A bit repetitive but a great source of info about magnesium and it's plethora of roles in the body. I knew about how important it was for heart health and muscle health but not the importance of it's role in tandem with calcium and vitamin D absorption thus preventing osteoporosis and other issues. Neither did I realize it's role in pregnancy, nerve health, or energy levels. If you want to prevent diabetes & heart disease, treat insomnia, treat PMS and PCOS, then I highly recommend this 20 min read for your health.
Well written. Magnesium is a must. For everyone. I wanted to be healthy again. I did not take it for high blood pressure. But my blood pressure is now where it should be.
I tried various magnesium. The latest was magnesium chloride at 2 grams. Too much. I got the idea I must saturate my self slowly. I go from 400 mg of Mag Chloride mixed into my daily water. Only getting 400 mg per day. Next week up it yo 800 mg per day for 7 days then 1200 mg through the day 7 days. And continue until my stool gets loose. 😜
I learned a lot about the importance of magnesium in our diet, why we might need to supplement it or adjust our diet to increase the amount of the foods that supply magnesium and, what health problems we're dealing with that may be directly related. I especially liked that the author listed the many ways we can boost our magnesium levels by diet instead of adding more pills!
This was a fairly easy to understand medical book, written for the lay person. I never knew the great importance of magnesium before and this was full of helpful information. I started taking a multiple vitamin with magnesium right away and we'll see if that helps my body. It will take time to know whether this book was as helpful as I hope it will be, but I'm thinking positive and gave it 5-stars.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Very informative and well written too. I knew magnesium was important but not how much, or that there are so many various kinds. Looking back to my teenage years, and early adulthood, blighted by excruciating period pains, I now realise (along with other clues in this book) I was very magnesium deficient. If you have any interest in your health, do read this book.
I have suffered a lack of magnesium most of my life, I am only seeing this now late in life. I had already spent a year researching and supplementing, but this book still gave me some new information on which type is best for what, and how best and easily to get magnesium aside from supplements.
His book was very informative. It's interesting to see the things that can help you stay healthy.None of my doctor's has ever given me any of that advice .The most I got was to take a multivitamin.I will definitely be keeping this book around as a reference.
Most books I read have so much additional information on author and schools they graduated from, but this book is just about magnesium. Both styles of books are needed but I was in the mood for facts and tips. I learned so new information that I will look into later.
Found a lot of very useful information in this small BUT full of simple helpful guidance book. It really is an amazing how much you can learn. I also liked that advice to follow was not to do this or buy but that, which usually costs a fortune and is beyond what we normal working people can afford. Thank you to the author
I've recently been diagnosed with low Magnesium and Iron deficiencies, and as a T2 Diabetic, it explained a lot about the horrendous vein pain and cramps I've been experiencing. Once I started reading this book, I found myself continually commenting 'that's me!' It was so comforting to find information that resonated with me and has given me peace of mind.
I learnt a lot from this book, full of information, some I already knew which help to reinforce and add to my knowledge. Very useful tips and can recommend it to all
I've been feeling lousy and my symptoms suggest that I have a Magnesium deficiency. This book seems to be a good starting point for research. The sources listed at the end of the book seem to be reputable. It was an easy and quick read.
This book reads easy while covering a lot if information! Every person will benefit from reading this book, whether it be to help themselves or a friend or family member.
This is one of the best books I've read on this subject. I like how the author goes into great detail about the various forms of magnesium, and their strengths and weaknesses.
Great advice on health, sleep, and pain management
Great advice on using magnesium to help with health, sleep, pain management and healing muscles after sport. Thank you so much to the author for this advice!
Good overall information on magnesium, both very basic, without much in-depth discussion. The references are good though, found at the end of the book.
Very informative. You will find some interesting information about magnesium. This is information you won’t find online. This is a very easy read and doesn’t feel like your reading an informercial.
This was just absolutely fascinating - not only easy reading but full of mind boggling information which made so much sense to me. I will never be without my magnesium supplements after reading this!
I think this book opens your eyes as to how unhealthy we are, just magnesium missing caused lots of medical problems. It surprised me why people are so unhealthy, slow, ragey, tired etc. Good book to read, you will not put it down.
I found this book very interesting, I already take vitamin D3 and K2 but I do get painful cramps in my legs at night and normally have to get up to sooth them. So I'm hoping magnesium will help. Thank you for writing this book.
