A break in the Haunt incursions worries the Demon Inc crew. Since invading the Haunt dimension, no sign of the dreaded monsters shows up on their early warning system. Demon also discovers Mike’s been hiding new powers from a Haunt wound suffered during their invasion of the Haunt dimension.
Mike gained strength, and mind control to the point he can make others hear Demon. Hilarity ensues as the sarcastic Demon teams with his paranormal pal, converted Haunt Mongo George, to turn the Demon Inc headquarters and crew inside out.
Danger returns as the teens uncover a Haunt plot with changed tactics. Their dimension, imploding due to Demon Inc’s last assault, forces the monsters into drawing evil spirits on earth into their human dimension takeover.
Demon munches Bad Caspers as the crew calls the evil spirits just as easily as he does Haunts. Teamed with an amped up Mike Rawlins and the Demon Inc teens, the Haunts find out what hell on earth really means.

Wow. I cannot believe the level of bigotry disguised as paranormal haunt battles. The read was silly and the dialog painful. I have read the demon series in the past but this one is just too much. There is no thought or interest put into this book. Very disappointing. Mr. DeLeo and I will be parting ways. Reading this was painful.
There is no other writer like DeLeo. I'm still worried about Mike but not as long as he has Demon and George on his side. It was humorous, intriguing, somewhat confusing, and somewhat sad. It was an all around good book. I don't want to read the last one but I know I won't be happy until I do.
Addictive. Spellbinding. I was hooked after starting book 1. Great series. Truly enjoyable. This author is my favorite. I am reading all his books. I LOVE READING. Thank you for writing all of the books!!! Off to the next book I go.
These Demon books just get better and better!! I feel like I know each of these characters. They become friends and all you can do is hope. I’m going to get into Demon 5 next!!!! GMR
ILL admit im not into paranormal stuff at all--ive read alot of books from this author and the way he writes and tell a story is fantastic--i read the 1st book of this series and after that i havent stopped reading them--theres 9 books in the series and im already reading book 6.highly recommend you read not only this series but Bernard Deleos other series and stand alone books.
Like they said in the old days... A rip roaring adventure. Loads of fun, lots of laughs, what will happen now that there are supposedly no more haunts to fight?
"Darkness Rules" is a continuation of the adventures of the Demon Inc crew. As a result of being wounded by the Haunts, Mike Rawlins has developed new skills and powers.
The Haunts have found new ways of slipping through the interdimensional rift without detection. And a drug lord is determined to kill Mike and Demon.
For clarity, this series should be read in order. The stories are very entertaining, particularly the banter between Demon and George.
Thank you Bernard DeLeo for the entertaining series!
After reading the first three bin the Demon series I just HAD to get this one! As I said in my review of the first three (it was a boxed set), if you like SuperNatural you should love this! Mike Rawlins and his dog Demon as well as all of the characters are fun and there is a lot of adventures as they go hunting for haunts!! I just wish there were more books in the series!
Another great novel in the Demon collection. Well developed characters, tons of action and so much humor it is unreal. Great read, but just so you know, if you read the first three books you will like it a lot more.
