Always a treat when Sandi releases a new book, especially when it’s unexpected. Not only that, it came sooner than I thought it would. All through the book I enjoyed it and was vibing with it. The banter was great, comments were funny and Samantha made me enjoy English again and I wish it was taught to me the way she did it. It was lighthearted and had good spice. However, I think Sandi jumped the gun with ending the book technically at the 68% mark and it didn’t feel like much of a fight for Weston to get her back which was kind of anticlimactic. I also felt like there could have been a bit more passion and intensity between Weston and Samantha. Then when you think the book wraps up, it drags it out unnecessarily for about 5 chapters. All of that combined had me give this book a 4. I enjoy Sandi’s books but sometimes it’s best to just end it sooner rather than later. Did we really need to include Zoey leaving off to college or introduce her run in with her biological father? Only to have him disappear again? It just seemed pointless. You know Zoey’s not going to want to make amends with him, especially with how he left things with Samantha. To me it felt forced and not natural, like Sandi wanted to keep writing more of the book but didn’t know how to wrap it up. Then, to include the birth of Samantha and Weston’s daughter and not the wedding between Samantha and Weston just felt off. To top it off, then to have her get pregnant again? Was that necessary? I just felt like there was extra information we didn’t need. I’ve noticed Sandi tends to do this in stories and I don’t know if it’s because she wants to include closure? Or have an outcome that doesn’t leave open ended questions? Sometimes those questions are good. Let us as the reader imagine what could happen next and sometimes it’s better to just leave things as they are. When you combine all that, you get a 4 from me. The extra chapters felt unnecessary and it would have been nice if Samantha made Weston sweat more to get her back or even add more spice and steam.

It was a fun, lighthearted read with witty banter, great chemistry, and plenty of spice. Samantha was a standout FMC; a strong, outspoken single mom and teacher who wasn't afraid to challenge people or speak her mind. Zoey absolutely stole every scene she was in, and I loved how protective she was of her mom.
Weston started off as the typical emotionally unavailable billionaire whose life revolved around work but watching him slowly fall for Samantha and Zoey was genuinely enjoyable. Their chemistry was undeniable, and I had a great time with their relationship for most of the book.
My biggest issue was the ending. The main conflict wrapped up around the 70% mark, and Weston didn't have to work nearly hard enough to win Samantha back after breaking her heart. I wanted more groveling, more emotional payoff. Instead, the story continued with several epilogue-like chapters that felt unnecessary. While I appreciate getting closure, I thought Zoey's biological father subplot, another pregnancy and skipping the wedding in favor of other milestones made the ending drag more than it needed to.
Overall, this was another entertaining Sandi romance. It follows a familiar formula, but it's one she writes well. If you enjoy sweet, funny billionaire romances with a lovable single mom, a swoony hero, and a scene-stealing teenage daughter, this is an easy recommendation.

A great read
This book is exactly the reason I love this author. Her series are great and her standalones are thorough, you get a feel for the character, you are drawn into the story and there's nothing to question at the end. That's exactly how I like my books.
Weston Castile is a very serious billionaire, his work is everything to him. He's not a player as such but he has no intentions of finding someone to share is job, house or even long-term time with.
Sam has just dumped her last boyfriend because he cheated on her, this has left her feeling venerable and off men forever. It's just her and her daughter Zoey from now on. Well that was the plan!
Unfortunately Zoey has other plans, she sets her up for the blind auction, the auction that has been arranged to restore Westons reputation. If course he bids on her, if course he wins.
This is the start of something special for them both but will they act on their feelings? will Weston re write his rule book? Can he open up and let Sam in?
Well you'll have to read the book to find out, you won't be disappointed.

Typical billionaire with relationship issues
It was a good story, despite the typos, bad editing. Sandi tends to use the same formula with her stories. They're entertaining, a good laugh. I like Samantha. A strong single mother who's not afraid to speak her mind or dare her class to think outside the box. To use their brains and actually read and form constructive opinions. That's the best part. Then it's the usual, man & woman meet unexpectedly on a blind date. They go on a date so he can save his reputation. They fall into bed, he catches a feeling and don't know what to do with it, she falls in love, but knows he has issues. They date until he discovers he can't deal with his feelings and breaks it off leaving her hurt and mad. Same old story. Sam's daughter Zoey is a hoot and like her mom she speaks her mom, and then there's Weston's bitchy grandmom, no words her, she needs a man. It's an entertaining story

What a cute standalone. Wes is cold and jaded. His reputation needs a refresh.
He runs into a snarky single mom ( English Lit teacher) in a coffee shop.
Then, his PR person forces him to do a promotion for the High School his grandfather loved. There’s an auction to raise funds for the school programs and the snarky teacher is there. When he bids an astronomical amount for a single date, it starts the love story.
Typical Sandi Lynn hero, commitment phobe, heartbreaker. But he falls first.
I loved the literary references.
But mostly, I loved Samantha’s teenage daughter, Zoey. She was a trip.

What a totally enthralling, endearing , enchanting story. All characters occupy your mind vividly whilst your reading. Wes is charming and not the vice king you believe, and Sam is a teacher I would loved to have had whilst at school. Cory although a teenager is so mature, funny and bith supportive and needs support. The actually story had a delightful HEA , and runs along so smoothly between all the characters. There are times when you think you know what’s coming , but you are oh so wrong. A fabulous well written book. A few minorcerrors when edited but doesn’t spoil the story at all. Great to escape into the print and live in a glorious bubble.

only Sandi Lynn can have you fall in love with the most arrogant egotistical jerk in the world. Weston was a billionaire and the thought of falling in love with a high school English Lit teacher, better yet even falling in love you had a better chance at hitting the lottery. But as time went on you fell in love with Weston and of course Zoey, Samantha's 16 year old daughter. She gave him a run for the money. I loved all their interactions. I could not put this one down. Well done once again Sandi Lynn.

A good storyline that kept me interested, but I felt it lacked a bit of depth. It all seemed to move quite quickly, so I didn’t connect to the characters or their relationships as I wanted to. Overall, it was an enjoyable and easy read though from midway I found myself skimming the pages. I think it could have benefited from slowing down and developing the story and characters a little more and more build up to the MCs relationship.

Please let’s not forget her incredible students, Devon forever putting a smile on my face. The story was so good to me I didn’t want it to end, I need more. Zoey to college perhaps. Just a thought best friend Finn and Greta. Just make sure Weston and Sam are in.

This book seemed like it was written by a debut author. For example we have a heading 'two weeks later'. Why not write something like 'the class had been going well for the past two weeks '?
I also was not impressed that this MMC seems to be "different" after sex with the FMC that he's known for half a day. Maybe if this was a shifter fated mates book, but he's supposed to be a hardened playboy.
I need more reasons or build up

Sweet Read!!
This was a cute/sweet romcom like read. I loved the relationship that Sam and her daughter Zoey had. Then throw Weston in the mix, and you have a perfect family. I even enjoyed Sam’s style of teaching. Her students were very entertaining lol.
Overall Blind Date was a feel good read that will have you smiling a lot and will pull at your heartstrings!! I give it two thumbs up!!!

This is a quick read. It is filled with a teenager with snarky comments that will have you laughing. This romance is one of a workaholic CEO raised with all advantages but real love. Meet an English literature teacher teaching high school kids about all the Jane Austin characters. That is even more hilarious.

Perfect!!
Wes was rich and acted like he was entitled. Samantha didn't like him the first time she saw him and she let him know exactly what she thought about him. The next time they saw each other she had to go on a date with him for a high school charity. They both never thought they'd start having feelings for each other.

Sandi's characters always amaze me. This story is no different. A school teacher with a sixteen year old daughter and a CEO. The daughter makes sure her mom is treated right from the beginning. After she signs her up for the blind date. I wish I had Sam for a teacher for English Lit, it would have been more interesting.

This book brought back my high school English teacher and that I wished Sam’s character would have been my teacher. This book held my attention and had romance, tears (good and bad ) and laughter. Sandi Lynn is a great writer. Please read this book or any of her books!📕

DNF..I couldn't finish this. This was so bad. Having the FMC be an English teacher and the book having so many editing errors...I was second hand embarrassed reading.
The plot had hope, but it wasn't enough for me to keep reading with how bad the writing was. Choppy, no flow.

Great romance
Love the storyline here - have always been a fan of Jane Austen and other literary greats so having the storyline use the men of literature as identifiers for behaviours (nice and not so nice) made for a great read. Hope there’s a sequel.

I loved this book, from the moment Weston and his ex had a public fight on the street to the shaky moment when Zoe entered Samantha in the auction. And then came the first date, and another all the funny moments to her saving the bakery this book is a must read in my book

I enjoyed the first part of the book, how Wes & Samantha met each other. Zoey got to be too much & the whole dress shopping thing didn’t add much to the story . Also the part with Zoey’s bio dad was rushed, not needed for this book tbh.
