The Baumgartners are at it again! Selena Kitt, you wonderfully wicked and brilliant woman! I loved this read. I've followed the journey of Doc and Carrie from their steamy start in college and wasn't disappointed at their latest journey. With the last duckling officially moving on with their life, Doc and Carrie are facing a midlife crisis of sorts.
Everything is changing and yet is still the same...kind of. The past has come calling for Carrie via social media and has shaken up her whole life. Doc on the other hand is ready to enjoy the fruits of their labors so to speak. He's worked hard and wants nothing more than to enjoy his life and his wife. Even after all these years these two are hot for each other. I'd say get a room, but with them...it's not necessary.
Selena allows Doc to shine in this read. He is hot, sexy and loving. He made me swoon and pant all at the same time. Who the hell doesn't want a Doc of their own. That being said...I never saw the twist in this story coming. I shouldn't be surprised, Selena loves to make you stop and say "WTF". I will admit to rereading a couple of passages in order to understand what I'd read.
No spoilers here though! I loved this addition to the Baumgartner legacy. It was familiar and yet fresh. The perfect summer read to make you hot and horny. Go ahead and one-click it!

I have not previously read any of Selena Kitt's Baumgartner series, and found Empty Nest to be interesting. I loved that Carrie and Doc Baumgartner are older with grown children. It is refreshing to read a sexy story about people who are no longer in their 20's or 30's. The idea of rekindling the intimacy and adventurousness of your marriage is a great premise for an erotic story.
Carrie's and Doc's explorations involve a friend of Carrie's--Jody. Jody is a wild one who is not only an old friend of Carrie but also a love interest who doesn't mind sharing Doc with Carrie. Their sexcapades take up much of the book.

If you have never read any of Selena Kitt’s books then you are truly missing out. She is an amazing author who writes hot and steamy stories that will leave you very hot and bothered and needing a very cold shower. This book is no exception.
I think this book really brought out the character of “Doc” (Steven Baumgartner). He is such an amazing guy and this book showed how amazing he truly is. Though his wife Carrie lied and deceived him, he took it well. He knew she was just nervous and trying to figure out a way to tell him about the secret that she is keeping. Doc shows courage, wisdom and strength in this book. A true white knight, so the speak.
Carrie is feeling a little sad. Though her daughter is married the thought of her son (the baby) getting married just does something to Carrie. Carrie is having a hard time excepting the fact of losing her baby. Doc her wonderful husband plans to show her what they can do now that the kids are going to be married off. He wants to make his wife smile and show her this change is a good thing and not a bad thing.
Carrie had been without a woman for a while. Her and Doc had always had someone to share in their marriage. That is just the kind of people they were. When Carrie had met Jody online, she started having some pretty strong feelings for Jody. Carrie felt uneasy to share everything about Jody with Doc.
This story will take you on one of the Baumgartner’s adventures. If you have read any of this series then you know how fun their adventures can be.

Carrie and Doc are going through what all parents do when the youngsters have grown up, tried their wings and left the nest. Carrie is having trouble accepting that the nest is empty. Other changes are on hand as Doc's partner wants to retire and leave the partnership and even get rid of the time share in Key West. But good fortune smiles on some investments that their accountant has made for them and Carrie may have found someone to help fill that empty nest. Will they be able to overcome some obstacles in their way and will they be willing to accept the changes that must occur in their lives. An excellent continuation of the Baumgartner saga. Well written and the new characters fit in perfectly.

WOW. Just wow. Carrie and Doc are alone for the first time in a long while. Kids are grown and so they take a fun ride to Key West, but pick up Jody (an old friend of Carrie's) while she's looking to escape.
After Carrie & Jody reconnect after years of being apart, inviting her into her marriage comes with complications, complications that Carrie isn't sure how to bring up to Doc. But Doc, who sees through Carrie - invites Jody in with open arms - turning this taboo read into an experience that I didn't see coming.
Another hot installment of this series. Seriously. This is erotica at it's best. I can't get enough.

Typically I have enjoyed the books in this series, however I was a tad disappointed in this installment. I wouldn't exactly say the book was poorly written, but I found reading it to be a little boring and far fetched at times. Usually I can get into the books in this series and it just wasn't the case with this one. I was disappointed in this one. :-(

I’ve read all the books in this series and was really looking forward to this new installment. Carrie and Doc, their whole families really, have been loving and totally open to sexual experiences. What I love about this series is that there are real stories and people behind the hot sexual encounters that happen. And there are always sexy scenes as the author is an expert at building, and delivering, on the sexual tension. Carrie and Doc love each other and have always been supportive of each others needs in and out of the bedroom. As they face making decisions about their future they face it together despite even Carrie’s reluctance to share all the details surrounding Jody. Great dialogue, an intriguing story and all the sexiness I’ve come to expect makes this one of my favourites in this series.

Doc and Carrie's sexcapades continue, and if you have read any of the previous Baumgartner books you know how HOT they get. This story does NOT disappoint at all.

I have read a ton of Selena Kitt's book. I honestly haven't ever been disappointed and Empty Nest is just another story to add to the books that I've thoroughly enjoyed.
I really appreciated the development of these characters. Carrie and Doc have grown throughout the books. It is also refreshing to see an older couple enjoying their lives and the next stages that come with children growing and leaving the nest. One can only read about 20-30 something billionaries for so long. Carrie and Doc have stayed true to themselves and live their lives the way they see fit. Introduce Carrie's friend Jody from the past and some very interest twist start to unfold.
I love that these three can start new adventures filled with love, romance, and very hot steamy sex. I was pleasantly surprised at the turns this story took.
As always, I will continue to read any Selena Kitt book that I can get my hands on.

I absolutely love this series. They are all short reads that don't take up too much of your time but they sure pack some heat and get the motor running.
Once again we catch up with Carrie and Doc Baumgartner and get a peek into their very interesting life.

So, this is actually my first time time reading a Baumgartner book. I'm not really into this form of menage. However, I really love Selena Kitt's writing style so I thought I'd give it a try. While not all of it was for me, I found it to be as well written as her other books I've read. It's very hot and easy to see the feelings these characters have for each other.

This is a new story in the awesome Baumgartners series and we are back with our favorite couple, Doc and Carrie. Carrie has a secret and doesn't know how to tell Doc no it's not that she has a new lover he knows this no it's a bigger secret. Doc knows Carrie is hiding something but he doesn't know what. Now that the kids are gone Doc decided to take Carrie on different road trips but one trip will change their lives forever. When Jody, Carrie's new love and someone from her past needs help Doc will do anything to protect that woman. What will Doc do when he learns their secret. This book teaches us not to job a book by its cover. We still know that this couple still can't keep their hands off each other and the sex scenes are hotter than ever and when Jody joins in the chemistry and heat are off the charts...

Oh the Baumgartners know how to keep the passion and sex alive and well in their relationship. Now that the kids are grown and out of the house, Carrie is feeling a little empty but Doc is right there with his smooth moves and total love and devotion to show her the next chapter of their lives. At the same time, Carrie has renewed a friendship with Jody, from her foster care days, and feels she will be the next partner to share in their lives but Jody has a big secret. As things escalate for Jody and her current boyfriend, Doc and Carrie find themselves in the right place at the right time to assist. The only remaining question is, will Doc be able to accept Jody's differences?

I received this book in exchange for a honest review. Empty Nest is the story of filling your nest before it gets empty and you find yourselves bored of one another. Doc and Carrie have been empty nesters for awhile when this story picks up with the Baumgartners' and Carrie is feeling restless. She has reconnected with an old friend and she wants her. The story had a lot of hot sex. So if you don't like sex, don't like ménages then this is not the story for you. Selena had me worried about the characters and hoping that there would be some type of "happy" ending.
Hopeful that there will be another book to check in on Baumgartners.

Selena does it again with another visit to the Baumgartners. It's hard to say with all they have done, but I was a little shocked. The kids are grown and have moved out. Carrie has hooked up with an old friend online, but is keeping part of the affair secret from Doc. What would possibly make Carrie lie to Doc, even if it's only by omission? Doc isn't so innocent when it comes to hiding things either. What is he not telling Carrie? Jodie is amazing, but she has a history and past as well. Will it all work out? Well, it is the Baumgatner's, so you know the adventure will be full of some amazingingly hot scenes. A must read if you've read any of the previous books.

I was so excited about this story, because Doc and Carrie are one of my fav fictional couples, but I was kinda dissappointed. It felt really unrealistic that after a few decades, Jody comes (back) in Carrie's life and she feels the 'same' love as she feels for Doc. Also Doc falling in love with her too... I'm not against threesomes, but if 'love-love' is involved, I'm not sure I'm ok with it.
I thought and hoped the Carrie and Doc have an unbreakable bond of two and even if they have fun with other people, the love they feel toward eachother is something unique, what only happens once in your life if you are lucky.

I have to say that my favorite thing about this series is that Carrie and Doc don't have a "happily ever after". They met. They got together. The married.... they stayed that way. Their story just keeps going! Yes you still go away from them at times when reading about the kids, or where their past loves have gone. But it always comes back to them. I've always been a fan of the Baumgartners so I was thrilled to see a new one coming out and immediately preordered it. I wasn't disappointed in the slightest either.
I will admit she caught me completely off guard with the twist she tossed into this book. However, once I adjusted to the twist I ended up finishing the rest of the book in one sitting. In true Baumgartner fashion it was a hot one. I think my only disappointment is knowing this is probably the last book featuring Doc & Carrie as the main characters. I think they finally achieved their perfect happily ever after.

This is the first book I have read in this series and now I defiantly want to read more! I found this book was a great balance between steamy and sexy, but not over the edge that would make me feel more like I was reading 50 shades of.... I was not sure what to expect from this book but was totally blown away and felt pulled into the story almost right from the beginning. I have enjoyed other books by Selena Kitt and this one was no exception to that. If you are looking for a great read that is just steamy enough to draw you in look no further that any of Selena Kitt's books.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I haven't read all of the Baumgartners books and I haven't read all of Selena Kitt's books either; but I think this book is not only the best Baumgartners books but the best Selena Kitt book that I've read so far. It's the first book I've read with a transgender character. It is well-written and I found it thought provoking. This book was one I couldn't put down and felt emotionally invested. I don't know how Selena Kitt will top this one.

The Baumgartner stories are always hot, with a variety of partners and situations, and this one goes the extra mile .
The plot is greatly simplified without all the kids and babysitters around, which allows us to explore the depth of Carrie and Doc's relationship, and the importance of friendship and honesty. Doc is a rock!
And there's lots of really hot sex.

ARC review. Great read! This is the first book in this series I have read. The book kept me reading to figure out the dynamic between Carrie, Doc and Jody! The twist, turns and unexpected situations really keep you on your seat. I know want to go back and start reading this series from the beginning. Keep them coming!

Carrie, Doc and Jody wow this is another HOT and steamy story from Selena Kitt..... This is a little different, from the previous books it has a nice twist to it... The love scenes wow they are HOT as ever....... This is was a great and steamy read, as always in this series..... This is a must read book...... Get it today...

Have I mentioned that I love the Baumgartners! Selena Kitt knows how to steam up the pages. If you're looking for steamy books that will have you panting for more... the Baumgartners Series are the books for you. Baumgartners Empty Nest is the latest book the this series. This book will make your toes curl. Highly recommend!

A smoking hot read! This is one of those books that steam. Carrie and Doc are trying to find their way after their kids grow up and move on with their lives. Carrie meets Jody on the internet. Jody was originally a man who is now a woman in appearance. Doc doesn't share Carrie with men only woman. What will happen once he finds out?

Not my usual read but this was a very nice read. I liked the little surprise suspense elements that Selena added. Really made this book in the series very readable. As always this author knows her business. The book is well written in both plot and character. Thank you for the free read, it was appreciated.
