REQUIEM is a haunting second-chance rockstar thriller romance about a spiraling rockstar, the woman he left behind, and the powerful forces that never truly let him go.
Jude Graves survived Alexei Morozov. But some horrors don’t end when the chains come off.
The months Jude spent in captivity left scars deeper than anyone can see. His sense of self is slipping, and his friends fear he may never be the same.
Emma Easton refuses to let him disappear. But rebuilding the man she loves means going to war with the monster who broke him. Alexei built his empire on murder, manipulation, and fear.
Surrounded by people who know how to wield weapons, Emma uses the only one she has to help bring Jude back:
Her mind.
But destroying Alexei’s empire could bury them all. And when he retaliates with one final act of devastation, Jude and Emma are forced into a final battle against the darkness that nearly destroyed them both.
Because this time, they aren’t fighting just to survive. They’re fighting to take everything back.
Escaping the darkness was never the end of Jude’s story.
THE CROWNED MONSTERS DUET is my debut work as a dark romance author. It has since been re-released with updates and corrections.
THE FALLING STAR TRILOGY is a dark rockstar romance with thriller elements.
I'm Adeline and I'm a 31 year old dark romance author who started out writing spice-heavy work (CMD), then soon pivoted to more emotionally heavy work (FST). My work is ever-growing as I continue to hone my craft and figure out what kind of writing resonates best. You’re on this journey with me, so thank you!
When I'm not writing morally ambiguous characters, I’m living a quiet and adventurous life in the US with my husband and cats.
I am forever grateful for everyone who has picked up my stories and given them a chance. Thank you so much for supporting me on this incredible journey. Little me would be so proud to say that she will one day be a published author after scribbling in her notebooks for years.
CALLING ALL MY DARK ROMANCE BABES…JUST SHUT UP AND READ THIS IMMEDIATELY I BEG YOU 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
We were dragged thru the fucking trenches to get this HEA and I loved every minute. These characters are tied to my heart and I am incapable of letting them go. Excuse me while I go look up fan art and scream cry for days
I am so happy they got their happy ending and they found healing. I was a bit scared there about 80% in because so much happened back to back. I cant wait to read about the other characters!
Wow I am so disappointed I didn’t like this. It’s actually my least favorite of all three.
It went nowhere I assumed it would even for a second. The FMC reads absolute doormat. I get that you love him and he’s fucked up but it’s okay to have the tiniest bit of self preservation. I expected some groveling, some accountability, anything. Don’t get me wrong I actually really liked Jude but him and Emma, I absolutely don’t see it.
The plot was extremely slow moving I feel like nothing was happening for most of the time and honestly the multiple POVs took me out of the story even further.
Very sad about this one but I’m happy for the people who filled their EOD hole with it. I’ll keep looking.
WOW! Such a long journey. I can’t believe I just finished this even tho I don’t want to because I ADORE THEM 🥺🥺 This is my GOD TIER LIST OF 2026 Jude and Emma will be forever hold a piece in my heart. I’m going to miss them including the side characters! PLEASE READ THIS TRILOGY IF YOU WANT ALL THE EMOTIONAL FEEL!!
Whew.. ok I’m ready.. this is my final of the whole series.
What started out as a rockstar romance read, turned into one of the craziest stories I’ve read in a long time. The MMC got caught up with the starlight of promises, but was sucked into a web of deceit, lies, and blackmail. He walked away from the security he knew and ended up trapped in a world that was dark and sinister. More times than I can count, did he want it all to end, in the most heartbreaking way. The fight to daylight was fading. He was always consumed by darkness. The story took me for a ride into the other side of being trapped in a cage three times too small. I’m still not sure where I sit with my emotions with this, but I certainly didn’t hate it. It was a haunting story that will stay with me I’m sure for quite a while.
Form: 📱ebook on phone Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Trope: Friends to Lovers, Broken MMC Angst: 😩.5 Spice: 🔥 Recommend: 4.5
If you’ve made it this far in the trilogy this is where the healing happens. But you’re gonna work for it. But it’s worth it. The whole series is infinity stars
I wanted a longer epilogueeee! Jude and Emma have gone through so much that they FINALLY have the life they deserve together. I love that Adeline gave us the redemption arc that was needed. This was the best way to end the trilogy and I’m so relieved and happy that all four of them are safe and together. But I really want to read more of how their life is years from then and if they have a baby to name Rose 💔
oh wow, this book is..i’m at a loss for words really
the journey that Jude an Emma go through is an emotional roller coaster, one moment everything is fine and the next everything goes to shit Jude’s slowly coming out of all the physical and emotional abuse he endured is incredible, how he held one despite his mind telling him no, how hard he fought for the ones he loved, he is truly an incredible character.
And Emma? Emma is the strongest person, all she did and endured so he would be okay? It is hard to find someone that strong and patient, she is exactly what Jude needed, she is truly admirable and incredible, i truly admire her
Oh..Adriana, i truly don’t know how to feel about her. I do think that she truly regretted what she did, i understand that she suffered and it wasn’t fair, how her dreams were taken away from her. I’m glad that Jude could find it in his heart to forgive her, not for her, but for him, so he could be in peace.
Adela and Rafe were incredible, at first i thought they wouldn’t help them, and the fact that they did, without expecting anything in return made me love them more.
One thing is that i would have loved to have Heather’s POV, like we got them from all the characters except for her. I love her so much, like she truly is an incredible friend, leaving her safe life, risking to endanger herself because she knew how much Jude meant to Emma, talk about a true friend
Jude and Micah’s friendship was so beautiful. How hard they fought to protect and fight for each other, no mather who or where they were, their bond was strong, they never gave up on the other. This is truly and incredible book, it feels as like you’re going through the journey with them, feeling the same emotions as them. It’s heartbreaking but also healing. It shows that no matter the pain, no matter the situation, it can always get better, you can always get out, find happiness, find forgiveness for others and for yourself, that love is beautiful and healing.
Wow, wow, wow!!! This series, this book 😭 so many emotions. What a way to end this trilogy 🖤
Jude Graves. JUDE frkn Graves 😭
This book was harder for me to get through than book 1 & 2. The emotional trauma and healing journey was an uphill battle for not just Jude, but Emma too. It was heartbreakingly beautiful to watch them navigate both individually and together on this painful journey.
I truly loved Emma’s grit and determination in her steadfast love for Jude. She never wavered. Not once. Not only that but she changed from an innocent woman to a fierce and brave warrior for the ones she loved. Her character development throughout the series was inspiring to read.
Jude 😭 I love this man. This poor broken boy. He fought so hard. I loved his pure, raw will to just survive.
Micah, Heather, Rafe and Adela.. fantastic characters! I’m definitely going to be reading Rafe’s book soon. Micha and Heather, I adore them. Especially Micah. His bond with Jude was so special. I’m really hoping to get more of Micah’s story…?? Maybe?
The real surprise for me was Adriana. I don’t want to give spoilers but, wow! Talk about emotional!
The overall experience in book 3 was an emotional roller coaster with a few twists that gave my heart whiplash😭 I laughed a little, cried a lot, grieved, cheered for them, and cried some more.
Adeline’s writing is beautiful. Although this series and especially this book was painful to read, it was real and raw and a beautiful story of hope. I will never forget these characters and their story 🥺
Huge thanks to author Adeline Humphries for this early read 🫶🏻
• Dissonance • Resonance • Requiem releases 6/20

Tropes: 🖤 dark romance 🖤 emotional healing 🖤 second chance 🖤 found family 🖤 trauma recovery 🖤 happily ever after
“People survive because of each other. Sometimes love is the only thing standing between someone and the edge.”
If you’re a dark romance lover and you love your heart being ripped out and put back together, read this trilogy. Book 3 contains brain re programming. Recovery from trauma, addiction a lot of love and healing.
This is the one that was needed to fix my broken heart after reading the first two books. I needed a HEA. Yess i went through even more heartbreak and i wasn’t sure which characters would make it out alive. There was so much going on in this one. But i got the ending i needed to heal me. This trilogy was heartbreaking and it will keep you in emotional devastation throughout the whole series. Jude and Emma’s love was unbreakable despite all the odds against them they found their way back to each other. 🫶 Adriana i still couldn’t forgive her despite her pov and what she did to save the group. I just can’t with her.
The ending where the band took to the stage after everything i felt like i was there feeling all Jude and Mikha’s emotions all the pain, suffering and devastation but also the happiness and shock that they both survived it all. It was a moment that will stick with me forever.
I’m sad this series has ended i could have read more and would love a little novella to see how they are doing. loved all the side characters and can’t wait for Mikha’s story. He was such a strong character throughout this entire series.
“ I was never falling away from her. I was just finding my way home.”
Must be read in order and please check your trigger warnings there are a lot and does contain a big amount of drug misuse including opioids and heroine.
This book took me through it, like truly every emotion. I sobbed so many times, because I just loved these characters and having to see them go through so much — was so fucking brutal.
✨ this is a fucking masterpiece. Infinity star series ✨
I am obsessed with Jude. But my heart hurt for him so bad throughout these books, but mainly this one. Really seeing into his head, hearing his thoughts and reliving some of the shit he was dealt was hard. My poor baby I just wanted to hug him. I cried to the book gods begging them to let you be happy & then I sobbed even more watching you get your happiness 🥹
Emma, my heart. The definition of never giving up on someone you love. My girl went through so much but stood by Jude’s side, scared but still fighting. She risked so much, and couldn’t give a fuck — as long as she had her man 😭 I seriously loved her character development over the 3 books, she really was a breath of fresh air.
Micah and Heather, ugh my babies. When I tell you I was panicking several times over Micah I mean that 🤣 him and Jude’s friendship is what makes the book even more special. Everyone deserves a friendship like that. And they got the life they’ve always deserved.
I will be going back to read Rafe & Adela’s books becuase I just love them so much.
I’m sad that this series is over, but I’m excited to see what else is to come . JUST READ THE TRILOGY — it will change you . In the best way possible 😭🥹✨
What a wild and terrifyingly haunting story. The falling star trilogy had me in a chokehold for the entire time. While Dissonance was my least favorite in the series, and Resonance I rated 5 🌟, this last book just made everything come together. I'm rating it 4.5 🌟. Jude is such a gentle and beautiful soul. While I was frustrated with him half the time, the author made me understand him in this last book. I see u Jude Graves. I see u. Adriana got her redemption arc in this book for sure. By the end of the book, u will forgive her and still be angry at her. Which just proves what a good writer this is. Emma I think I finally get, this book redeemed her a little more to me, I never connected with her character till the end of this book. I bloody loved Micah..! Wish him only good things. The last 150 pages of this book was a slow read but it was necessary and beautifully written. What I mean by necessary is that the author went through every plot point very methodically. It was EXTREMELY realistic in its depiction of trauma and grieve and anxiety and dealing with surviving. I wanted it to be burn the world down manicness but what I got was a beautifully thought our put together story. Perfection. Where I wanted disbelieve, I got real storytelling, almost like the author put me through therapy. Chefs kiss 💋
I finished Requiem the other night…sat & stared at the ceiling with a pile of wet Kleenex in my lap 😭 I haven’t felt an ounce of the emotions I felt with this series, the attachment to characters, the hate for the villains, or the love for a book couple since The Edge of Darkness trilogy. This series gave me that high I’ve been chasing since I read TEOD.
This final book in the trilogy picks up right after the events of Resonance & the first paragraph alone had me sobbing. The absolute soul crushing love that Jude & Emma have for each other is something that I can’t put into words. All of the supporting characters were pure gold!! The way she wrote this book had me feeling everything Jude went through in the depths of my DNA. Even down to the change to italic words & sentences had me shifting the way I read it & felt it. The POVs from Micah & Adriana came just at the right times. The way the author detailed everything had me seeing it all play out in my mind like a movie & THAT’S how I know it’s damn good writing!
I will not be discussing the actual plot since this is the final book & they all need to be read in order but be prepared for me to NEVER shut up about this series because I want to be buried with it.
🙌🏻 FVCKING PERFECTION. NOTHING NEGATIVE TO SAY. NOT A SINGLE THING.
I will now be going back to read Rafe & Adela’s story. And I cannot wait to see what else Adeline will be giving us!
the way I made sure to read this book so slow because I refused for it to be finished 😭but all good things come to an end so here I am y’all. Jude and Emma have my entire heart 😭✨
GOD TIER SERIES!!! literally every book, 6 stars, the storyline, the representation for addicts and anyone who’s ever loved one or even has seen someone suffer from addiction. This book tore me up and very slowly but beautifully taped me back together. The sob I let out when I went to turn the page to be hit with a love note from the author 😭🥺 truly never wanted to say goodbye to these characters but I’m so happy they got their happy ending and we were able to see their healing process both the good and the bad parts.
Adeline is a hidden gem and I need EVERYONE to be talking about these books. I see so many comparisons to the edge of darkness and I think this book also stood out immensely in its own way that separates the two and it was refreshing to read something that sometimes is frowns upon or looked at negatively without it being overshadowed by everything else going on in the story, and without getting watered down for the sake of making people comfortable or romantazing stuff🥺✨
also….im down bad and this book touched me in a way I can’t express so like I think I should get a tattoo for jude fr🥺🤔
TW: This series is incredibly special to my heart, but it’s also extremely dark. Please check the trigger warnings before reading. ❤️🩹
This was one of the most heartbreaking, emotionally heavy stories I’ve read so far & the closest I’ve found to the Edge of Darkness series.
It follows Emma and Jude as they navigate trauma, heartbreak, and finding their way back to each other. I found myself constantly reminding myself that some stories really do have to get worse before they can get better. (At times I had to put the books down because my heart hurt for them)
After all three books, every moment, even the bad ones made their journey feel so worth it. A genuinely raw, unforgettable story of survival & healing. An easy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ series that I’ll be thinking about for a long time 🖤
Thank you to the author & her team for allowing me to be an ARC reader 🩷 this Trilogy has my whole heart!!
I fell in love with these characters from book 1 and it only got better as it went on. This book was emotional and hard to read but so worth the pain 😭
I actually felt mixed feelings about a certain character & still thinking about them now the next day🥲 these characters will stay with me forever !!!
Jude’s song!!! Him & Emma will forever hold a place in my heart! Even the side characters.. everything is just perfection x blondie 😚😚
If you want to be hurt & put through all the emotions… read this trilogy!!
wow.. this was such a great ending to this trilogy! if you saw my last review you’ll know that book 2 reminded me too much of TEOD but this book honestly felt like more of Emma & Jude’s story. like i didn’t constantly think of TEOD. there is so much that happens in this book like i don’t even know what to say. i enjoyed it a lot and i may or may not have shed some tears.
we were dragged through and back in this series and this HEA was hard earned. i’m just glad we got a HEA. i was worried 😂 Jude & emma definitely deserve it! Micah & Heather do too.
Finally we got somewhere. I don't regret reading this trilogy just for this one. This is by far my favorite of the 3. It was heartbreaking, beautiful, pulled on my heartstrings. I loved that we got multiple pov and not just Emma and Jude. The only thing is that Micah mentions that no one knows why he started using so I thought we would eventually know why but the author never mentions it after. Maybe he will get is own book?!!!
this is very much not something i usually read,, i was sick in bed and picked this series up by accident and im not gonna lie and say i didnt enjoy it LOL is this the best thing ive read? no is it groundbreakingly original? also no could it have benefited from more editing and planning? absolutely did i however devour this entire series in under 48 hours? yes, yes i did 🙂↕️
genuinely read every one of these books in one sitting each i dont even know how that happened props to the author for making a non romance girl clench her toes in anticipation lmfaoooo
I went into this barely holding it together after book 2.
Book 3 starts with this terrifying hope. It is fragile and I was so anxious. This book in the series is hard in the "hope is scary" kind of way. You see character growth and work and struggles. It's understanding things and emotions you don't necessarily want to.
It was hard to read but so absolutely worth it. My feelings on characters changed even though I actively fought it.
This part of the story was done to perfection. My thought after finishing this book was just the absolute beauty of the ending the author had written. It's not perfect, it's not entirely what you expect but I loved it so so much. I cried, again throughout this book.
This series was phenomenal and quickly became one of my all time favorites I have read. But it is dark, and has a ton of trigger warnings so please check those.
What an emotional roller coaster. The way this third book completely shatters your heart and puts it back together 🥲 this was a perfect way to end such an incredible trilogy. These characters will live rent free in my head forever 😭 I don’t know if I’ll ever recover.
6 stars. This series is the first series to make me feel the way I did after reading the Edge of Darkness trilogy which is my favorite series of all time. It is a story that puts you through emotional hell, but the journey is absolutely beautiful. I will think about these 3 books for the rest of my life.
OMG, Dark romance girls pick this serious up immediately 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The amount of things Jude had to go through is an emotional heavy dark ride. The love, loss pain, sacrifices and survival is intense. Highly recommend this series. You won't be able to put it down.
