Before you make any snap judgements about whether you would read this book by seeing the title and cover, consider the following. Is it a story about an Amish romance? Yes, but is so much more. A Cup Refilled by Sarah Price weaves a tale of great depth and complexity. There is not just a plot of a middle aged romance. She also attacks the subjects of adult bullying and gossip, respect of authority, integrity, cultural values, and spirituality. Assumptions of someone’s character can be detrimental to their life in a community. The characters of Wayne and Rosanna handle these rumors with dignity and grace while navigating their mutual feelings and standing among their friends and families. Sarah creates characters of such interest and depth that you can’t help but be empathetic. Her knowledge of the Amish culture is evident in her descriptions of not only everyday life but also their moral code. If you crave authenticity in this AI filled world that we are experiencing then this novel fulfills that. Newly elected Bishop Detweiler has his hands full with negotiating members’ hurt feelings and accusations, and in the end settles all with the spiritual wisdom of an ancient sage. Sarah’s infusion of Christian compassion and conviction comes through loud and clear in the bishop’s final speech to the congregation. Read with an open mind and heart to discover an author who is critically underrated.

Sarah has done it again
I love that the books Sarah Price writes always seems to put me right into the middle of the story. There are so many times I'm thinking what will happen next. Rosanna has already been through so much with her deceased husbands. That she has learned to be what either husband expected her to be at any given moment. Wayne on the other hand allowed her to be herself and talk things out. Wayne taught Rosanna that she didn't need to be bullied by anyone. Rosanna learned not every man was like what she previously dealt with. Wayne and the new bishop also taught Rosanna not to believe everything she hears and in time things can be fixed. If you like Amish novels you'll love An Empty Cup and A cup Refilled.

What an eloquently crafted story of faith, forgiveness, and healing—and the power of the tongue to bring down and destroy or to lift up and encourage.
Rosanna Troyer is resigned to quietly live the typical life of an Amish widow with grown children . . . to work the farm, and faithfully attend church. But when one judgmental woman starts causing dissention in Rosanna's Amish community, she has a choice to remain silent or stand up for her beliefs. I loved Rosanna's humble, kind nature—but it was wonderful to see her finally find her voice—and mayhaps a sweet romance along the way!
In A Cup Refilled we can all take away a valuable lesson concerning gossip and making assumptions. Welcome back, Sarah Price!!

She’s back! Sarah Price took a sabbatical from writing but her upcoming release of “A Cup Refilled” is awesome. Her unique writing style is something you do not want to miss. It includes: a character to love, someone to dislike, and some tough lessons. All of which make this book one that I enjoyed from beginning to end. Through careful and thorough character development, knowledge of the Amish culture and theology her delivery leaves you wanting more. I strongly recommend this book for its lessons lived and learned.

Loved the refill!
Again, a beautiful story that only Sarah Price could write! This story is filled with so much character experience---with real life problems that we all face. Amish families are not exempted from real life situations, but leaning on their faith shows how life can be filled with peace. Keep writing, Sarah!
