Stanley Bennett Hough (1917-1998) was a British writer who also wrote as Rex Gordon and Bennett Stanley. He was born and educated in Preston, Lancashire, and married Justa Wodschow in 1938. He worked as a radio operator and manager, and wrote SF -as Rex Gordon- as well as mystery stories. His series character was Inspector Brentford.
This hardcover edition of “The Bronze Perseus" is volume 21 in the Garland Publishing, Inc. series of books printed as “50 Classics of Crime Fiction 1950 – 1975” chosen by Jacques Barzun & Wendell Hertig Taylor and is a re-print, originally published in 1962 as a hardcover by Walker.
