Often referred to as "Space Cowboy" and "Gangsta of Love" while still striving for the moniker of "Maurice," Sean Michael spends his days surfing, smutting, organizing his immense gourd collection and fantasizing about one day retiring on a small secluded island peopled entirely by horseshoe crabs. While collecting vast amounts of vintage gay pulp novels and mood rings, Sean whiles away the hours between dropping the f-bomb and persuing the kama sutra by channeling the long lost spirit of John Wayne and singing along with the soundtrack to "Chicago."

A long-time writer of complicated haiku, currently Sean is attempting to learn the advanced arts of plate spinning and soap carving sex toys.

Barring any of that? He'll stick with writing his stories, thanks, and rubbing pretty bodies together to see if they spark.

This has been a fantastic series, and I was looking forward to reading this fourth super hot and emotionally charged volume about four toppy law enforcers who “draw straws” to determine who gets to be the bottom for their quarterly get-togethers in a cabin far away from civilization and their demanding jobs. But as much as I wanted to know how it all ends (warning: this review contains spoilers for the previous three stories, especially the previous one), I didn’t want it all to end. Tork, Erik, Joe, and Damon are wonderful guys, dominating and demanding, but also loving in their own macho, testosterone-driven way. Damon’s encounter with cancer has proven beyond the shadow of a doubt how much love there is between these four men, and how much they have each other’s backs.

Luckily, Damon’s therapy has worked, and this final “quarterly meeting” is focused on celebrating that fact, as well as focusing on the new life they have planned once they move into their new home – no more separate apartments for these guys. And what a celebration it turns out to be! As the title says, and as logic demands, Damon gets to be the bottom this time around. He has no problem with that plan, having fewer issues with submitting than the others, so there is no “fighting” about whether or not he will give in. Instead, the toys come out and are ever really put back in the bag the entire weekend. Things go from hot to hotter, and with the positive, celebratory atmosphere, this is a fantastically fun and highly erotic story.

If you're looking for tough cops finding ways to celebrate life and the love they share, if you enjoy stories with hot foursomes and lots of interesting toys, and if you're looking for a read that is not just incendiary but very touching, then you will probably like this short story as much as I did. I am certainly sorry the series has ended!

A great ending to the series. This time they are off for the weekend once again and it's so much better now that the Damon is well. They are getting ready to engage in a new whole new dynamic as they begin to move in together.

I’ve really enjoyed this series. It was wonderful to see Damon healthy again and getting his turn. This was exactly the HEA this series needed.

This was kind of boring.. we've done most of it (except sounds?) in the other books so not a lot of new ground. This is more 'oh lovey dovey you make my heart want to break I'm so happy your better' which is way off the beginning theme. Needing to let the stress go and blow off steam with like minded and safe partners.

I may be in the minority on this.. but that's going to be ok with me... BUT...
I never thought that this was supposed to end like all everyone together and happy and I love you times 3.

I know, not supposed to think beyond the we're living together with our guys motto and all that but for the (2?) workaholics on dayshift and with one moving to nights making two dayshift 2 nightshift guys.. when are they actually going to see each other? At times they had trouble getting to the cabin for a long weekend.. just saying. Ah well that's neither here nor there.

A nice ending to a good series

I was so happy to see the guys again. Damon making it through treatment and being able to laugh and enjoy life again was great to see. These guys deserved their happy ending, and I'm glad they got it.

I found it hard to keep the characters straight. I assume it's due to the shortness of each book in the series, but I found myself trying to remember who was whom. They were pretty much just about the sex.

Such a good ending to these books. They are all where they need to be. Want another though a bit further down the line to show how they are all doing.

I've enjoyed this series from the get go. as I enjoy all of Sean's stories. I hope that he'll consider writing one more now that the guys are together year round.
