Oh my goodness - this book was AMAZING! I don't know if I can even put into words how much I loved it, but here goes! I would give it 6 stars if I could!
Reading this story made me feel the same way watching 2000s rom-coms used to make me feel - giddy and believing in love! Lucy & Nate's story is adorable, funny, and yet serious at times. Nate is a girl's dream man, and is so thoughtful and considerate to Lucy, even before their relationship begins!
To be completely honest, I didn't remember the description of the book before reading it. So when I started reading, I was super interested right away, curious what Lucy's issue was in the first chapter. I thought her banter with Nate was adorable, even when it's obvious they'll end up together.
As the book progressed, I really appreciated the more everyday aspects alongside the romantic aspects. I loved how Lucy & Nate's friendships were portrayed, and that they each had caring friends who wanted the best for them (and helped them see what was best for them). My favorite side character was Ruth, and I loved the parallel of her marriage story as well. The fact that both characters prayed for even the small things was amazing to me, and I'm glad Laura included it in the book! A lot of Christian fiction skims over discussions of God, so it was great seeing how much God was included in (and the center of) Lucy & Nate's story.
I appreciated the trigger warnings before the book started. The challenging parts were off-screen and not described in detail. Although I've never gone through anything remotely similar, I thought Laura did a good job describing Nate's feelings/emotions after the accident. Same with Lucy's diagnosis and treatment - it felt very realistic and relatable.
This no-spice book definitely was still a heart fluttering romance! I literally grinned while reading it many times with how cute Lucy & Nate's interactions were! (Even if I wanted to smack them and tell them to see the obvious feelings they had for each other at times!) Even with no spice (there is one or two kisses described), you still feel the tension building between the two as their relationship grows & changes. I thought the nickname-calling was really fun throughout the book!
I also really appreciated watching them grow as a family and all the scenes with Quinn - she is adorable and drew Nate & Lucy closer together, first with the childcare situation, and then as a common denominator helping/watching her grow.
Overall (before I write a whole essay on it), this book was one of the best books I've read this year, and I definitely will be recommending it to others! It was romantic, funny, sweet, serious, and adorable all wrapped up in one! After I finally got around to starting it, I finished it in 3 nights (all way later than they should have been), because I could not put it down! I love marriage of convenience stories, and this one just became a new favorite! More Than Convenient is such a sweet and realistic take on a practical marriage. Lucy and Nate are both Christians who believe marriage is a lifetime commitment, and there is something so beautiful about watching two people choose to commit to each other before the feelings ever come.
Nate and Lucy felt so real and relatable. I loved their teasing and the way Nate was always trying to get under Lucy’s skin. Their interactions felt so natural and had me smiling. Nate’s struggle with grief was so well written—my heart ached for him. I also appreciated the way Lucy’s diagnosis, her frustration with healthcare coverage, and the challenges of adjusting to a new lifestyle were handled. Prayer and faith are woven naturally throughout the story and felt like such an authentic part of their lives.
Nate is SUCH a green flag. He is kind, considerate, protective, and so precious with Lucy—even before he fully realizes how he feels about her. I just adore him. I loved watching Nate, Lucy, and Quinn grow into a family. There are so many incredible moments between them. I laughed at their banter. I grinned as they all grew closer. I teared up at their heartbreak and moments of vulnerability. I swooned over the flirting and kisses. I wanted to shake Nate and Lucy for not seeing what was obvious to everyone else. And I cheered when they finally figured things out!
There are quite a few side characters, and I really enjoyed getting to know them. You can definitely tell several are going to get stories of their own, and I am here for it! I especially loved that both Nate and Lucy had strong friendships and people in their lives who loved them enough to speak wisdom when they needed it.
If you love Christian fiction, marriage of convenience, childhood friends to more, and romances with heart, depth, and plenty of swoon, add this one to your TBR!

This book was incredible! And SO SO SO CUTE! I love everything Laura has written but every book just keeps getting better!
Nate and Lucy have such a special story and it destroyed me in every way possible (all good ways ofc). It's been a long time since a book has made me cry but this one sent me over the edge!!! Everything from the beginning to the end was captivating and down to earth. Putting this book down was so hard. There weren't parts of it that were dull or burning.
Emotionally this book is so relatable. The friends to lovers romance got me HARD. The way Nate and Lucy care for each other is healing. Praying for each other, caring for each other. The tension built is refreshing as they are building something they want to last not just survive. These characters overcome a lot throughout these chapters. Its real. Its raw. The depth of this book is far more than a happy ending and you will leave hopeful and happy.
More than anything I love the Godly characters this story has. Nate and Lucy both love the Lord and that's so evident in every area of this book. The presence of God is not an afterthought here it's at the forefront. If you're looking for a relatable emotional romance this one is incredible.
My only complaint is that I wish it had been longer or that I could read it again for the first time. I'm really hoping there is a follow up to this book.

More than convenient by Laura Hawkins was a Hallmark movie in a book. You could usually figure out what was going to happen and yet you still wanted to read it because it made you feel good and happy. The book is clean with no swearing or intimacy scenes.
The Little town in Tennessee that the book takes place in is very likable and real. The characters were easy to fall in love with, and you were rooting for Lucy and Nate throughout the book. The book is written in both Lucy and Nate‘s perspective and shows their struggles which are relatable for readers. You watch them grow throughout the story both with each other and God.. In the story Lucy learned she has type one diabetes and the emotions she goes through made me feel for her as I was diagnosed with type two diabetes in my 20s. The book did a great job showing the true emotions and feelings of the characters with the different trials that they went through and overcame in the story.
If you’re looking for a feel good, happy book that is true to life, this book is for you. More than convenient was an easy and wonderful read. I can’t wait to read more about Nate and Lucy and their friends in future books!

A sweet, marriage of convenience, Christian romance and the first in the Immeasurably More series. Laura did an amazing job showing the range of emotions in this one and I was kicking my feet at the sweet moments and fun teasing between Lucy and Nate.
While Lucy may seem like more of a grump, she is going through a lot and is fearful of the rumor mill that her small town has. When she finds out that she has type 1 diabetes, her job doesn’t cover anything but major medical, her hours are cut for the summer, and her sister needs the apartment they share once she’s married she is determined to make it work but God has other plans for her.
When tragedy happens to Nate and his family, he becomes guardian of his sister’s baby girl. With his job as a firefighter, he needs someone to help watch Quinn. The timing couldn’t be more perfect for Lucy to help out and since she loves Quinn, it’s a no brainer. But, as time passes and Lucy has a medical scare, Nate feels like they could both benefit from a marriage of convenience. Determined to make sure Lucy knows that this isn’t a short term deal but that he feels that marriage is a covenant and is for life.
I am really looking forward to more books in this series as there are so many side characters that have been set up with potential for their own stories.

Lucy is simply trying to navigate life when she's diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, forcing her to adjust to a new reality. Nate, the charming firefighter (and Lucy's lovable frenemy), suddenly finds himself becoming the guardian of his precious baby niece after an unexpected tragedy.
One of my favorite parts of the book was the banter between Lucy and Nate. Their teasing and playful relationship made me outright laugh sometimes, but I also appreciated how naturally the story shifted into deeper moments that dealt with grief, unexpected hardships, and the ways life, and Satan, can throw challenges into our path. Through it all, the message of faith and trusting God shines through without feeling forced.
I can't recommend this book enough! Set aside a few hours before you start because once you pick it up, you won't want to put it down.

Their teasing and playful relationship made me outright laugh sometimes, but I also appreciated how naturally the story shifted into deeper moments that dealt with grief, unexpected hardships, and the ways life, and Satan, can throw challenges into our path. Through it all, the message of faith and trusting God shines through without feeling forced.
I can't recommend this book enough! Set aside a few hours before you start because once you pick it up, you won't want to put it down.

There are not enough words in the world that could fully capture how much I LOVED this book! The banter had me laughing nonstop, the characters were crazy lovable, and the message hits you straight in the heart! I laughed, I cried, and once I started reading I literally could not stop! It was absolutely amazing, Nate, Lucy, and Quinn have my whole heart FOREVER!

This book was soo sweet! The author didn’t shy away from hard life circumstances and handled it all with such sweet tender care.
Tackling diabetes was done so well too. I feel like i learned alot about it along her journey of the diagnosis and appreciated this was apart of Lucy’s story.
The way the two main characters started out teasing each other, and how it really was love deep down was just so neat to see develop over time. I loved the banter! It felt very relatable. I loved Quinn! It took me back to my kids being that age and made me melt.
I really enjoyed the nicknames Nate gave the girls in his life. That felt very real to me as someone who gives nicknames to everyone. Plus, they were hilarious and cute all in one swoop.

More Than Convenient completely stole my heart. I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end. It's one of the sweetest romances I've read all year, and I found myself getting so wrapped up in Lucy and Nate's story that I genuinely didn't want it to end. The faith woven throughout the story felt natural and meaningful, adding so much depth to their journey together.
What I loved most was watching their relationship grow through everyday moments. As they learned to navigate life together, care for Quinn, and slowly let their walls come down, their connection felt genuine and earned. By the end, I was completely invested in this little family. If you're looking for a heartfelt, faith-filled romance that leaves you smiling long after you've finished, I can't recommend this one enough.

This book was absolutely perfect. I really loved the faith themes. The way they prayed for each other even when they are “enemies” was just so adorable. The way grief was portrayed was also incredible. Nate and Lucy were perfect together. Their banter was so cute. I really loved the entire friend group. And baby Quinn was so so cute. I loved the storyline of this book. I haven’t read a marriage of convenience before. It was so sweet and hilarious! Nate and Lucy’s pull your pigtails kind of friendship made me laugh out loud in the whole book. I love how they could almost read each other so they weren’t overdoing the banter. The name calling reminds me of my husband and I. Although I’m not as hilarious as Lucy when she calls Nate a lint linker, multiple times. Reading Lucy travel through her new diagnosis was a sweet and striking time. It taught me to show grace towards others experiencing the same or similar conditions. I love the: sweetness of their love, hilarity of their banter, and the certainty of faith. Overall this book has something for everyone!

Okay I loved this book! I loved the dynamic between Nate and Lucy and watching them grow closer over time. Their friendship felt deeply rooted even though they seemed like enemies based on their teasing and name calling lol. I love the things that they stand for and their goodness. Baby Quinn is adorable. The way Nate takes care of Lucy melts my heart. I also love that they decided to make their marriage the real deal and not just get temporarily married.
The friend group is amazing and some teasers have me stoked to read future books in this series!
This is a definite slow burn! My only disappointment is I wanted a little bit more of their relationship to play out after they kissed.

This was the first story I have read as an ARC. As a reader it does sometimes feel like there is pressure to write a rave review. I knew after reading Laura's first two novels, this one was sure to be just as good. I was not disappointed. I absolutely loved it! Not only do I love a marriage of convenience story but one with characters of faith was even better. It was amazing to read a love story that includes Jesus at every step of the way.
I love re-reading my favourite books, and this is one I will definitely come back to. I can't wait to read the books to come.

What an adventure to journey through with Nate and Lucy! It was an experience of the ways God can work beyond our logic and understanding to still bring it all together for good and for His glory! There were moments that made me smile, such as the closeness of the town impacting their relationship, moments that made me pause because of how giddy they made me feel, and some moments where I just had to talk to Jesus as I was reflecting on things brought up in the story that related to real life. While grief and unexpected changes do come in life, we know that there is hope in Jesus! Really enjoyed this read.

Ten stars!!! This book was so amazing! I loved it all, the characters, the plot, the banter and all the emotion. There were several tears shed while reading this gem. My heart went out to Nate as he navigated through his grief & loss. However there were many happy moments throughout as well. Nate’s nicknames for Lucy and Quinn were so much fun. Not to mentions the moms! It is so refreshing to read a book that has all the feels and no spice (filth).

I LOVED this book more than I can describe!!! The characters were truly lovable and I didn’t feel too much of that irritation that you can feel with two characters back and forth on when they should push the boundaries to spark or try the romance. I was so upset when I saw I was 75% of the way through and I wouldn’t have more to read. I cannot wait to see where the rest of the series goes!!

I absolutely adored this book! My only issue with it was that it couldn’t last forever. When you begin reading, you’re immediately sucked into a cozy world that you don’t want to end! I thought the pacing of the story was great and I enjoyed the way the author handled sensitive topics. Definitely can’t wait for the next book to come out already!

I cried actual tears reading this. This book is one that will stick with me for a long time. I have never reread a book, but this will absolutely be a reread for me. There’s so much goodness in this book I feel like I need a second helping of it. The banter was top tier. The storyline was perfect. I loved every single thing about this book.

Leads that have known each other, have similar values and family relationships, discover they have shared need and are willing to go all in to support one another. 3.5 stars for me. A sweet, clean romance read. It started slow for me but picked up speed pleasantly towards the end. Some of the faith elements felt slightly forced but overall I enjoyed the themes of faith-filled community and family. I also thought the tension between the two main characters was well developed by the end.

This book was just downright amazing! I loved Nate and Lucy's chemistry from the beginning.. even if they didn't want to admit to their chemistry. I finished this book so fast and I'm sad it's over. Laura you are truly a gifted writer and I can not wait for you to publish more books!! You are officially my favorite author!!! Brilliant!!!
