[MMF with MM and MF, erotic BDSM contemporary romance]
(Suncoast Society series #23)
Nick knows his deepest secret—he’s a bisexual masochistic submissive—won’t mesh with his macho, action-hero Trevor Nichols persona. He flees Hollywood in disguise for a secret vacation in his hometown of Sarasota…and a trip to a BDSM club. Nick didn’t expect to fall in love with Lucas and Leigh, but he’s never been happier. This is who he wants to be, and Lucas and Leigh are who he wants.
Lucas and Leigh have been best friends since college. Both had their share of heartbreak. Lucas is gay, but he’s Leigh’s Master and lover, and they’ve decided to get married and have a baby. Meeting Nick at a munch throws a hiccup into their plans, because they’re both attracted to the hottie who looks vaguely familiar.
Now the paparazzi are on Nick’s trail and threatening to turn Lucas and Leigh’s world upside down. Can he still have it all, or will he be forced to say good-bye to protect them?

I loved reading this book and I have been wanting to read it for awhile, but I read a few books before this one in the series. Action hero Trevor Nichols flees Hollywood in disguise for a secret vacation in his hometown of Sarasota for some much needed rest and to find Nicholas Trevorsky again. Nick knows that he is bi and kinky, but he has to hide to get away from the paparazzi. Leigh and Lucas have been friends for a long time Lucas is gay he is also a Dom and Leigh is his slave they decide to get married she wants to have a baby and they love each other. The Suncoast Society has a munch and Nick is invited after he makes contact on FetLife. When Lucas meets Nick he is instantly attracted to Nick he knows that he looks familiar, but he doesn't question it he likes what he sees and so does Leigh. The two agree to play with Nick. This was a really good book each of the character's have a job that they want to protect and Nick tries to protect Lucas and Leigh from the paparazzi and although he doesn't tell them who he really is each one of them didn't realize that they would fall in love. Leigh and Lucas are heartbroken when they find out who Nick really is and how they found out. This book was well written like the rest of the books in this series and I love how Tymber writes about BDSM and the group of friends in the Suncoast Society help their friends when they are in need of help. All of the couples or ploys are like my favorites. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
Being famous isn't all that it is cracked up to be. So many people believe it's their bloody right to know every personal detail about celebrities. When did this happen? This is an invasive and abhorrent practice.
Nick, aka action-hero Trevor Nichols, is constantly under media scrutiny. His rise to fame came to him as a surprise. Whilst he enjoys the money which comes with the fame, the sacrifice of his privacy is rough. Especially since Nick is portrayed as an alpha man saving the day when what he really wants is to be a submissive man taking order in the bedroom.
Ms. Dalton once again highlights the issues with being in the lifestyle. In this story, three people are all negatively impacted when associated with the BDSM lifestyle. It infuriates and pains me because I'm in the same position. I can relate to Lucas and Leigh who work for conservative companies. This morality clause most companies have either formally or informally always penalizes those who are outliers. Those who don't follow social norms, keep their private lives private and still companies feel it is fine to dictate a person's personal life choices. Perhaps one day, the States will not be so hung up on sexual orientation, practices and desires. Unfortunately, for now, Lucas and Leigh feel the sharp thrust of public disapproval when they are outed as possible kinky people.
The realism in how Lucas and Leigh lose their jobs and are shunned is terrifying for those in similar situations. The need for secrecy is captured so well. What is also captured so well is the BDSM in this story. It is to be expected as Ms. Dalton is in the lifestyle. This ménage combination is complicated. Nick is bisexual and willing to submit to Lucas. Lucas is gay yet he enjoys sexual intimacy with Leigh. Leigh loves Lucas and knows she is not his One. When it comes to rules in relationships, a reader can count on Ms. Dalton to break all of them. This is a reoccurring theme with this series. Lovers don't strictly adhere to the commonly accepted rules for BDSM or sexual composition. I like this about Ms. Dalton. I like it because it shows that the world is not black and white. Instead, people can do what makes it right for them. I like how she showcases this because the underlying message is - if it works for you, it's all good. And when it comes down to it, isn't this how it should be? Nick, Leigh and Lucas are not harming anyone. They are enjoying what comes naturally to them.
The dynamic between Nick, Leigh and Lucas is arousing. The sex between them when they finally get it going is hawt. The flogging and submission of Nick is erotic and not to be missed. The sexual chemistry between the threesome is smooth and sweet. The vivid descriptions allow a reader to be a quiet voyeur, reveling in the sexual heat generated by this triad. It's nice to see that it is a mmf instead of a mfm. This allows for a stronger bond and when it breaks for a bit, the pain of it is more poignant. Ms. Dalton writes some of the easiest BDSM scenes to visualize and vicariously experience.
The Suncoast Society comes together again as a community to help Leigh and Lucas. This is yet another part to the series which makes me happy. I love how friends come to the aid of one another. This kind of bond is hard to come by and every time I read about it, it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. This is why I'm addicted to the series and will read every single story. Recommended to kinky readers who enjoy ménages and complicated relationships.
This book sounded interesting and fun. It WASN'T. 1) Our MCs are Nick (bi sub actor), Leigh (straight sub paralegal) and Lucas (gay dom school teacher, in love with his female bestie, whom he asks to marry him). Does anything here sound strange to you? Cause, I'm okay with loving your friend in a platonic way, or even marrying your best friend if you want a family and not to worry about romance or even marrying you BFF if you're in love with them. But being a gay Dom, in love with his straight, sub, best girl friend and SEXUALLY attracted to her, while you play with other women and men doesn't make you gay. It makes you either bisexual or pan-sexual, attracted to the person, not the gender. 2) Lucas and Leigh scene with Nick for the first time and Lucas's reaction to seeing Nick's dong is "Wow, you have a big cock, BUDDY". ......Buddy? Could have said 'dude' and it would have been the same boner-killer. 3) The whole first scene between the three of them in the hotel...if it was written better, it could have been hot. The way it was written in the book though...I've seen porn with more spontaneity and naturalness. This shit read as scripted and timed. Not sexy at all. 4) I really didn't feel any attraction between the MCs. Like, NA-DA. 5) The privacy of the whole club, all the members and Lucas and Leigh's relationship is made super-important at the beginning of the story, but when some paps photo Leigh and Lucas with Nick and the story blows up, L&L blame NICK for not telling them who he was and causing this and making them lose their jobs. NICK. The MEGA-ACTOR. Who was trying to hide and respected THEIR privacy. How exactly is he responsible for the crazy paps, when he did his best to stay incognito? What about HIS privacy being violated? What about HIS career? The only thing Nick should have done was tell them the truth when he was made to leave the town because of a random photo, so that they knew he didn't just up and left. 6) Nick follows L&L's struggles and in record time makes a HUGE DECISION for his future in order to include them, gets them NEW, WELL-PAID jobs AND BUYS THEM A NEW FREAKING HOUSE. And yet when they both are informed about it by their lawyer and then they see Nick in person, they are mad at him. Lucas accuses Nick of "costing them their jobs"!! As if Nick did that on purpose. And then he treats Nick like the poor boy had to BUY Lucas and Leigh's forgiveness with his money and offers, while being in the doghouse. And then proceeds of course to tell Nick that he will pay for the property tattoo that LUCAS wants to put on him as his Dominant!! Which should have been for Lucas to pay, RE-GA-RD-LESS of how much MONEY Nick makes.!.!.! And we generally see a change in how Lucas treats him and how spineless Leigh is and damn, I pity Nick as a person, even if he's a fictional character. No. Just NO.. In short, there was no chemistry among them, two of the thruple behaved badly towards their third whom they claimed to love, the story was rushed and my recommendation is a BIG NO-NO.
Being famous isn't all that it is cracked up to be. So many people believe it's their bloody right to know every personal detail about celebrities. When did this happen? This is an invasive and abhorrent practice. Why can’t the famous have a normal life just like you and me, you know without people having cameras attached to their hands following you around and stalking you. I loved this story! It was heartfelt in the telling of the range of emotions and the difference of the persona of a man who is an actor.
Holy moly!!!!!! Hot Hot Hot! I few tears a little heartbreak but a super love story. The characters in this series are like instant friends and family.
I love the little areas that we get to hear from Ed. I wonder tho if it was a kid from the complex that confronted him or an actual reporter. With the still photos it makes ya wonder. Love the fact that there was little drama in this one, but it had my attention from the beginning like most of Tymber's books do. Little disappointed that the ceremony took place and nothing from Gilo ;(
I really liked the characters in this story. Even though Nick brought serious life changing problems to Lucas and Leigh, what happened in the end was all worth it.
Jo! Tu es bi mec bi!!!!!!
I loved this story! It was heartfelt in the telling of the range of emotions and the difference of the persona of a man who is an actor. Ms. Dalton has a way of drawing you into the Suncoast Society world and you feel that you actually know these people personally. The unfolding of the storyline had me laughing and crying and cursing in places. The characters have evolved over the series and it is fun to watch the interaction and the intricacies of each relationship, especially the one among Nick, Lucas and Leigh. I can't wait for the next book in the series!
This story features Lucas, Leigh, and Nick. Lucas and Leigh have been in a relationship for a while but when Nick comes to time play starts to turn serious but just as they are connecting their world is blown apart but truth unspoken. But from the ashes a new and better path is forged for these three. It will take some creativity and a bit of distance from old friends but they are on the path for building their own special relationship
The story felt like a one night stand to me even though it was supposed to be over a month's time. It was too short in my opinion. I like a longer story that brings me into the world of the characters. I couldn’t connect with the characters. I didn’t care for the sex scenes. They were too choreographed and in a rush. I get that the characters felt that they only had so much time to "play" around, but this story just didn’t do it for me.
Another excellent entrant in this series. I admit when I was younger I devoured gossip rags. I didn't see the harm in them because, I thought, the people in them wanted all their stories told. I realized I was wrong as I gained maturity. This book shows just how easily those magazines and tv shows can destroy lives over a rumor.
The next book is the babyshower. A kinky baby shower I can't wait.😀😀😀😀
This is another well written and sexy polyamorous story in the Suncoast ‘verse. Reading this close to the anniversary of Princess Diana’s death made me more aware of the horrors and abuse of the papparazzi. The ghouls hounding Diana are literally murderers, and it’s pretty gross to listen to them bemaon the fact that there’s one less celebrity to harass. ugh. Is there still a risk of someone losing their job/life because of their alternative lifestyle? I thought we were past that
