Thirt3en Degrees is a small collection of gore-filled, profanity-laced, fun-to-read horror for all fans of the genre. Some of these short stories are really short (2 pages), but the vast majority of them don't need a lot of pages to hit you with a twist ending that will throw you for a loop. The book is short, but a enjoyable read nonetheless.
This was not worth the money. Most of these stories were predictable. Maybe I'm jaded because I'm an avid reader but this just wasn't that good of a collection.
Worst horror stories ever written. Very predictable, often go on much longer than necessary, and very uninspired. Too many focus on something "too terrifying to describe" and end with some claw grabbing someone. How can you have a book about 13 scary stories when 7 of th are the same story with a different character? Just poor writing.
So as you can see they are all creepy, one made me laugh like a good horror story should, and one almost made me cry. Overall the author was able to envoke every emotion that I had other than maybe anger and joy, but you know, not everyone can be perfect :P.
Well done Mr Dean, your stories are some of the best scary stuff I've read so far. I am a big fan of yours and hope to find more of your work. This was my second book of short stories and for you readers this Author can creep you out!!!! kozetteksmith
4 stars this was a really good selection of horror stories i especially liked when the stories were told from a childs point of view. a child can imagine more gruesome monsters than any movie ever will.
I wouldn't really say it was "scary" as the endings were predictable. I had the feeling that many of them had the same storyline but with different characters.
Very boring not a single frightening tale to be found. Very amateurish story telling. I wouldn't purchase another book by this author even at 99 cents!
