A key question that emerges in this series is who the greater monster is, Koro Sensei, the octopus-tentacled Class-E teacher who must be assassinated by his deadline to destroy the world in March, but who is adored by his students for his balance between demanding and progressive methods OR Asano, the super mean principal who is also preparing the Class-E students but testing the middle school students with college level math questions.
To Matsui’s credit, he asks someone for a great college level math exam question, and then stops mid-manga to give it to us so we can also attempt to solve it (no, I did not).
In this volume we begin to get some insight into why Asano teaches the way he teaches, more of which continues in the next volume. Much of the volume is manic exam prep and the Class-E goal is for all of them to place in the top fifty. How does Asano handle it when they do? He tries to kill Koro Sensei (and fails, duh, we have six volumes to go, sigh), but will he then die??!! Cliffhanger! Ultimately, after all the manic hilarity, this is mainly a story of striving for dignity and equity when one is not in the snobbish over-achieving track. And it’s quite likeable, and pretty funny. 3.5 for this one (all the exam prep, meh). . . but rounded up just because I'm liking it, anyway, so there. The next one will answer the cliffhanger questions and get more substantial background to Asano’s mean teaching.

Exam time once again! Class E has been given the goal of having their entire class scoring within the top 50. But this year's questions are the hardest ever. Can the students rise to the challenge?
We're down to only three months to go on the students' deadline to assassinate Koro Sensei. I suspect time is going to be stretched out over the remainder of this series--there are at least seven volumes to go after all. As before, I love how Matsui depicts exams as combat. He doesn't overplay it--it's the sort of metaphor that could be easily Dragon-Ball-Z'd to death--just brings it on stage long enough to be appreciated. His deft touch with the storytelling is one of the many reasons I'm still reading this manga. The final exam question was excellently difficult, and Karma's insight in solving it was elegantly in keeping with this series' strengths.
Honestly, Assassination Classroom is one of the best manga I've read in a while. The premise sounds ludicrous, I know, but give it a try. Recommended!

Have to get ready for the big battle of the classes. Class E needs to win and win big. The principal's pulling out all the stops. Koro Sensei has taught them well and it's up to the outcasts to take down the principal's lessons in hate.

January 2, 2026First book of 2026! Liked this volume as it was very whole class centred with the festival and the exam, with everyone working as a team. Intrigued to see the principal's backstory as they're a very interesting, if a lil scary, character.

Look, it's been a month since I've read this and I remember literally none of the details. But I gave it 4 stars so I'm guessing that it was another reliably decent volume of this utterly charming series.

Festival sekolah 2, ujian akhir semester & tantangan kepsek Asano.
Arc ujian akhir ini seharusnya jd pertarungan yg plg seru antara kelas A dan E, antara Asano Jr dengan Karma. Tapi entah kenapa kok rasanya antiklimaks sekali. Meskipun dmkn, senang jg rasanya melihat hasil akhir kelas E.

Moc pěkná kresba, jež si již od začátku udržovala svoji kvalitu. Akorát mi ze začátku štvalo, že mi deformovali Karmův obličej. Naštěstí se po asi tří kapitolách po jeho objevení už neukázal. Také mě fascinoval fakt, že se zde vyskytovala hromada ošklivě vypadajících lidí. To ale byly většinou nedůležité postavy. Dále mě fascinoval fakt, že převládala černá barva vlasů i u více důležitých postav. Detaily tu byly také moc hezky vykreslené a především se mi líbily různorodé výrazy postav. Hlavně ty Koro-senseie. :D Třeba tenhle na spodku je úplně roztomilý. :D
Úžasný, dojemný a originální příběh, který se četl skoro sám. Probudil ve mně opravdu hodně emocí a velice mě bavil. Všechny postavy byly skvělé, neboť u skoro každé jsme věděli aspoň kousek z její minulosti, takže její charakter byl uvěřitelný. Dokonce se vyvíjeli i méně důležité postavy a u hlavních byl ten vývoj zcela zřejmý. Je trochu škoda, že se z valné většiny stali spíše kladné postavy, ale zde mě to ani moc nevadilo, protože k tomu měl každý svůj důvod.
Moje nejoblíbenější postava je Karma. <3 Miluji ho celým svým srdcem. <3 <3 :D Zaprvé proto, že vypadá pěkně (díky bohu, že autor mu přestal hned po 2 kapitolách dělat různě zdeformovaný obličej :D) a zadruhé proto, že se mi hodně líbil jeho charakter, především jeho vývoj. Abych pravdu řekla, tak prvních celých 10 stránek jsem ho moc ráda neměla, ale pak se všechno obrátilo. Trochu mi přišla škoda, že nebylo možné se dozvědět o něm něco více. :( Mimochodem vyrostl po těch sedmi letech do krásy. :D
Zajímavá mi přišla minulost Koro-senseie. Sice byla trochu klišoidní, neboť prostě za všechno může žena, ale to mi nevadilo. Nejhorší bylo, že nám byla odhalena trošičku na začátku, a pak se muselo dobu čekat, než se zjistily další podrobnosti, a já se prostě nemohla dozvědět více. :D Mimochodem předtím než se stal chobotnicí, vypadal vážně dobře. :D
Způsob, jakým byly vyobrazeny zkoušky, se mi moc nezamlouval a tyto části mě ani moc nebavily. Naštěstí tam byly pouze krátce a jen dvakrát. Prostě mi přišlo divná podávat písemky jako alegorii na bojiště. Ze začátku to bylo hustý, ale po chvíli mi to přišlo zdlouhavé, neboť komentáře studentů k otázkám mě moc nezaujaly.
Mimochodem když jsem u vzdělání... Tenhle celý vzdělávací systém se mi zdál opravdu příšerný a znechucující. Diskriminace je velmi hnusná věc. Sice asi měl úspěch, ale potopil jakýkoli jiný potenciál, a ke všemu k čemu je dobré se drtit až do umření, pokud vám něco nejde? Neříkám, že to není správné, avšak všeho moc škodí. Protože když se člověk bude dennodenně učit bez přestávky, úplně ho to zničí.
Také jsem nechápala chování Nagisovy matky. Jako vysvětlení mi zpočátku stačilo to, že ji opustil její manžel a ona to psychicky nezvládla. Pak se otec Nagisy náhle zjevil, takže jsem tento důvod nepobrala. Navíc po pokecání s Koro-senseiem to vypadalo, že se změnila k lepšímu. To jsem jí ale prostě nemohla uvěřit, neboť se to stalo vážně zčistajasna. Musela jsem litovat i "2D anime holky jsou lepší než reálné" týpka, jehož rodiče taktéž stáli za nic.
Nepřítomnost romantiky mezi studenty mi opravdu nevadila, jelikož by se mi uspořádání párů určitě nelíbilo a bylo by tam nadbytečná. Hlavně by mi určitě brejlatá holka sebrala Karmu a to bych jí neodpustila. :D Mezi některými žáky sice nějaké chemie probíhala, avšak většinou jen náznaky, což mi bohatě stačilo.
Konec se dal očekávat, ale i tak jsem prostě celou dobu doufala, že se to vyřeší jinak.
Rozhodně bylo zajímavé sledovat, kam to všichni dosáhli.
Obálky se mi líbí a jediné, co bych na nich vytkla, je nedodržování jednotného stylu až do konce. Poslední dvě obálky totiž pak vypadají, jako by mezi ostatní ani nepatřily. Mimochodem je opravdu pravda, že v jednoduchosti je krása.

This was yet another good volume of Assassination Classroom. The volume didnt really present anything truly shocking or gripping but worked well in giving a few more chapters to some characters to allow us to get to know them better. For example there was a chapter about Maehara which was nice on seeing how the pretty boy manages to deal with dating girls outside of their class. Then there was a chapter on Irina's relationship with the students which seems to be leading into a chapter to dive into her backstory. Finally a new student joins the class which was pretty compelling.
Overall I would say we are still in the buildup phase of Assassination Classroom.
Quality wise, Viz did it again with a great quality reading of the series and translation of some of the interchapter inserts and details, opening volume contents of characters past and handling of some of the puns (like Korosensei's name). One odd moment was when Karasuma was confronting an invader who was speaking another language however, since we cant hear it, we had to assume that was the case and also assume that he could speak both that language and Japanese. Probably in the Japanese reading they were able to keep the Japanese language while including the JPN translation of the text, which would be impossible in our volume. Maybe viz could have added a sidenote. In any case a box on the page does show Karasuma thinking that it is a European language so at the bare minimum one could tell he was speaking another language.
There werent really any end of volume extras or anything and, as usual, no color pages.

Cliffhanger, again... lol.
There's a nice life lesson about nature and resources.
Their principal Asano is crazy... Those poor kids.
I'd hate to have him as a teacher in his current state lol. I wouldn't survive.
He's so hellbent on making Class E fail. These tests sound ridiculous...
(The author asked for an actual math problem for this book. I'm impressed.
It's a high level problem that junior high schoolers could answer. )
One final test for the teachers... Koro Sensei and Asano. He is out of his mind...
I like Matsui's end notes, about working on the anime with the creators.
If I had some writing go to tv, I'd want to be involved too! :)

Iniciar mi año con aula de asesinatos y terminar el año con aula de asesinatos me ha cambiado como lector, MUCHAS GRACIAS KOROSENSEI, por ayudarme tanto y darle un punto de diferencia a mi vida como profesional y como lector.

¿Para qué leer assessination classroom HORA DEL FIN DE SEMESTRE?
Por que te ayuda a entender :
1. Que todos tenemos un talento y en ocasiones no te puede gustar esa habilidad, pero recuerda que puedes ayudar a otros.
2. Que si sabes utilizar muy bien tus debilidades, puedes convertirlas en armas de tu vida.
3. Que las relaciones que hagas en este mundo pueden enseñar más que cualquier profesor.
4. NO TE VUELVES MÁS FUERTE PELEANDO CON LOS MÁS FUERTES, Te vuelves fuerte conociendo la derrota y saliendo de ella. Se que es dificil y vas a caer en depresiones, pero después de que salgas de ese bache te volverás aún mas fuerte que cualquier asesino experimentado.
5. Todos somos iguales al afrontar las pruebas de la vida

The school festival competition is on and trouble is already o nits way as delinquents from earlier in the series decide to get back at the class with some fake bad reviews but are blown away by what they see and hear. In this story faces from the past both dangerous and not, even some that we thought were dead have returned to eat some good food at class E's stall.
With the school festival over final exams are around the corner and Principle Asano is handling things personally as he does his best to justify his pedagogy. Not to spoil what happens but in the end some minds will be changed, tempers will be lost, and we could be in for a explosive conclusion of the story by the beginning of the next volume.
My favorite part of the book however would have to be a simple one panel shot of Yuzuki Fuwa saying "I wanted to spend eight pages on his reaction. But that's a different manga's specialty." after a customer tried acorn dipping noodles. Who needs 4th walls anyway. :)

Bisa dibilang ini adalah episode paling menyenangkan dari seluruh volume yang sudah saya baca. Eh, tapi kayaknya sebagian besar asik sih ya... Tapi volume yang ini adalah saatnya membalikkan segala yang sudah terjadi di sekolah Kunugigakoka, emnunjukkan bahwa murid-murid yang berada di kelas E bukanlah anak-anak kelas sampah. Principal Asano is the real monster that should be wipe off the face of earth, not Koro-sensei. He makes no sense at all. So, you want to train students for survival of the fittest by making examples of students who failed so that what happened to your former student never happens again? Yet, you’re teaching these “Class A” students to bully class E students, encouraging them to do exactly what you’re trying to prevent from happening again? Your former student was a CLASS E; a failure because he was bullied. At least Koro-sensei is trying to make these students see their worth and potential. His backstory to why he is the way he is just makes him trashier.
These two past volumes were so over-the-top dramatic sometimes. & it was not necessary to make all class A students that ugly to distinguish the point.

Siamo arrivati a dicembre, alla sfida finale tra la 3E e la 3A, tra Korosensei e il direttore Asano - una sfida tra due insegnanti dalle capacità incredibili, simili ma anche molto diversi, che si concluderà (SPOILER con la completa disfatta del secondo, i cui metodi ferrei si sono rivelati controproducenti, tanto che prima il figlio, e poi l'intera sezione A, decidono di seguire una strada diversa).
Il volume si conclude nel bel mezzo del tentativo di assassinio del direttore, anche se le cose sembrano mettersi male per lui...
Comunque, ho adorato il confronto tra questi due personaggi: se uno punta tutto sulla forza, l'altro ha aiutato i suoi studenti a scoprire e coltivare al meglio i propri talenti. Due metodi diversi arrivati finalmente alla prova finale.

I'm so proud of class E, first for doing well with their food stall, even though they didn't win and for all getting in the top 50!! Karma literally got first place, instead of Asano! I'm proud of him and I appreciate Asano's development, where we see him learning that failure can be useful/vital to growing and becoming better. He has grown to respect class E as opponents, which is really nice to see.
Principal Asano is still an asshole and I'm not shocked that he pulled that crap in the last chapter. I'm curious to know if he'll open the textbook or bow out. I'm also curious to know what will flash in his eyes in those moments. He seems to be even more unhinged with every failure he gets.

Again, random thoughts about this volume:
- I love that so many of their "antagonists" from earlier stories show up at the restaurant at Koro-sensei's invitation. It just shows the impact this group of misfits has on everyone they meet.
- The test scenes are always fascinating, but the final math question between Karma and Asano is something special. It shows how much they are alike, but how much Karma has grown in the Assassination Classroom.
- It is so satisfying to see Asano learn to grow from failure and value those around him. Even without being directly taught by Koro-sensei he is becoming a better, more well rounded student and person.

Este es uno de los volúmenes bastante intensos en el Manga y no debido a peleas o algo por el estilo sino porque era una batalla contra la ideología del presidente al final de todo. Me gusta que Asano haya logrado salir un poco del sistema y que sus compañeros de clase también intenten hacerlo. Si hubiera estado leyendo el Manga a medida que iba saliendo de seguro me hubiera preocupado de que la técnica del director hubiera servido para derrotar a Korosensei ya que a pesar de que era bastante simple parecía ser bastante efectiva, pero sabiendo que todavía quedan mas volúmenes sabía que no me tenía que preocupar por nada y que de seguro quienes asesinaran a Korosensei serán la clase E.
