Twin Flame

He was my first love, his brother became my last.

Sara is already drowning in grief when Joe crashes into her life and gives her a reason to smile again. Magnetic and impossible to resist, he pulls her into a world she was never meant to enter.

A world that comes with Liam, his twin brother.

He's cold, calculated, and dangerous in ways Joe isn't. Liam is the last person Sara should trust, but every decision she makes brings her closer to everything she should stay away from.

Sara never meant to get involved.
Joe never meant to let fate come between them.
Liam never meant to let her in.

Obsession, secrets, and a love stronger than reason pull the three of them into a game no one is prepared to play.

And once the fire ignites, no one can put it out.

Blending forbidden love, emotional angst, and explosive chemistry, Twin Flame is a dark emotional romance perfect for readers who love angst, obsession, and imperfect characters who ruin each other before they heal, and who become impossible not to love.

Okay…I loved this.

This is one of those books where I kept saying, “One more chapter,” and then suddenly it was midnight.

My favorite thing was how SMART this book is. There are so many little Easter eggs and connections that you don’t even realize are important until later. Nothing is random. Every time something clicked I was like, “Wait…that’s SO GOOD.” I love books that reward you for paying attention.

And St. Tropez isn’t just a pretty setting. It’s actually part of the story. There are things that happen later that only work because of Sara’s history there, and I loved that. It made everything feel so much more believable.

Also…Julie might write settings better than almost anyone I’ve read. I don’t know how else to explain it except I felt like I was there. It made me want to book a flight to the South of France immediately. 😂

The pacing is SO good too. Something is always happening, but it never feels chaotic. I would look up and realize I’d accidentally read three more chapters because they’re so easy to fly through.

I loved Sara from the beginning. Her attitude is everything. Liam is also so complex. I loved his character arc. The banter is funny, the romance works, the action keeps coming, the emotional moments hit, and I loved watching the characters grow.

This book really has everything—romance, action, mystery, humor, heartbreak, and twists that actually surprised me. I genuinely gasped more than once.

Such a fun, addictive read. I loved every second.

3.5 ⭐️ firstly, big thank you to Julie for sending this arc read! The synopsis is really what sold me on this book, because who doesn’t want a brother’s ex girlfriend romance??

It’s not a spoiler that our fmc’s boyfriend dies but I wasn’t expecting to fall for him as quickly as I did.. however, it’s always going to be the brooding bad boy that does me in. And boy was he BROODY.

Liam is everything that I love in a morally gray man right down to his “I’ll burn the world down for you” attitude. My only problem was I wished we got a little bit more of their romance. But other than that, this was a fun read!

...yall...this book gave me whiplash in the BEST WAY POSSIBLE! I was gasping, crying, laughing, and thrown all over the place! Haha You can feel the passion, hate, sacrifice, and love throughout this entire book. For this to be Julie's first book.. I am a fan for life and I can't wait to see what happens for her in the future. 10/10 recommend *thank you for allowing me to ARC read*

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC!
Twin Flame was such an emotional rollercoaster, has you sobbing one minute and raging the next! Sara made for such a strong, compelling lead, smart and resilient even while navigating grief and betrayal. The push and pull between her, Joe, and Liam kept me guessing constantly, one moment I thought I knew who I wanted her with, then everything shifted again. Liam's transformation from cold and resentful to fiercely devoted was such a highlight. That morally gray "I'll burn the world down for you" energy is exactly what I love in a brooding love interest. The tension between him and Sara simmered beautifully beneath all the anger and hurt, and the ending felt earned and satisfying. The plot delivered plenty of twists, secrets, and danger I didn't see coming, though I did wish for a bit more time spent developing Sara and Liam's romance once it finally took center stage. Blending forbidden love, emotional angst, and explosive chemistry, Twin Flame is a dark emotional romance perfect for readers who love morally grey men, obsession, and imperfect characters who ruin each other before they heal, and who become impossible not to love.

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for my advanced copy of Twin Flame. This book was everything I wanted in a dark romance. From the moment I picked it up and started reading, I could not put it down.

This book put me through every single emotion - sadness, grief, confusion, happiness, contentment, anger, terror - I’m a mess right now. Just when I thought I knew where this was going, I was proven wrong. The last 10% of the book was the most stressful experience of my life. This is one of those books that will stick with me for a long time. I’m so glad I decided to give this one a shot.

Wow Julie! Thank you so much for allowing me to be an ARC reader for Twin Flame! It was such a captivating read for me. I absolutely loved the setting in St. Tropez, somewhere I’ve always wanted to go myself so it was fun to imagine the scenery. Julie did such an amazing job taking us there. When we meet Sara and Joe I was immediately in it. Give me that little age gap, the yearning-all while enduring the scrutiny of Joe’s moody twin, Liam. When Joe suddenly died on his motorcycle I was in shock but then the best thing was brought to us and that was Liam and Sara finding peace together through their pain. It was a rocky start at first filled with anger and malice and blame but that only led to the best sexual tension! You could really feel the guilt that they both battled with with not wanting to fight their feelings towards each other but also not wanting to betray Joe. I loved Liam and Sara both being able to heal each other in different ways and finally embrace their darker sides together. The twists and turns in this book kept me on my toes. Hello, Joe? The way my jaw dropped. Thank you for not leaving me in tears and giving me the hea that I desperately needed Liam and Sara to have. I laughed, I cried, I blushed. All the things that led me to giving this a five star rating!!

Twin Flame was a crazy rollercoaster that literally left me on the edge of my seat. A love triangle between Sara Delacroix and twins, Joe and Liam Laurent, a shady business going on around town, suspense, and twists and turns that will leave your jaw on the ground.

What to expect:
🃏 Dark Romance
💜 Touch Her & Die
🃏 Forced Proximity
💜 Rivals to Lovers
🃏 Found Family
💜 Age Gap
🃏 One Bed

There’s not a ton I can say without giving a lot away, but the love between these three will make you go crazy. You’ll have an opinion on them and think you know who you want to be together, but then that changes suddenly, then it will change again. It made me anxious, but in a good way! I was kept on my toes this entire read. Sara was such a strong character, especially for being only 19 years old. She was smart, loving, and could handle herself pretty well. Joe was the perfect guy until everythingggg changed and there were so many secrets he was holding onto. Liam was terrible to Sara at first but man when he starts showing how big his heart is, it’s amazing!

Be prepared to have so many emotions while reading this and nothing is as it seems! Great debut novel!

Some books entertain you. Others leave pieces of themselves behind. Twin Flame did the latter.

Joe shattered my heart in ways I wasn’t prepared for. He was gentle, selfless, and loved Sara with a quiet kind of devotion that felt effortless... I’m so excited to see where his story goes ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Then there’s Liam.

“I can't let you go,” I whisper, “I don't think I'll ever be able to. Don’t ever make me have to let you go.” - don’t let me go Liam 😭❤️‍🔥

I wasn’t expecting him to unravel me the way he did. Beneath his anger and sharp edges was a man who had spent his entire life believing he was impossible to love. His love wasn’t perfect—it was messy, consuming, protective, and born from years of pain—but it was deeply human.

And Sara… she was the heart of it all. She reminded me that grief and love can exist in the same space. That moving forward doesn’t erase the people we’ve lost. She never stopped loving Joe, but she also found the courage to open her heart again, proving that loving someone new doesn’t diminish the love that came before.

This story isn’t just about a love triangle or twin brothers. It’s about healing from trauma, learning your worth, finding home in someone when you’ve spent your life believing you didn’t deserve one, and understanding that fate doesn’t always look the way we expect it to.

I laughed because Sara’s inner thoughts were hilarious. I cried because these characters felt real. And I closed the book feeling like I had to say goodbye to people I had genuinely come to love.

Some stories end when you turn the last page.

Twin Flame stayed with me long after I closed the book. 🖤🥀

✨ARC BOOK REVIEW ✨

4 ⭐️ Twin Flame sent me on a rollercoaster, and it was worth it!! I was hooked, and there was no going back for me. This book has so many twists and turns; I was on the edge of my seat. I personally think it’s best to go in blind with this one. There’s so much I want to say, but it will spoil it. I really loved how strong Sara is throughout the book as a 19-year-old. That poor girl went through so much; my heart broke for her. My twins Joe & Liam went through so much as well; I just want to hug them all and hold them. Joe is our sweet, kind twin, and then Liam (my king) is the mysterious, brooding brother. I did love Joe and Sara together, but then Liam entered the chat, and it was over. Liam and Joe are involved in shady business around town, and it slowly starts coming to light throughout the book.I loved how much Liam and Sara dealt with their grief together and helped one another. Now I wish we would’ve gotten more romance between Liam and Sara. I wasn’t fully convinced of their romance. This also was only a 4-star for me cause I did figure out one of the plot twists, but the other twists had me gagged. I’m excited for the next book in the series. 🖤🖤

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Twin Flame. Once I was hooked there was no going back! Its twisty, action packed and full of tension.

The grief these characters experience is so unique to them and beautifully captured. You can't stop your heart from breaking for each of them.

I loved the storyline and found it completely gripping. Vigilante justice at its finest! The twists kept me guessing throughout and kept me on the edge of my seat.

The tension between Sara and Liam is palpable and the spice is perfection. Who doesn't love a morally grey MMC?! 👌😅

First off I’m so appreciative to have been an arc reader for this book and I’m excited to be apart of the street team :) This book handles grief and healing very well. What a ride this book takes you through and the plot twists!! If you love Vampire Diaries I feel you will love this. I say that because Sara gives Elena and Liam gives Damon while Joe gives Stefan. Sara and Joe I was invested in them I was curious where that was going but then boom the story takes a turn and we get into Sara and Liam and man what a ride that was!! The yearning and obsession there was soooo good!! Such a ride this book took me through and I ate it up!! The Laurent brothers is something else and I definitely think that Liam Laurent will be everyone new book boyfriend for sure ;) I’m excited for the next book in the series!! Julie S Blake is definitely an author that is next up and my new fave dark romance author :) this was done so well.

**Spoiler**
Getting to the end and seeing that book 2 is Artemis and Damien ahhhh I can’t wait for that!!! I’m very curious about those 👀

Twin Flame pulled me in and refused to let go.

Liam. Joe. Sara. Every one of them got under my skin. The tension was addictive, the chemistry was electric, and more than once I caught myself thinking, there's no way that just happened. The twists kept me completely on edge.

As someone from the South of France, I loved seeing the story unfold somewhere so familiar. It made every scene feel even more vivid.

If you love dark romance with gorgeous characters, simmering tension, and moments that make your heart race, this one deserves a spot on your shelf. I already need the next book.

This is one of those books where the less I say, the better, because saying too much would give the plot away.

I will say that it was an absolute roller-coaster of a book. Love, betrayal, survival, grief, and trauma are all at the forefront in this one.
The story has incredible suspense, with plenty of twists and turns that I didn't see coming. Once things started unraveling, I could not put it down.

Oh, and the spice was absolutely on point, and there is one scene that had my jaw dropping and had me blushing!

I thought this was a fantastic debut novel, and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

I DEVOURED THIS BOOK, this story, this masterpiece. I read it in about 3-4 days and mind you, I’m not a fast reader. I spill my heart out about it on my Instagram (b00kedonromantasy) if you want to see. But I was not sure what I was really expecting going into this book but the way I related, and felt every damn emotion each of these characters felt. You form a connection with them and it literally has your heart all in it. Trauma. Healing. Trauma. Spice. Slow burn. Twin brothers. Age gap. Plot twists. Heartache. I am BOOK HUNGOVER. I got whiplash and I enjoyed every second. This book is one you must read, but when you do, you won’t want to put it down. Truly such a good story and I’d read it all over again and put my heart through all of it.

I admittedly am not usually one to read a love triangle trope, but I think the way it was handled in this book is pretty unique and added well to the drama. So much drama! It's a compelling read, and I could barely put it down. Great debut -- sign me up for book 2!

The best rollercoaster ride ever

I’ve never read a book that made me feel EVERY emotion as strongly as I did in Twin Flame. There are so many twists and turns and even when you think you’ve figured everything out here comes Julie to throw some more curve balls.
I’m still trying to pick my jaw up off the floor.

Needless to say I will absolutely be reading the next 2 books as well!

I enjoyed this. The tropes caught my eye immediately and I missed the fact that this was the author’s debut! It was well written and emotional. I went into the story mostly blind (per my usual style) and I was surprised at the assumptions I made about the story based on the cover and tropes that were so far off from the depth that was within the story. There were some heavy elements to it so please be sure to check your triggers but it was a gripping story!

Thank for the opportunity to arc read this story!

What a freaking roller coaster ride! No amount of safety harnesses could keep me safe from all the emotional whiplash and plot twists!! I was kicking my feet one minute and reeling from anxiety the next. The tension between Sara, Joe and Liam was intense and had my heart breaking multiple times.

This story definitely dove into some dark topics that can be hard to read about but I LOVED the ending and how it all wrapped up!! And at its core, this book is about the greatness of love and the ability to get through life’s challenges with the right people by your side.

A fantastic debut dark romance! I can’t wait to get my hands on book two!!

“Every time you look at me, I feel like I’m standing on a cliff. Part of me is waiting for you to push, and the other part is waiting for you to catch me.”

“When I said you were never meant to be mine, I still would cross and burn every bridge if it led me to you.”

I really enjoyed this book, the plot had me sucked it. I love a good suspense story line. I went in completely blind and I was not disappointed. I was shocked, heartbroken, and I even giggled at a few moments. I basically felt all the emotions. There is grief, secrets, betrayal and obsession.

I’m a sucker for an FMC falling for her ex boyfriend’s brother 💀👀 and this was done so well. I really enjoyed all the angst and tension. I loved the dynamics between all of our characters.

It gave forced proximity, age gap, rivals to lovers, suspense, and touch her and 💀

WHOA! I typically go into books wanting to know all of the tropes, character info and spoilers, but with Twin Flame, I went in a little blind wanting to be surprised... Little did I know, I was gonna be shocked, blown away, flabbergasted and left staring at the wall.

Julie Blake put me through it... I was constantly gasping, throwing my kindle, screaming and kicking my feet the entire time. I had no idea the wild plot twists (plural) we were gonna be getting throughout the book. Once I finally recovered from one, bam she hit you with another out of nowhere! The wild ride had me gripping my kindle for dear life.

Twin Flame gave me every emotion, the love triangle was just enough to piss me off a little bit while also serving the story in a juicy, angsty way! The romance hit so good.

Now Miss Sara is a baddie. In the beginning, you don't think she will be able to hold her own, she is soft and sweet with Joe, but Liam... he brings out her sass, her fierceness and toughness. I love who she became with Liam. She respects herself and her decisions while putting him in his place and bringing him to his knees (several times and several ways)

The spice was perfect. By the time we got to it, I was so ready for it. Liam is the man, all of us girls drool over. The way he became with Sara, for her had me literally drooling on the floor. He changed in all the ways he needed too yet never became someone he wasn't. He became soft for only her, yet stayed the morally grey, obsessive, possessive man we want him to be. I am so down bad for Liam and I knew I would be the minute I read him on my page. There was no question which brother I wanted.

The sprinkles of the found family and side characters were so fun to read, bc I started to crave more of them on the page. I was already pairing together who I wanted to read next. (Damien)

I had a blast reading Twin Flame ... I wish there was more story between Liam, Sara and Joe, I could've read a whole other book on just them 3, but I am so ready and excited for what's next.

Over all, this was such a fun read. From the suspense and thrill, to the mystery story and the juicy twisted love triangle, I have not read a book with all of these different aspects to it. It was a blast. I cannot wait for book 2.

Thank you for writing this book Julie. I love the setting, St. Tropez and the yacht scenes I pictured so clearly in my head (now I wanna plan a trip to France). I just thoroughly loved and enjoyed reading Twin Flame.

Sara is already drowning in grief when Joe comes into her life and becomes the person who gives her a reason to smile again. But Joe is hiding secrets, and when everything falls apart, Sara is left trying to deal with a loss she never expected. Then comes Liam—Joe’s twin brother. Cold, calculated, and carrying his own anger and pain, Liam is the last person Sara should get involved with.

What follows is a messy mix of grief, secrets, obsession, forbidden feelings and a relationship that neither of them ever expected.

I have to say, this one was a bit of a mixed read for me.

I felt genuinely bad for Sara, Joe and Liam and everything they were put through. Their grief and emotions were some of the strongest parts of the book. The characters were vulnerable, flawed, and clearly carrying a lot of pain, and I thought those emotions came across really well.

BUT… I struggled quite a bit with the romance.

I’m personally not a big fan of the ex-boyfriend’s brother trope, especially when both brothers are genuinely good people but have complicated and darker side. And in this particular story, it was even harder for me to get behind because of everything that happens between Sara, Joe and Liam. There was always this feeling at the back of my mind of how is this supposed to work? 😭

I understood why everything happened the way it did, and I could see the reasoning behind the characters’ choices, but emotionally, I just couldn’t fully get on board with it.

That being said, the tension between Sara and Liam was definitely there. Their interactions had that push-and-pull feeling, especially with all the anger and resentment between them. You could feel the chemistry underneath everything, even when neither of them wanted to acknowledge it.

I also really appreciated that the book didn’t shy away from the darker and more emotional sides of the story. There was grief, danger, secrets, betrayal and plenty of angst, and the twists definitely kept things moving. I did find myself wanting to know what was going to happen next.

🌟6-Star Read: ARC Review🌟
❤️‍🔥Twin Flame by Julie. S Blake
🗓️Releasing July 30th, 2026

"You asked me to burn it all, Sara, so I did. I'd burn, kill, skin, rob, or drown anything and anyone you'd ask me to if it meant to always protect you."

If you are looking for a book that will absolutely wreck you, put you through an emotional blender, and then piece your soul back together, look no further. Twin Flame is a dark romance full of tension, and raw, guttural emotion. It has officially cemented itself as my first ever 6⭐️ read.

From the very beginning, the author promises a wild ride, and delivers tenfold. This book features a plot so intense it gave me goosebumps, had my heart pounding out of my chest, and left me ugly-crying into my Kindle multiple times. The grief, the stakes, and the twists are executed with flawless timing. Just when you think the ride is leveling out, the track drops out from under you🎢🎢🎢

The chemistry in this book is soul-consuming. The teasing is exquisite agony, and when the tension finally breaks? It is beautiful and deliciously perfect. But what makes this book a masterpiece isn't just the raw passion and high tension, it’s the profound emotional weight behind every single scene. The dialogue hits straight in the throat.

Twin Flame broke me beyond repair and then healed me in ways I didn’t know I needed. With jaw-dropping twists that I didn’t see coming, and an ending that left my eyes leaking tears of pure satisfaction—Julie poured her entire heart and soul into these pages, and you can feel it in every syllable. Prepare for cardiac arrest, pack a box of tissues, and get ready for a possible therapy session🎭

Thank you for trusting me to be an extra pair of eyes. I’m so proud of you Julie, I can’t say it enough. Congratulations on your debut novel!!!🥹🥹

When Sara fell in love with the boy next door, she never expected to be drawn into a world she didn’t know existed. While he was 25 to her 18, she didn’t see their age gap as significant, and after 5 months together she could already see a future with Joe. When fate separated them, she felt like every breath was impossible, and having to face Joe’s twin at every turn made it harder to breathe.

As much as he’s tried to push Sara away, Liam can’t help but be drawn to her, but his own self-hatred and loyalty to his brother force him to stay away. But when he finds out that someone has been watching her, he vows to keep her safe. The more time they spend locked behind security fences, the harder it is to resist each other, and despite everything, they collide in fiery passion. As they fall deeper into each other, their love becomes something dark and powerful, refusing to let either of them go. And as Sara gets pulled deeper into Liam’s world, he won’t let anything or anyone take her away.

I received an early copy of this book from NetGalley and it broke me and the best possible way. While Sara and Joe were everything you’d expect from a first love, sugary and sweet, what she has with Liam is dark and gritty and unbreakable. I loved how the author portrayed grief as a living entity, not something to get over, but something to survive, bit by bit, every single day. As much as Liam and Sara tried to resist their connection, in the end it was inevitable, with them both lifting each other up and dragging each other down in the same breath. The twists in this book were unreal, and although the author dropped a few easter eggs along the way, they left readers more likely to doubt their own minds than guessing what would happen next. This is one of those stories that has you sobbing one minute and raging the next, only to end and leave you wanting more.

This is the kind of book that will stick with me for a long time. There are so many deep, intense, and absolutely heartbreaking emotions spelled out across the pages of this book that it left me feeling like I had taken on Sara's grief as my own. This book ripped out, stomped on, and destroyed my heart on several occasions, but I could not stop turning the pages.

There were so many moments as I was reading this book where I was like "yea, I know exactly what's going to happen next" and then something completely insane would happen and I'd find myself sitting there with my mouth gaped open in shock. It took me longer to read this book than normal because life has been so busy. This is a book that I normally would have finished within maybe 2 days, but I'm honestly glad it took me a bit because I was able to savor it more.

The chemistry between Liam and Sara is off the charts, and the angst? I'm surprised there's room left on these pages for anything else 🥵 I knew I was going to end up falling for Liam because of his bad boy vibe, but I didn't expect to love him so quickly and so much. I was as shocked as Sara was 🤣

I honestly am so floored that things turned out the way they did. This was one hell of a debut novel, Julie! I'm going to be obsessing over this one for a long freaking time.
