Matthew was busy digging a hole in his mother‘s garden when he decided that he was going to use that hole to trap midnight turkeys. That night he woke just after midnight and there were turkeys in the garden. Matthew and the turkeys had quite a night of fun and adventure. Funny illustrations.

I wish they made the little books still, but I’m glad we have a few. Maddie considers them to be Papa Bear’s library.

Matthew and the Midnight Turkeys by Allen Morgan is a picture book about Matthew, a very silly young boy who digs a hole in the back garden to trap the midnight turkeys so he can have them for breakfast.

This book is a fun read with lots of silly jokes, made better by the wonderful illustrations by Michael Martchenko which really add to the story, matching up with the story really well. This book is a joy to read from start to finish and may even make you hungry.
