Europa II
Don't let it get to Earth.
Four million years ago. The object slammed into the Europan ice with a sound like cracking bone. And from its ruptured shell poured something far worse than death.
The thing was a hollow, perfectly engineered nightmare – a spacecraft, delivery system, seed pod and birthing chamber fused into one horrifying capsule. And it vomited forth a horde of ravenous lifeforms that knew neither pity nor restraint.
Yesterday. The massive Russian vessel Svyatogor touched down on the icy moon to investigate the fate of a previous expedition. Despite urgent American warnings about an extinction risk lifeform, the Russians landed anyway.
Captain Alexi Novikov discovered the horrifying truth too late. The creature doesn't just kill – it devours flesh, blood, mind and memory, then perfectly mimics its victim. And the horror they awakened has already slipped aboard their ship.

Explosive!
This is one for the ages. When I read Europa, I was fascinated. I was terrified. I was horrified. I’m not angry about feeling all these emotions. I just feel like I have to fight through this fear. The book was so extraordinary. I definitely enjoyed reading it.
Now, I’ve just finished reading Europa ll. And I must admit it was a tour de force. I have no other way to describe it. The atmosphere on Europa is cold. Very, very cold! So cold that the life forms that live there can’t stand heat.
But the Wyrms, aliens from another galaxy who arrived millions of years ago, have taken over the planet and destroyed everything on the surface. But fortunately for Europa, there is a very large ocean full of life.
Even some of the original inhabitants who survived the destructive forces of the Wyrm have found a way to make a living in the water world.
When the Russian government sends a team of cosmonauts to explore Europa, they are also given instructions to rescue any surviving members of their previous missions. Nobody is found alive on the surface, but they have the misfortune to come across the Wyrms.
Five stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Similar to book 1
While this was fun and great for anyone who likes Alien or The Thing, it was just too similar to book 1. It kind of felt like a copy of book 1 with some government schemes added in.
I wish something more happened or was different enough to distinguish it from the first book. Still a fun read, though.

A year after the loss of both the US and Russian explorations to Europa, a new Russian team is sent to recover their comrades and find out what happened. Europa is a frozen moon where life is believed to be hundreds of miles down under the ice in a huge ocean. But, as the previous humans found, something deadly is lurking on the planet and it cannot get back to Earth.
Another thrilling scifi where the stakes are high and the risks deadly but it is very similar to book one which I loved just with different names. This time the team has two members under secret orders from the Russian military and their priority is not their colleagues.
Alexis the leader is a great character whose most loyal companion is his dog, Nishka. The others are a mix of moral and ambiguous personalities who have no idea what they are walking or diving into. The political machinations here are probably exactly what would happen.

Perfect Ending
Though I expected to see Nishka’s face collapse, I’m happy it didn’t. Europa II was an amazingly fast-paced read, with loads of mystery and nightmarish action. It was nice having America sitting on the sidelines, while Russia had to fight and figure things out. I also enjoyed that European assist!
I can’t wait to receive the audio, so I can listen to both books 1 & 2 continuously.

Similar to the first
This book is a lot like the first book of the series with the exception of the fact that this time the Russians are in charge. I loved having a dog as part of the crew but it really hurt my heart when they decided to try to use a blowtorch on the dog's foot to see if it would still stay still or if it was infected. And then the poor animal looked at the captain to ask what he did wrong.

A predictable retread
I'll get this short. If you read the first book, you also read this book. The names are different, but it's the same plot and unfortunately it's a bit threadbare: cribbed heavily from Alien, the Thing, and Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Looking, hoping, praying for a new spark in Beck's next few works.

The Thing... In Space
Really good sequel but you should definitely read both together. There's a bunch of Easter eggs from the first book that will go over your head if you don’t. And the dog lives. I'm very surprised the author didn't do his usual ending with a hint of the creatures surviving.

Amazing read! As expected!!!
I've been waiting for this book like crazy and Mr. Beck did not disappoint. Story line, action and as he already promised no more dogs will be hurt 😁 thank you for keeping your promise lol and the most important question from me now ... Will the story continue? Book number 3? I hope so!!!!!!!!

Great book
This was a good story from the first page to the end. A great cast of characters, both good and bad. I really wonder if the Captain and his dog got away scot free and never got infected. I recommend reading this to all that love science fiction.

Great Syi Fi Book. As usual Beck delivers chills and creepiness in this book. It was a great thriller. I really love his books. If your are a fan of Greig Beck this you should read this book. Keep writing them Greig!

Entertaining sequel to Europa
Great story line, some of the science is a tad off, but the overall tale and delivery are great .
