THIS BOOK WAS SUCH A DARK, TWISTED, AND ADDICTIVE RIDE! 🔥🖤 Chani Lynn Feener really knows how to create an omegaverse romance filled with obsession, power, and a relationship that keeps you questioning just how far these characters are willing to go.
Elm Erskine's story immediately pulled me in. Born a beta and suddenly having his presentation forcibly altered after being kidnapped, Elm is thrown into a situation he never could have imagined. He's taken away from everything familiar, placed on another planet, and forced to navigate a new identity and instincts that he never asked for. What made his character so compelling was his loneliness and his desire to feel connected to the people around him. Beneath everything happening to him, Elm is someone who wants to belong, and that emotional side of his character really stood out to me.
Then we have Leviathan Morningstar. THE MAFIA KING HIMSELF. 😩🔥 Levi is powerful, controlling, and used to getting exactly what he wants. As the heir raised to rule the White Frost, he has built his entire life around control and strength. He doesn't need an omega, and he certainly doesn't expect to become interested in the brother of his enemy. Yet the moment Elm enters his world, things begin to change.
What I loved about Levi was the way his curiosity develops into something much more intense. He initially sees Elm as something unusual and interesting, but his feelings quickly become far more personal. His possessiveness grows, and the more he wants Elm, the more determined he becomes to keep him close. Levi is absolutely not the type of alpha who simply sits back and waits for things to happen. He's always planning, always calculating, and always several steps ahead.
Elm and Levi's dynamic is where this story gets seriously intense. You have Elm, who refuses to simply bend to Levi's demands, and Levi, who is accustomed to having control over everyone around him. Their relationship is filled with power struggles, yearning, and an undeniable pull that neither of them seems able to ignore.
I particularly enjoyed the contrast between Elm's need for connection and Levi's instinct to possess and control. Elm wants to find something real, while Levi approaches their relationship with the mindset of someone who is used to claiming what he wants. That creates a complicated emotional dynamic, especially as Elm tries to hold on to his independence.
The forced presentation element adds another layer to the story, because Elm is having to deal with changes to his body and instincts that were never his choice. His journey isn't simply about falling for a powerful alpha. It's also about navigating everything that has been taken from him and figuring out what he wants for himself.
And Levi? The man wears a crown for a reason. 😂🖤 His mafia background, dominance, and obsession with Elm make him such an intense character to read about. I loved the way the story explores his growing attachment and the lengths he's willing to go to keep Elm within his reach.

Another absolutely banging dark-romance omegaverse book from Chani; I adore all her writing and this one was no exception!

It is a dark romance, so there are elements of dub-con here, driven by the ABO natures of the characters, so please check trigger warnings if you need to 💕 There is no mpreg in this book (Elm is a synthetic omega, so lacks the biology).

In this long awaited book, Elm has disappeared and Kian, his brother has desperately looked but not found him. He had been kidnapped, forced into a gender change and although Levi, the White Frost mob boss rescued him, he also kept him captive to experiment on. Initially the Alpha Levi is cold, calculating and extremely unlikable to the reader and Elm, he soon becomes a changed man when Elm proves to be his kryptonite. Elm finds his strength and belief in himself and both deserve their happy ending. I loved this book with Chani's usual flair for possessive and obsessive couples, knowing they will set the world on fire to save and have each other. It's steamy and sexy and full of jealousy and a very dark, manipulative romance, in other words, fantastic.

Another enjoyable book from Chani!!! I really enjoyed this. Levi was definitely problematic in the best way but shockingly way less than Chani's other MMCs. He had redeeming qualities lol. This was addictive and fast paced. I can't wait for more books by Chani, especially Omegaverse.

I absolutely LOVED this! There isn't a single thing about this that I didn't like.
I really enjoyed the slow burn. It felt like it made sense for these two and it's definitely worth the wait. Enemies-to-lovers is one of my favorite tropes but lately I haven't been able to find many books were they're truly enemies. This was not that. I loved that this felt like an actual enemies-to-lovers. It made them moving past being enemies so satisfying.
This reminded me of Between the Devil and the Sea, which is one of my favorites. Yes, it's toxic, but it also works. Once they get past the not so great beginning and work through some shit they work so well together!
Elm and Levi were fantastic characters. This book was long but because of that I feel like we got to know them so well. I feel like there where hints in the other books at how Elm felt about himself and his brother but we get to see all of that here. One of my favorite parts was Levi just talking about what he thinks the artist of the Rabbit God statue is feeling. We get to see them really get to know each other and I really enjoyed that. Another favorite moment was Levi making Elm wear the rabbit tail. I dunno why but I laughed out loud at that one. I also enjoyed Elm telling Kian to fuck off.
This is easily one of my new favorites! I would recommend this to anyone in a heartbeat! Thank you Chani for my early copy!

Another excellent read by Chani! I actually really appreciated that, despite the obvious attraction between them, Levi made a genuine effort to let affection grow organically instead of allowing their relationship to rely entirely on insta-lust. The lust was definitely still there, of course, which is pretty par for the course in this universe, but I love seeing more emotional depth develop between the MCs with each installment in the series.
I also really loved the story of the rabbit from Levi’s past and how beautifully it connected with the sculpture of the Rabbit God that Elm created as a depiction of his perfect mate. Little motifs like this are what really help strengthen the bond between the characters and make their connection feel more meaningful. They also reinforce that sense of fate woven throughout these stories, like these two people were always somehow meant to find each other.
Another wonderful addition to the series, and I’m already looking forward to whatever Chani gives us next!

I loved this soo much, Levi is definetly one of my favorites from this series, right after Baal! My only complaint with this book is that there is way, waaay, too much spice in here... I would've been happy with only half of them.
I don't normally tend to read romances that include one MC holding the other captive but I didn't mind it much in here! I read this whole book in less than 24h and thats only because I needed sleep and took some time to my other hobbies. I very much enjoyed Levi and Elm's banter and just overall how they interact with eachother, especially how protective they are of eachother too! I also really loved the character developement of Levi, he went from this stony ice cold personality to a cuddly (possessive) one and I was here for it!

Chani ABSOLUTELY outdid herself with this one. Definetly my favorite book from her.
I feel like this book have more emotional stability compared to the others (yes we're still on the obsessive trop) but regardless I felt like this was the healthiest regarding the emotional approach of the bond and it made me sooo happy!!
The spice was spicing, the L word was present (yes you heard me correctly, the L word was repeated AND only when the time was right, not before).
My only wish was for Elm and Sky to interact a little bit more at the end regarding Elm's situation and their friendship, but honestly that's just a minor detail : this book is perfect and I will not let anyone say otherwise.

It had me in a chokehold like every Chani's books. This is quite different - I've read the other books in the series but this tops all despite the rocky start of Levi and Elm 😭😭
Levi went from cold, unfeeling to falling first and harder for his treasure 😭😭 I want more domestic moments between them.
Levi's love was obsessive, possessive and twisted yet Elm welcomed everything. Well, Elm needed it after always feeling like a second choice 😭😭
And the smex scenes were over the moon 🔥

I can't explain how much I was looking forward to Levi and Elm's book, and the wait was totally worth it, as it has become my favorite in the series. It hooks you from the very first moment; it's super addictive, and the plot has been really interesting, too.
I couldn't love Levi and Elm more; they are definitely one of my favorite couples from all the books. I also really enjoyed the appearances of characters from the other books.
Looking forward to reading more of this series.

AMAZING!!!
I started this book at 11 am this morning and did basically nothing else till 3:30 pm. I love all of this author’s books but this one stands out. The burn is slowwww but the heat is HOT. If you need a good dark romance to quench your thirst this is it trust me. 100/10 I will be reading again. Her ability to write characters with emotional depth has always drawn me to her books and this one did not disappoint. Read it.

Punches definitely were not pulled here but it is what I expect of a Chani book. I really enjoyed the dark elements and that Levi was true to his nature even when he starting realizing his feelings. I really felt for Elm when he was trying to make sense of things even after everything was said and done. I am glad they got where they needed to be and then some. A beautiful and dark book as always!
