"Oh, Brother captures the innocence and fun of being a kid. The delightful drawings and snappy warm-hearted humor make this one of my very favorite comics!" — Sherm Cohen, artist/writer: SpongeBob SquarePants
"Oh, Brother!" stars the sibling duo of Bud and Lily, who humorously interact within the leafy confines of their middle-class suburban home and neighborhood. Whether they are playing together in the family room or running amok in the schoolyard, Bud and Lily elevate the act of one-upmanship to Code Red levels. Lily is the quintessential slightly older and far more sensible sister. She takes it upon herself to look after her uninhibited, prank-loving younger brother, Bud. While Lily wins the occasional battle with her cool-headed maturity, Bud is intent on winning the war with his brazen brand of mischief. Despite their obvious differences, Bud and Lily love each other deeply and have a strong sibling bond.
'Oh, Brother! Brat Attack' by Bob Weber with illustrations by Jay Stephens is a playful book full of cartoons that show the fun side of sibling rivalry.
Sister Lily and younger brother Bud are the stars of this series of comics. She looks after him, and he looks for ways to annoy her. He is a typical little brother: willing to eat your cupcake, but not willing to do the chores. Bud gives as good as he gets though. Lily may seem to get the worst of things, but she gets Bud back. Lest I make you think this is just a big fight between two siblings, there are also moments of genuine affection between them. Bud and Lily really care about each other.
The humor is great and so is the art. I enjoyed this and it brought back memories of times with my brother and sister. It's a perfect collection of laughs for younger readers. I really enjoyed it and if you're looking for kid-friendly comics for kids, you can't go wrong with any of the AMPkids line of books.
I received a review copy of this graphic novel from Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.
What a hilarious comic collection! Each page has a different cartoon strip story involving this brother and sister, Bud and Lily, in a hilarious escapade. The stories all portray Lily as the cool, calm collected sibling whilst Bud is a prankster, full of mischief and causing mayhem but the laugh isn’t always at Lily’s expense, she does get the upper hand at times . They are brilliant, well illustrated, colourful and, of course, funny! I really enjoyed reading them - and sharing them with other members of my family who had asked what I was laughing about. Highly recommend to anyone who can read block capital text, whatever their age, who likes having a laugh at comic strip humour.
Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too for provided an ARC for me to read in exchange for this, my honest review.
Oh Brother! ...is right! This sure brings back a lot of memories of me and my sister. I love the illustrations and some of the humor was laugh out loud funny to me. (And I seldom laugh out loud!) Great fun for all ages and maybe even a lesson or two. Adorable book!

"Oh, Brother! Brat Attack!" by Bob Weber, We are so proud of your accomplishment. You did experience why it is important to have patience, understanding and getting along with your sister . What the story shows is even if Sarah being terrible sometimes, all you have to do is love her and try to be patient with her. Take this lesson and be more kind, patient to Sarah so that you can create a happy home. Love, Mom and Dad
It was the funniest book I ever read! Lily says "why on earth did you put your dirty socks in the toilet?" He said, "I was half asleep when I did that." Then he says, "don't look in the hamper." It was so funny. He peed in the hamper. That's what most people think.

This volume is meant for the younger crowd - childish humor includes snow-to-the-face, squirting-with-the-hose and farting. Leave off if you're older than five.
have you ever got mad a your little siblings well this book is about a young girl and her little brother about all the problems you have when you have siblings
Charmingly old-fashioned cartoons. Very family friendly. Very cute. It's the kind of book I could have shared with my daughter when she was a beginning reader.
Oh, Brother! Brat Attack! is a humor comic about two siblings Lily and Bud. Lily is the big sister as Bud is the little brother. The comic is a strip comic containing jokes and sibling rivalry without a real plot - so basically a great comic for kids. Some of the jokes were insightful, but many felt quite cliched or not that funny. For me the biggest problem was that Lily doesn't feel like a sister, but more like a mom. She acts like an adult and very mom-like. Bud on the other hand is more realistic as the bratty kid. Lily's lack of childishness makes her a somewhat boring character and the fact that the parents are absent makes her the mom even more. It's great that the time passes, but it's not enough to keep this going - some kind of plot or theme would've worked wonders.
Art-wise this looks like Popeye or Flintstones (Hanna-Barberaish altogether). It's nostalgic in a way, but doesn't look so modern, for kids at least. The colors are nice and vibrant and it's always great for kids. For adults this doesn't offer that much, but I'm not so sure if that's a bad thing. For the target audience this seems OK. A themed structure along with making Lily actually a kid would make this better still, but this Dennis the Menace thing is OK now too - just nothing spectacular.
Oh, Brother! Brat Attack! is a book made up of various comic strips about two siblings Lily and Bud. Lily is the big sister and Bud is the little brother. The comics contain jokes and cartoons demonstrating sibling rivalry. There are also several mini stories that show the affection between the two of them as well, which makes it quite realistic. Each page is like a mini story so can be picked up and read whenever. This is great for kids. Lily doesn't always act like a sister, more like a mom or babysitter. She acts very grown up, more like an adult. Bud on the other hand is the little brother or the bratty kid, hence the title. There are comments made by Lily referring to their parents, but you never see them in the book. I think children would also like the fact that there do not seem to be adults around to spoil the fun.
The illustrations are cute with nice bright colours. They would appeal to kids as the characters look very cartoonish (like on Saturday morning cartoons).
I think kids would enjoy this book especially if they have a sibling. I identified with Lily having to "mother" my little brother who was seven years younger than me.

I’ve been finding a lot of comic strips I’m unfamiliar with lately, but if they’re anything like their book collections, I will be following them daily. As the title says, the main character is indeed a brat, and though his shenanigans are often funny, you cant help but feel for his long-suffering sister. Which is not to say she’s helpless, as she gets her own digs and practical jokes in—I find myself enjoying when she gets the best of him the most—but of course not nearly as much as her little brother. I found this funnier than most, which is saying a lot. My favorite has to be at the amusement park, where the brat thinks, “The longer the line, the better the ride!” only to be told this was the line for the ladies’ room. As might be expected from a comic strip rather than a graphic novel, the artwork is not meant to impress with its beauty; it does its job, which is to compliment the humor, especially the reaction shots in the last panel. Despite everyday words and situations, it comes across as smarter than most, which may explain why I like it so much.
Oh, Brother! is a wonderful read for all ages. There is the expected conflict between siblings and the many situations most of us will recognize from our own lives. One thing that shines through here more than in some other sibling rivalry comics is the inherent love the kids feel for each other. The actions that might not be the sweetest (hey, that is what siblings do!) is not done with the meanness seen in some strips.
I would recommend this for all ages and especially for pairs (or more) of siblings living through similar moments.

This graphic novel is all about the antics of little brother Bud and his interactions with big sister, Lily. Overall, it is quite humorous and students with siblings will definitely relate to he interactions between these two. Full color illustrations complement the text. While this highlights sibling relationships, Lily acts very much like a mother figure. It annoys me that the parents are never portrayed and rarely even referenced, but I doubt that will occur to students.
I just loved this book. It was so cute with Lily, the older, sensible sister and Bud, her fun loving younger brother. Eevn though Bud can be a brat - eats her sweets, plays tricks, etc - you can tell she likes him. Each page or two is a new situation so for the younger readers this will be a fun read.
A perfectly delightful comic collection! Oh, Brother! Brat Attack! had me smiling and laughing from beginning to end. The jokes are delivered in rapid fire smartness and the illustrations are full of vitality and delicious, vibrant color! This book is a gem!
Each page is a different comic, and the comics are all super cute and funny. I was under the impression that the book would have an overarching plot, though, and I was kind of bummed that it didn't.
