All Jobs and Classes! I Just Wanted One Skill, Not Them All! #8

All Jobs and Classes! I Just Wanted One Skill, Not Them All! (LITRPG/EPIC PROGRESSION): Book VIII

Rate this book
After dealing with the troublesome guilds and reminding far too many people why frontier claims are not decided by loud mouths, Ludger finally has room to breathe.

Naturally, that lasts about as long as common sense usually does around him.

Lucius has disappeared.

No warning. No clear trail. No convenient explanation left behind for once. Just enough signs to prove that his disappearance was not accidental, and just enough silence to make every possibility worse.

He leaves incognito.

With Viola and Luna at his side, Ludger slips away from Lionfang following scraps of information, old rumors, and the kind of half-buried trails that usually lead to either answers or corpses.

The search takes them beyond familiar territory and into the remains of something older than any of them expected. Past a labyrinth that should have been forgotten, Ludger discovers the ruins of an abandoned civilization.

But the trip is not completely wasted. Hidden within the ruins, Ludger finds a source of water rich in mana, pure enough and abundant enough to become a major resource for the Lionsguard.

While chasing more leads and searching for additional resources in forgotten labyrinths scattered across the sea, Ludger stumbles into a problem that makes pirates, guild politics, and arrogant nobles feel almost refreshingly simple.

A sapient labyrinth guardian.

The sea soon proves just as troublesome as the land.

OK, story, but nothing really seems to get accomplished.

I just don’t buy this series, the MC is 12 years old and is able to accomplish this much. I know he’s a regressor, but he doesn’t seem to be using a lot of his skills from his previous life. He makes plans upon plans, but doesn’t seem to get any of them concluded, he seems to be just treading water. He got his guild started, but all the other plans seem to be going by the wayside because he has to go off and handle this or that, maybe the story needs some time jumps, so the MC can accomplish some things to make his guild grow and thrive. He seems to be running from place to place, trying to put out fires and nothing ever gets accomplished. In these last several books, what skills or classes does he achieve? I like the side characters, especially Luna and Viola. as well as Kayla. The rest, in my opinion, are just filler, a mom who is mysterious, who everyone seems to be afraid of for what reason I can’t figure out. A dad who really doesn’t do anything after the first several books. Other characters who lay about and don’t do much of anything, but just fill up pages. Another thing, the RPG with no assignment of stats, no storage devices to carry major essentials like soap, these got to be the funkiest characters in a series I’ve read in a long time? Nobody takes baths in this world

Just how strong can Ludger get?!?

How do I describe Ludger, a thirteen year old, a loving son, a brother, maniacal, a genius, a monster, they all fit! Or maybe he's just a boy with the memories of an old man, hum... Ludger decides to make an outing to train the new recruits. While he explores an unknown spider labyrinth. It'll be hard but needful field training for the LionGuard recruits. And a way for everyone to level including himself. But his planing runs into a snag when Viola comes to him looking for help... the noble Lucius has vanished without a trace, and she wants Ludger to find him. No worries, plans can change, and Ludger decides to incorporate all of 'em into one longer training session, including the side excursion!!!
So yeah grab this litRPG and be ready for pulse-pounding action adventure!

Here's a couple three quotes:

“That’s not democracy. That’s theft with a smile.”

"Because froststeel weapons forged by Raukor were already turning into stories. Not just gear. Legend material."

"And for the first time, the white spider looked less like an ambush predator…and more like something that had just volunteered to be dissected."

We need this on streaming!

With every book release, I get deeper into this series. I want This rant t-shirt with the title on it. I want the big fanfare when the next book is about to go live on Kindle, or at least a countdown page. I want people to know about this series and feel the excitement of finding the next chapter has been released at 12 am and still start reading, even though I have to get up at 6am for work. If this was a tv show it would be must see TV. this rant feels like fever dream but this book is a must read for me. Read this series and join the Lionfangs.

great series

I am so glad I started reading this series. It is a new genre of fiction for me, so I am happy there is a sold storyline. It is well written and I will be continuing with the remainder of the books.
