1. This book is biography of Jane Goodall. It is very informative and tells us facts about Jane's life. It ells us how she got interested in chimps as well as where all she traveled to. This book includes a glossary and a time line of her life.
2. I would say this book would suit 3rd-5th graders. It has some advanced words so it would be a independent reader lexile. It has an average interest level.
3. This book could be used for students to learn more about Jane Goodall. They could reference this book if they were doing a research paper on her life. It could be used in science class.
4. A student who is interested in chimps would like this book, or a student who likes animals would enjoy it as well.
5. This book could be used in a small group. You could have 4 different small groups read a book like this one on different people and have each group present what they learned.
6. I would not recommend this book for a read-aloud. However, if it fit in a lesson plan you have created it could work as a read aloud.
7. Some related books are Who Was Jane Goodall, and My Life with Chimpanzees.
