4.5 This launches a spinoff of the Princeless series, in which Princess Adrienne rescues the pirate princess Raven and gets dragooned into her plan to recover her kingdom from her scheming brothers. Light-hearted fun, most charming.

Got this as a freebie at ThoughtBubble 2014 and finally got around to reading it - it's immense fun and works really well as an intro to Raven. It's clear and fun and the art/layout is very dynamic, easy to read. Loved it.

Just more of that Princeless awesome. I love the addition of a badass asian pirate princess that leads to rivalry and teamwork with Princess Adrienne and giant sledgehammers and goofy dragon riding to battle evil kings and other assorted bad guys. My only criticism would be next time let's not call the fleeing men whiny little girls because that usage has such negative baggage, but that one comment is far, FAR outweighed by the positive message and sense of humor and bravado of these warrior women. I so wish there had been something like this when I was a little girl! Fighting stupidity, ineptitude, and sexism with equal vigor - these women are worthy superheroes. Fantastic!

Girls fighting together and apart and resolving their differences and kicking ass, plus awesome Feminist Dad at the beginning HELL YEAH. I love this series and will be collecting them for any future daughters/nieces/granddaughters/children walking by me on the street.
