Tell the truth...love the angel? For countless years, Amity used her angelic abilities to help her assignments. She guides them to the truth to improve their lives. Once, she'd been tender and caring, but humanity's misuse of free will and her own missteps have left her jaded.
Now, all Amity allows is the truth. Get in, get out, and never let them know that she's there. That's the motto she's lived by for years. She considers her latest assignment nothing more than the next in a long line of jilted lovers that she's had to help. When her presence exposes more than either of them was ready for, will they be able to find the truths hidden deep within the other? Or will the fallout leave them both in tatters?
Purveyor of words. Creator of worlds. Destroyer of feels.
Once upon a time, Michelle worked in a dreary office with only the voices in her head for company. Now, the voices in her head are characters on the page who will break your heart, lift your spirit, and make you feel like you have found new friends.
In this second book of the series, Dr. Andrew Petersen, a cardiologist surgeon, also known as Drew by his family and friends, has just been told by the the woman of this dreams, named Rebecca, that she is leaving him for for another man. He's crushed, heart broken, and feels broken inside, so he does what every man would do in this situation, he goes to the gym, and uses the punching bag, imagining that the bag is the man that stole his life away. He feels he could never find true love, happiness, and his happily ever after, and decides to throw himself into his work. Even that doesn't work out too well, because Rebecca is a medical receptionist, and works the same shift he does, in the same hospital. Amity is an angel sent to earth to find out the truth in any assignment she is given. She loves to dress in the latest fashionable styles, and latest sports cars. Why not? All she has to do is conjure them up, not buy them! This book is like none other I have ever read, that transforms an angel as a woman that can feel human emotions, including love. With the summer soon upon us, you may want to pick up this book, and take it to beach to read while tanning, or on vacation, to read on the plane. It can be read as a stand alone, but you may also enjoy the first book "Happily Evan After." Believe me you won't be disappointed. Happy reading!
I went into All Amity Allows not knowing what to expect. People on my blog were signing up for it, and I just decided to go with the flow. I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised by this incredible story of love lost and love found. It was warm, heartfelt, and at times funny. It is the first book that has brought me to tears in quite a while. I found myself really loving the main characters and wishing the book would keep going. I guess this is a sequel, but the author did a good job of making it able to be read by itself. I never read the first one, but didn't feel lost or confused at all. I can only imagine the story would have been even richer with the backstory, though.
As for the characters themselves, Amity and Drew just have a way of getting under your skin. Even now, two days after finishing the book, I'm still thinking about them. They are wonderfully flawed and develop well throughout the story. The editing was pretty good, as well. All in all, I enjoyed the story quite a bit and can not think of a single real complaint.
For countless millennia, she's helped her assignments find truth in their experiences and improve their lives. Once, she'd been tender and caring, but humanity's misuse of free will and her own missteps have left her jaded.
Now, all Amity allows is the truth. Get in, get out, and never let them know that she’s there. That’s the motto she's lived by for years. She considers her latest assignment nothing more than the next in a long line of jilted lovers that she’s had to help. When her presence exposes more than either of them was ready for, will they be able to find the truths hidden deep within the other? Or will the fallout leave them both in tatters?
The truth will set them free.
As one of the Author's pre-readers I found this to be a delightful story about love, loss, expectations with enough naughty bits in to keep the Romantics in this world happy but with a great story that intrigues and keeps you interested with a few twists along the way. A enough paranormal not to be boy meets girl story but is set in the real world.
Recommend to anyone over the age of 15, probably orientated to the female genre as it is a RomCom but wouldn't rule out Men enjoying the story (maybe disguised with another cover LOL) if they enjoy this genre.
Book: All Amity Allows (Fall for You #2) Author: Michelle Irwin Publication Date: 5/13/2015 Reviewed by: Tammy Payne- Book Nook Nuts My Rating: 5 Stars
REVIEW Drew is doing everything he can to get Becca back. He misses her and even though he knows she has feelings for Evan he wants her back and is willing to fight for her.
And its Amity to the rescue since someone screwed up but who? One of her brothers? Why is she being given this job?
If you read book 1 by this author then you know Evan was cupid and he was under Michael the angels watch. Well things went all kinds of wrong when Evan fell in love with his charge. That charge was none other than Becca.
Once Amity decides she is willing to take on this assignment things do not go as she plans. She fights her heart and the feelings she feels for Drew.
What will happen between Amity and Drew? How can anything develop when she must return to heaven?
Very well written, loved this 2nd book in the series. The characters are strong, and love is endless. I would recommend this book and hope you start with book 1 in the series it won't disappoint.
I was gifted a copy of this book for my honest review. Michelle Irwin
*** Reviewed as part of the Release Tour, and this is my honest review*
I have not read Book 1 but I didn't have any problems jumping into Amity's story.
From the cover you will gather that this is a mix of Romantic Comedy with a paranormal twist.
Amity is the angel of truth, and humanity has lost its way when it comes to truthfulness, lets face it! So she has been incognito and trying to stay off her Angelic brothers radars, since an assignment went dreadfully wrong.
But her brother is not taking no for an answer so she sets off to help Drew get over his heartache. (sorry thats all you get about what is going on as I don't do book reports/spoilers)
This is a nice story, there's a touch of humour about it throughout, but we also see the pain that is caused by unrequited love. The Author has written the 2nd book of this series in a way that you can still enjoy it without reading book 1, as I did but will leave you wanting to read the first to see how this mess happened in the first place.
I think that the way the book is based in the real world but with that hint of the hidden paranormal that the majority of the human world are unaware of gives the book the scope to be enjoyed by most readers 16+ (this book does have sex scenes) and I think that once they do read it, they will want to check out Ms Irwin's other series out.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I was really excited when the chance to review All Amity Allows came up. I've seen it advertised for the past month or so and thought it looked like a good read.
It's very well written, I have no complaints about that. I enjoyed the story and read it in (mostly) one sitting. But I just felt like something was missing. It was a little predictable in spots and there were instances where I wished there was more description and less in other instances.
I feel I may have understood some of those missing details if I had read Happily Evan After first, even though I assume All Amity Allows is supposed to be able to stand on it's own.
There was one instance where Evan states he's never heard of a female Angel. I feel like that should have been elaborated on later or not mentioned, because the statement makes no sense, considering what you learn in the book.
Aside from that small issue, which may not even bother others, I definitely recommend All Amity Allows if you enjoy a sweet romance (with hiccups along the way).
I was excited when I found out Michelle was writing a second book to the "Fall For You" series, that it didn't stop with Evan & Becca's story. Although to be honest at the end of 'Happily Evan After' I didn't even think of the pain Drew would be going through... but I'm getting ahead of myself here...
Please read 'Happily Evan After' before reading 'All Amity Allows' as you will get a deeper understanding of the reasons behind Amity being around Drew. Although you can read this book without first reading book 1, Michelle has definitely given you plenty of back ground info, I still recommend reading the series fully & not skipping books.
Like I said before, I didn't give much thought to how devastated/ heart broken Drew was going to be at the end of 'Happily Evan After'... especially after being hit with a cupids arrow. Heart broken doesn't even begin to cover it, so what does heaven or more to the point Michael do?? Send in Amitiel/ Amity... who has been in hiatis for 50 years, coincidence here???
I loved the entire story for Amity & Drew, it showed the personal growth they both went through, both learning to love & make sacrifices, to have fun, to forgive... I can't wait to see what else Michelle can come up with... BRING IT ON!
I received a free ARC copy of this from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review..
This was nice, a cool story... I did not have to work at this at all, it flowed and read very easily.. I cannot say it had me totally enthralled, but it did keep my attention.. I found that even though it was probably a bit too nice for me, I still wanted to know what was going to happen with/to Amity and Drew.. It was a change of pace for me, but I still enjoyed it and read it all the way through.. I think if you are after a book that you do not have to work at, then give All Amity Allows a read.. I would have paid for this...
This is the second book in the Fall For You series and follows Andrew ‘Drew’ Petersen (Remember him from Happily Evan After?) and the angel of truth, Amitiel or Amity as she likes to be called.
After losing the woman he has fantasised over since he was a teenager to another man, Drew is heartbroken and falling apart. He is completely unable to see past his grief and seeing Becca at work every day is tearing him apart.
Amity has never been able to forgive herself for an assignment that went drastically wrong. She has become withdrawn and put herself on vacation for the last 50 years, shielding herself from feeling any kind of human emotion. When she receiv3es a visit from her brother Michael requesting her help on an assignment that needs her special talent, Amity is too intrigued to say no. Little does she know that this assignment is going to throw her right back into dealing with what happened on that fateful day.
Amity’s new assignment is to help Drew come to terms with losing Becca and assist him with moving on. But what happens when the forbidden happens and an angel and a human fall for each other…?
I really enjoyed this book which surprised me somewhat as I thought Drew was a complete prick in Happily Evan After (apart from that one scene with the bedroom acrobatics… that was majorly hot! – if you know, you know) but Michelle being the amazing writer that she is, made me forget about the Drew from Happily Evan After and showed me a Drew that was absolutely scrumptious and I found myself really feeling for him.
From the very first chapter I had a girl crush on Amity… I mean, this girl realllllly knows her fashion and is a complete label whore (call me shallow but designer shoes make me happy).
I absolutely loved this book. It had funny, sad and heart-warming moments and really made me smile whilst reading it.
Amity, Amitiel as her father named her, is the angel of truth. Valued for her abilities to maintain the truth throughout humanity, aiding her brother Michael on his duties of judgment. She spent every day since creation following the law of God, of Heaven. That is until she made a major mistake while trying to rush through her job, turning from nice and gentle hands on approach to wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am. The force of information on the husband of the human she was trying to help caused him to commit a mortal sin, which in turn caused her human's true love to take his own life. After that Amity went on a half-century vacation.
The day came though that she was called in to aide in a mishap that happened between a cupid and his intended target. The Cupid thought he was supposed to be helping his human to find her true love, not understanding that he was her true love. After reconnecting her with a childhood friend, who had loved her for many years, the Cupid realized the error of his ways and his human realized how much she loved her Cupid. When the Cupid was given the opportunity to become human again and take on the life that was stolen from him many centuries before he jumped at it. This left the initial target of his arrow, Drew, to pine for the love he lost and left Amity to get involved.
Amity was sent to help Drew to heal his wounds and find a way to get over his broken heart. Drew had lived a rather difficult childhood and a very focused adulthood, never really learning how to have fun or even what it truly meant to have fun. Amity shows him what it is like to just do something crazy on the spur of the moment just because you can. But will that be enough to get Drew through his heartbreak and allow him to move on?

3.5~4 stars I read this book without having read book one and while there were times I felt like I was missing something, it was not a big deal and you could easily get enough background for this to be enjoyable. We start off by meeting Amity, an angel of truth who is on a sabbatical of sorts away from her angelic duties. She is being recruited back into the field to help Drew.
Drew was incidentally struck by cupid's arrow and is the victim of unrequited love. His behavior is stalker-ish and borderline scary towards his ex-girlfriend. He was in love with Becca and is having a real hard time moving forward from this. Because of the arrow misfire he needs some serious help to get over his heartbreak. The only person (well angel) for the job is Amity.
These two go on a journey together of healing and rebuilding. There are many things that keep them in the "friend zone" but their relationship develops more into something more. Amity is supposed to be showing Drew the truth and that he can live without Becca, but at the same time Drew is showing her the truth of human emotions.
This was a well written book, much more romance than paranormal. Amity originally came of as self-centered and snotty. Drew came across as a felony waiting to happen. They do grow from their original characters though and became more enjoyable as the book progressed. There were times that things moved a little slow for me and I was not a fan of either of the main characters for a while. In the end, their journey was worth it and a sweet one. This is definitely a beach read as for the most part the story was light but also flowed easily.

My Review This is the second book in the series and frankly...my personal Favourite! Amity is sent down to help heal Drew's broken heart after he tries everything possible to win back Becca but (as we all know...because you cannot possibly have missed reading Evan?!?) she's head over heels in love with Evan. Amity begins to develop feelings for Drew and some seriously hilarious chaos ensues! Michelle is the queen of creating spunky and confident female leads that make you scream 'Girl Power' at the top of your lungs but when you think cupid...you don't necessarily think spunky...so i was a tad concerned that she might sugar coat Amity and lose some of her usual spice....how wrong could i be!! Amity is the textbook definition of Sass! i adored the character and actually related with her on a lot of levels! The writing was, as usual with Ms Irwin, utterly flawless! This woman plays with prose the way Dior creates Couture! The characters were warm, funny and found themselves in amusing situational humour. I adored Drew and have added him to my 'MINE' list. I, for one, cannot wait for the next book (if we all bug her enough i'm sure she'll oblige...) 5 Stars (This is becoming more than a habit Michelle)
I loved the Happily Evan After, the first book in this series, and bought this one on preorder the moment I saw it was available, even though I worried I couldn't love the snarky Amity as much as I had sweet Evan the cupid. After all, the angel of truth was hardly the harbinger of love and joy. The truth hurts, as Amity well knows.
From the holier-than-thou angels, Amity isn't typical of her kind - but she's very much the problem-solver, dealing with what her angelic brothers have messed up in the past. And also, her own mistakes, as it turns out.
So hard not to give spoilers, but I shall resist - let me just say you MUST read Happily Evan After first to truly enjoy this book, because Amity's story flows right on from the events in Evan's book...into territory I for one never expected.
Sweet and funny, touching and yet fast-paced, I read this on release day because I couldn't resist.
*I received a copy in exchange for an honest review*
I have not read book one of the series, but didnt have any issues jumping straight into All Amity Allows.
Angel of truth....ppfff Angel of messing up more like!!
Jaded angels and cupids and passing judgment....thats essentially what I loved about this story....and hated bahahahahaha. Not in a bad way, just some of the characters need a serious intervention of their own!!
Think Constaintine with Keanu Reeve's....then add Shea from Clueless and you have the making of a pretty awesome story with alotta quirk mishaps and heartache. This is what happens when angels become hmmm jaded comes to mind!
The only downside for me was there was just too much inner dialogue for me. It was well written though and I stuck it out not skipping any of it. Other than that I would have given the read another shiny star.
Definitely alittle sweet kind of read that flows well and one you don't work hard to understand.
I received this book in exchange for an honest opinion.
Uhm, I don’t really have a lot to say to be honest, so I'm not gonna beat around the bush with my review, am just gonna keep it short & sweet.
This book is a lovely, sweet fun read. I haven't read the first one in the series, which didn't really matter, however I feel it would be a good idea to do so to get the full effect of the story. I have Happily Evan After in my library so I will definitely go back and read that one and then reread All Amity Allows. The writing is stellar as I would expect from a book by Michelle Irwin - however the only thing stopping me from giving this the full 5 stars, is that there is a lot of inner dialogue which I personally do not like, so I did find myself in parts skipping ahead to conversation sections. Congrats Michelle x
I received an ARC for an honest review. Another hit! While this novel is linked to Happily Evan After(HEA), it can be read as a stand alone. In it, we pick up where HEA left off... Dr. Drew, broken and lost-almost past the brink of control...could the past repeat itself (like with Rose & Evan)? We meet a new angel, Amity- just as broken as Drew. only-she's not as willing to admit it to herself or her angelic brothers. She spends her 'vacation' time from her duties living the materialistic human lifestyle until Michael tasks her with an assignment...Drew. Through all of their pain & heartache, they find each other, and fall in love. Will it be enough? Will her brothers allow this forbidden love to exist? To find out-read the book!! You won't regret it.

I fell in love with this series after reading Happily Evan After and if you have read Evan your gonna love Amity!
She is sent from heaven by her brother Micheal to help mend Drew's broken heart after his break up with Becca, only Amity is a lazy angel and so she tries to take the easy path and causes a open wound to appear in Drew's soul, realizing what she has done she has to then use an hands on approach to undo all the harm she has caused.
I really felt the deeply wounded emotions of this story and wanted to scream at some of the characters at times which to me is some great writing! Another wonderful story from Michelle and well deserves my 5 stars.

This book was a great read. Made it hard to put down. The characters were well thought out and the description of them was very detailed and made it easier for me to get into the book. The story from beginning to end was truly enjoyable. A story you could read more than once.
It is a perfect bubble bath, sitting on a porch swing read for sure.
This book started a little bit slow and with a lot of narrative for my taste, but I do get it was needed for us to get what happens to the main characters in the rest of the book.
As outrageous as it sound a relationship between Amitiel, the angel of truth and Andrew, a very heartbroken doctor is a very funny, exasperating and, yes, amazing story of love and sacrifice.
Yes, I recommend you buy this very different but great book by Michelle Irwin.
Amity was a great read. I love how it was tied in to Evan. And the ending was fantastic. Amity has powers that we all wish we had. Any designer outfit in the snap of your hands!!!

ALL AMITY ALLOWS starts off with the powers that be trying to fix the mistake made against Drew in HAPPILY EVAN AFTER. Drew was “touched” by Cupid Evan to fall in love with Becca, but her feelings slowly and naturally transferred to Evan instead, leaving Drew heartbroken and desperately yearning for Becca, his “true love”. Enter Amity, sent to help Drew move on and heal his heart enough to find love again. But one touch sends Amity fleeing when the players involved are revealed to her. She must put aside her past issues in order to get the job done and to prevent past mistakes from happening again.
It took me a few pages to realise this was about Drew from book 1, so I’d definitely recommend reading HAPPILY EVAN AFTER before reading this one. From memory, despite being a god in bed, I didn’t like Drew as he was quite rude and seemed intent on changing Becca to suit his pompous needs better. I felt sorry for him this time around though, especially when you find out that his feelings for Becca started years before the Cupid was ever involved and he really thought they had a solid future together. Through Amity, he realises that his desire to be better, to always be reaching for the next achievement is what pushed Becca away.
I thought this book was well written and I love the cover which I think looks fun and flirty. However, thinking back, I don’t remember the story being fun and flirty. The book spends a good portion on Drew’s feelings towards Becca, which ventured between sadness, anger and denial. Throughout the book I felt like I couldn’t grasp what was going on, like I was missing something. I put this down to a lack of concentration. I should point out that it took me a few days to read as I was feeling unwell and couldn’t seem to focus on what I was reading. Because I’ve read and enjoyed all of Michelle’s previous books, I’m thinking this is the reason I couldn’t really get into this book. That being said, I was hoping for more depth in relation to a few things, like the past events that sent Amity into hiding, like why Drew is the way he is, but in the end they felt very rushed and glossed over. I did like that we got to see a few glimpses as to how Becca and Evan were going, which was nice. And it comes with a HEA, so YAAY!!!
