Empty Alibi
May, 1924. Glitz, glamour, and the best and brightest society New York City has to offer. It is not an unusual night – saxophones croon and alcohol flows freely all through the city. It’s a good life. Until it’s over.
A long forgotten house on a dark street in Manhattan’s outer edges. The neighbors don’t remember anything strange. The house leaves no clues, save the stench of death and the wind’s whispering that something is wrong. There are three seemingly unconnected murders and a killer who doesn’t appear to have a reason to kill. There is a house, a photograph, and a secret that died with the victims.
And then, there’s Bethany. Sixteen, nearly seventeen, she the last one to see two of the three victims alive, Bethany looks to be Detectives Chapman and Shane’s last hope. Swept up in a mystery she is all too familiar with and prying her way into the past, Bethany becomes firmly entrenched in the case.
The clock is ticking and the past is wary to give out her secrets. And somewhere in the city, a killer with no apparent motive lurks.

Words cannot describe my loveeeee for this ok?????????
NOAH CHAPMAN??? ELLIOT HENRY???? Emma has stolen my heart with this book. I think about it like pretty much daily. The characters are real the conversations spot on and the MURDER. And the ending will leave you very much grumpy-cat face but still squeaking with delight
Emma has this waYY with worDs and she SAYS things and you just sit there and grin ok. And her settings and her SUSPENSE and she thinks things and writes things and I will forever read them.

So like I can't really put into words how much I enjoyed this BEAUTIFUL book. Characters, Bethany (who is pretty much me), JULES, ELLIOT!!!! (How dare you hurt my baby), CHAPMAN :D awesomesauce! The 20's, sarcasm (my first language), and other lovely stuff. THIS BOOK IS PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING!!! I laughed. I felt sad. I fangirled. I almost screamed at some parts (it's frowned upon in most places). So...yeah. I'm in love with this book and EMMA needs to write another. ANOTHER! *slams mug on table*
