I know there was a lot more excitement for this back when it was released because of New 52, overall I felt the story was okay. Wasn't terrible, it's setting up something different and it's nice to see Kingdom Come characters. I'm interested in the second issue, but the story overall wasn't enough to get me hyped.
The best thing about this book is the return of Kon-El, the 90's version of Superboy (only don't call him that to his face), a teenage clone created in the aftermath of Superman's death at the hands of Doomsday. This book pits the Boy of Steel against the Kingdom Come versions of Nightwing and The Flash, with a finale that promises a throwdown with the Man of Steel himself. The artwork by Karl Moline is good, but I prefer Tom Grummett's original artwork from back in the day; Fabian Nicieza pens an excellent chapter in the Convergence event, which pits characters from very different DC eras against one another, ending of a perfect cliffhanger.
In another Convergence title the 90's version of superboy returns!Which is quite enjoyable, the art is great and so is the writing but the convergence title continues of which city will survive the battle going on between other universes.
