First seen in the pages of the final book of The Black Irish Chronicles, IN THE COUNTRY OF THE BLIND Dark Molly now appears in her own book THE END OF THE BEGINNING. Andrea Doyle is a failed White Adept kidnapped by a Master Vampire and his coven of Dark Adepts. She is tortured, experimented on, violated in countless ways and finally turned by the Master Vampire. He then discards her as a failed experiment. The trauma of what was done to her has unleashed a dark aspect of her personality that calls itself Dark Molly. Dark Molly begins a rampage of revenge moving up the food chain all the way to the Master Vampire who created her. Strap in horror fans...it is going to be a wild ride!
C.S Anderson has been writing stories since he could form written words, his lastest book is BLACK IRISH which is also his first vampire novel. Check it out it is available as both a kindle download and as a trade paperback on amazon.com
Dark Molly is one bad-ass bitch! Perfect for Halloween and any other all-black occasion!
She's the twisted, psychotic alter ego of Andrea Doyle, politely declined by the Light order of magicians for having some sort of discord in her aura. Rejected and alone, she is swiftly captured by a master vampire, who turns her into one of his kind, seeking to create a vampire who can also wield magic, something that has never happened before. Alas, Andrea is a failure there, too.
Her dark twin, Molly, however.... Now that's another, and very bloody, story.
Anderson - this would have been 5 stars, BUT - get thee an editor, man!
The only thing that totally sucks about this...(aside from the vampires)
...is that it ended! Now I'm left here panting and wanting more. For the love of all things unholy, when will book two come out?!? Black Irish was the baddest assed MF on the block but I'm not so sure anymore. Maybe I have an affinity for Dark Molly because her rage, insanity, and unquenchable bloodlust remind me of a few of the women I've dated in the past, but DAYUMM she is straight up brutal and quite honestly one of the more creative characters I've had the pleasure to encounter in a book. It's a killer take on the genre. The way that Chuck Anderson wove magic into the tale, lyrically describing spells so that they are sensed and palpable, is, well... magic. Balanced with the violent carnival of this underworld that feels so real to the reader, this book kicks total ass. Molly should put a spell on Mr Anderson that binds him to his computer and compels him to hurry up and finish book two, or rip his guts out.
I loved the entire Black Irish series so when I finished it I read Dark Molly. As much as I liked Black Irish I think this series may be a little better. Chuck Anderson is getting me back in vampire books. His vampires don't sparkle but they will tear out their throat if they get a chance. If you liked Black Irish you will love this!
