I read the first chapter or so through an ad that popped up and was thrilled when I found it on Amazon. I didn't want to deal with the pay per chapter app. I really enjoyed this book it was a quick easy read. As far as a story being one of the pay by chapter stories I was pleasantly surprised this is one of the better ones. I read it in one sitting, the author did a good job keeping me engaged. I was pleased how both main characters developed through the story. Their banter after getting past the MMCs dumb decisions was entertaining and light. If you are looking for a quick easy read I would definitely give this book a shot. I gave it four stars because I can't give it three and half. I did so because I have ADHD and finding a book that keeps me reading and not noticing how much time has passed as I've read it isn't always easy.

Story has good bones

The story line is good and makes you want to find out what happens next. There are a few holes and the writing could be edited.
