Salvation: Night Horses MC

Megan:

I never wanted my prom night to end up like that, crying in my dress at three o'clock in the morning at a truck stop. I'd have a dozen bad nights, though, without a thought, if it let me meet him.

Merle:

I knew I needed more in my life, knew I had to find something to live for, but a high school girl? Sure, she wasn't jailbait, but she was young, and I couldn't let her get mixed up in my life.

This book has the first four books in the Night Horse MC series. It is a very short book but it was really good, although I'm not to happy with the cliffy ending. Megan is an eighteen year old High School senior whose parents make her go to the prom with Nate, a family friend they've known for years. Nate turns out to be a total douchebag & Megan never even makes to her prom & ends up at a truck stop alone at 3am crying with a ripped & stained dress. Merle is the President of the Night Horse MC & he sees Megan sitting in the parking lot crying so he offers her a handkerchief & a shoulder to cry on. Merle meets her parents & gets grilled by them but still wants to take her on a date anyway. They go to a restaurant that Merle isn't aware is owned by the MC's rival cartel & when a waitress sees Merle with Megan she tells El Jefe. While Megan is asleep in her bed that night someone comes into her bedroom & holds a knife to her throat & tells her to come with them or they will kill her parents. They take her to El Jefe who wants info on the MC, she tries to tell him she doesn't know anything but he keeps her locked in a dark room with little food & he tries beating the info out of her. She is stuck there for 9 days until Merle & the MC come & rescue her.

This was a very nice ending to a pretty good MC romance series. It might not be for some people as it wasn't super heavy on the MC stuff. It was more about a young girl that finds love in someone who appears to be her exact opposite. But I think from the moment that Merle meets Megan and hands her a handkerchief he also hands her his heart! It is a classic story of don't judge a book by its cover. This book took one really big unexpected twist that even I was not ready for but once I really thought about it, it all made sense. If you like to try to figure out "whodunnit" books, this is a series for you!

Great read

It was nice to read an MC book that wasn't trying to be like a TV show. The characters were so well written, you couldn't help but want to know more, author is new to me but after reading this I shall now read more of her work

Bored

I was really bored with this book and could not wait for it to be over. She was still in High School and he was a leader of the MC at 24. It just wasn't a good story, sorry.
