Cypher Theorem #2

Earth was abandoned over a thousand years ago, and mankind now lives on its new home, Eden. Rebuilding life's necessities was a priority, but as time has moved on, the needs changed to wants. Humanity has built a society that has now surpassed Earth in many ways, but lacking in others.
Paradise Sailing has now completed the first cruise liner since before the wars on Earth started over 1200 years ago. Vernon Douglas, and his bride to be Marie have chosen the Navigator as not only their wedding venue, but the location for their honeymoon as well. This will be the maiden voyage for the Navigator, and a first for the people of Eden as they begin to venture out to the open oceans of Eden.
Vernon has just completed his Paladin training, and Marie has just complete college. The four long years apart did not sway their love for each other. Over the next seven days they venture close to the Viviana coastline, sailing the Granantic Ocean. Their destinations take them on a tour of the coastline through the virtual control of a drone, a newly built community on an island, and the manmade floating city of Aspiration.
Meet Vargas Mitchel, a friend of Vernon from the Paladin Academy. His first mission takes him aboard the same boat as his friend. Vargas, conflicted, wants to see his friend, but doesn't want him to become involved. His mission is to gather details of the location of a hidden city in the clouds called Freedom.
Did the time spent apart for Vernon and Marie change them?
Can Vargas keep his friend out of the mission, or will he be pulled in?

Q: What's so special about the Cypher Theorem Series?
A: It's a high technology society, that has magic everywhere. There is a device that each person wears from birth called a HaLO (Haptics, Linguistics, and Optics). It connects them to an altered reality network, where overlays are used to enhance everyday living. The main character Vernon Douglas is a regular kid on his last year of high school, and he dreams of becoming a Paladin, which is basically the prestige military group for the Astrum Government. The series is going to follow Vernon and his friends as they grow, and become part of society. Vernon is going to find out the special circumstances to his birth, and how that will affect humanity.
Q: What order should I read the books in?
A: The Zero Class

Q: Why should readers give this series a shot?
A: it's an action packed ride with a mixture of technology and magic, which I like to call magitech. There's fighting, spell casting, and some mystery thrown in for good measure. If you like any of that, you'll love the books.

My whole life I had a large imagination. When I played, with my Legos or running around outside with my friends, it wasn't just playing, I was in a different place or another world. I would dream up stories and settings, where I would normally be the lead, or at least be looking through their eyes.
Playing video games, mostly text based role playing games, was and in most cases still is a normalcy for the escape into some uncharted and untold world where adventure awaited, which fuels my own creations.
