The endings are killing me

I want really really good endings with unicorns and rainbows, and princes and princesses living together happy and shiny and not this. Yeah they got back together, yeah they had sex, but it was so un-rainbowy. And there were definitely no unicorns. Bummer. I wanted to see his Mother and his girlfriend living in a trailer, in a swamp, miserable and broken. But we don't see any consequences. I just wanted more. And I hated that he put that skank first and went back in the bedroom with her at the winter suite. Why did his mom take the cufflinks. That was just creepy. What did they do in that room. He said nothing but I have heard that line before and it was a lie. I never trust anyone anymore. Its kind of sad. I liked her friend the best! She was funny and so protective of the heroine. It was sweet.

it was a repeat

I read 2 books back to back and by different authors. Both books had the exact same story. The constraints they followed in how they reacted and logged every interaction was ridiculous. In my open it was not believable.

The wife, he locked out: marriage-in-crisis grovel romance

I enjoyed reading this novel. The book focus on a couple that had communication and complicated issue. The mother-in-law and former girlfriend added to the difficulty of a married couple. The ending was interesting and heartwarming.

Good premise, no delivery

This story was a great premise. It was not delivered well. There were grammatical errors that drove to complete distraction. There was change in person. Dorian was 3rd person, Verity was 1st person. And at times the narrative was changed in the same paragraph from 3rd person to 1st person and visa versa. There was BBS that made no sense at all. And Rowan went from being her attorney to her doctor, in the same chapter. There was never any true comeuppance for the mother-in-law or Odette. His contradiction report was so completely mild. It left much to be desired. Great premise, horrible delivery.

Billionaire with mommie issues being circled by OW wanna be and a pregnant wife who is fed up. If I had to have a locking code with a personal password on my bedroom door IN MY HOME...what does that say about trust, safety, love, family. Why are so many billionaires so clueless in recognizing their manipulative, ultra controlling mothers and showing a preferance for vampish, shallow wanna-be OWs whose only recommendation is that she is approved by his mother (this should be a red flag the size of Texas).

Cannot imagine living with this degree of 'documentation' of everything, everywhere, in triplicate through 14,342 layers of security.

meh

The writing was below average. The chapter flip-flopped as to who’s POV. Many cheaters started as his POV and then suddenly switched to his. The occupation of characters changed midway through the story. While the FMC was betrayed, I think her response was OTT with how she treated him.

Verity and Dorian

The last thing Verity expected after returning from hospital after a scare with her pregnancy, was to find herself locked out from her own bedroom and find her husband's ex fiance, installed in there.
What comes next is Dorian grovelling for the wife that didn't felt safe with him. Good read though a bit dry. Mechanical. Recommended

BORING, CLICHE'D, JUST LIKE THE Others DNF

Too few redeeming values to override my natural curiosity. Long arduous boring journey to 35% and I didn't care even the tiniest bit about what happens.

Dorian and Verity

Regrets, Remorse, Pain, and Forgiveness. A very thoughtful novel of a marriage in crisis but ultimately a new marriage from the ashes. This is Dorian's and Verity's love and marriage story.

Could have been a decent story
No one actually talks like this, it’s all one liners, quips and random statements that no one actually uses in real conversation.

ai slop

It doesn’t even make sense. Avoid this rubbish. Who has a code on their bedroom door that can be changed? Definitely did not finish

It’s written differently than most books I’ve read. I enjoyed much of the story but was somewhat disappointed in the villains punishment. The grovel was almost too much but I think our MMC finally learned something. It was a very slow reconciliation.
