn't tell Hannah the truth was sweet. I'm all for communication, but with his reason, I was okay with that little lie by omission. Hannah was adorable and strong. Loved them together.
