Let me be upfront about something: I am not a second chance romance reader.
I don't trust them. I've been burned too many times. The grovel never lives up. It's always too little, too late, too weak. I go in with hope, and I come out with trust issues and a strongly worded mental complaint letter. My standards are high. Some might say impossibly high. I call it "having taste."
And then I read this book.
This book was absolute perfection. I am not being dramatic. (Okay, I'm always being dramatic, but this time I MEAN it.) The character development? Flawless. The grovel? IT DELIVERED. The sarcasm? Sharp enough to cut glass. The wit? Immaculate. The side characters? I want to move in with them.
Everything—EVERYTHING—was perfect.

Oh, Cassian. I hated you. HATED you. In the early chapters, I was ready to throw hands, file a complaint, and possibly key your car. I was mentally writing a strongly worded letter to the author demanding justice for Alessia. But then... you changed. You grew. You 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘥 like your life depended on it. And by the end, I was crying and rooting for you like a proud parent at a spelling bee. I'm not okay. I'm emotionally compromised.

I’m a sucker for a soapy style amnesia story! I enjoyed this author’s sense of humor.
Spoilery thoughts…
MMC is being incredibly neglectful and callous to FMC, over a period of months, due to some serious work drama. Before that it sounds like it was a very happy relationship.
MMC blows off an important birthday party FMC throws for him. He comes home at 2 am with a drunk wannabe OW/coworker (his business partner and bff’s sister).
FMC is done and leaves him, while wishing she had never even met him. Welp, she gets her wish. She’s almost immediately in a car wreck and gets amnesia. She forgets only the last three years of her life, precisely how long she’s known the MMC. All of this was great angst.
I did start to often dislike the FMC after this point. I sympathize with her because I can only imagine the FMC’s confusion, especially considering one of the last things she remembers is claiming she’s never going to marry. She immediately wants a divorce.
MMC is devastated. The way he’s written I kinda wonder if he’s on the spectrum. He absolutely screwed up, but dang he loved her so much. It frankly started to feel like reading about a puppy getting kicked. Repeatedly. FMC had absolutely no empathy for his situation. It was harsh.
There’s a whole bunch of other subplots involving their childhoods, parents, abuse, selective mutism, OW, OW’s father, and more. It was bogged down with too many plot directions. Anyway, an eventual HEA.
I think I started this on Wattpad a while ago. I’ve noticed a lot of WP stories meander, especially if the story is getting a lot of views. This can work great when you’re reading piecemeal works. Translating that to actual publishing, without significant editing, is a problem. This baby felt so LONG! At 35% I was wondering what the heck is going on here?
I’d definitely be interested in reading this author again. I seriously don’t want to be disrespectful, but I hope next time she brings in a healthy dose of editing if she’s publishing one from WP origins. This author has a lot of potential to do something great. ✌️

Fuck this book, I hated it.
It made me remember how fucking single i am and no man will ever speak about me the way Cassian spoke about Alessia.
This might be the first book where the man fucks up and I fully forgive him.
and hey a huge chunk of the book is stupid af and made no sense, for instance Cassian couldn't say i love you due to his past abuse by his step mom, but when Alessia asked if he loved her he could have easily said yes. we know he can say the word love just not the full " i love you", so he could have said it differently.
honestly i could go on and on about the loopholes and inconsistencies, but at the end of the day this book wasn't meant to be serious and it's obvious, it was a silly cute little 2nd chance book and i enjoyed it.
especially their friends, i struggle a lot in books when the main characters have awful friends who push them to take back awful Partners or meddle too much in their lives. But their friend in this book were incredible f, and they were all quite close and funny. And I adored their bond.
The MCs were also great, the fmc was witty and strong and funny. she was also very loving and protective.
The mmc fucked up in a tough moment with too much stress and exhaustion and sever lack of communication but he was a softie who adored his wife.

First thing to say, amnesia trope isn't my cup of tea but oh my giddy aunt Neva knocks this utterly amazing read out of the angsty amnesia park. It's heartbreaking, hilarious, yummy yearning that you will have you up til dawn saying meh f*ck my morning meeting. Alessia hosts an enormous birthday party for her much beloved husband Cassian to help him make connections for his troubled business but he's a no show leaving her standing alone. But when she finally heads home it becomes clear he wasn't so "alone" when he and his tipsy (very female and clearly enamoured) colleague stumble in during the early hours. Alessia flees the gut punch of a scene, tears streaming down her face as she whizzes off in her car, only to wrap it round a pole minutes later... Upon awakening many days later to a man who looks haunted by her pain whom she doesn't know is her husband and the last few years of her memories (seemingly) deleted she lets him explain what happened and a run down of their relationship only to deem him not nearly devoted enough to qualify for husband status.
Cassian is desperate to make up for his horrible wrong but can't when his wife is no longer his wife but a woman who sees him as a stranger. Cue furious fight for any crumb of Alessia's approval let alone winning back her love, his trips down, around and through memory lane are so heartbreaking, I ugly sobbed on so many occasions. Neva depicts his deep yearning, despair and gut wrenching grief for a life that no longer exists with the only woman who ever felt like home or that he could even have a home at all.
Alessia's razor sharp tongue and savage sarcasm will have you snort laughing in public places but it's the characters nuanced poignant friendships with each other than will have you rushing through the pages. So much pain from past and present casts long shadows over both imperfectly loveable main characters, you can see how their personal puzzle pieces would fit together perfectly but are held at arms length through fear and forgotten memories the joyful reconciliation will warm your heart and make you ugly cry all over again... god the soup scene... the bloody tearjerking soup scene!
Fabulous writing from a truly talented author, Neva captures visceral emotions with such authenticity and aplomb. Poignant prose, devastating loss and upliftingly cutthroat wit make this an absolute must read.

And Cassian is forced to face their marriage from the outside and realize just how badly he failed the woman he loves.
And the GROVEL. Exactly what I wanted.
What made this a five-star read for me was that Cassian’s regret wasn’t simply about losing her. He actually had to recognize what he had done wrong, take accountability, and understand that loving someone isn’t enough when your actions continually make them feel like they come second.
Watching that realization absolutely destroy him? So satisfying.
I loved Alessia just as much. She doesn’t immediately forgive him because he’s miserable and sorry. She’s angry, stubborn, funny, petty, and determined not to lose herself again. Cassian has to earn every tiny step forward.
And that’s what made their second chance work so well for me. It isn’t about recreating their old marriage. It’s about Cassian falling for Alessia all over again—the woman she is now—and proving through his actions that this time, he will choose her.

An emotionally stunted hero with a traumatic childhood where his mother, who was not his real mother, abused him because he was his father’s mistress’s son, and a heroine who married him and was neglected for months because he was losing his company.
A psycho wannabe ow that is also his bffs little sister and her father is even worse.
I liked it until I didn’t because after the heroine dumped the hero and had her accident where she totally forgot the hero, I felt he was so sorry and so remorseful that it wasn’t even funny and the heroine who didn’t remember him and didn’t feel anything for him, was very cruel and distant.
Ok he neglected her, ok he forgot his birthday party, ok his mother was also mean to the heroine but she treated him with deliberate cruelty just because. Without even wondering if two years of marriage were all bad or if their problems were more recent and due to a very real and bad crisis his company was having, crisis caused by ows evil father btw.
So, in the end I hated the heroine more.

I liked it until I didn’t because after the heroine dumped the hero and had her accident where she totally forgot the hero, I felt he was so sorry and so remorseful that it wasn’t even funny and the heroine who didn’t remember him and didn’t feel anything for him, was very cruel and distant.
Ok he neglected her, ok he forgot his birthday party, ok his mother was also mean to the heroine but she treated him with deliberate cruelty just because. Without even wondering if two years of marriage were all bad or if their problems were more recent and due to a very real and bad crisis his company was having, crisis caused by ows evil father btw.
So, in the end I hated the heroine more.

1000000 STARS , KEPT ME CRYING!!
Saw so many reels for this book and finally picked it up and wow, couldn’t stop reading, was so annoyed I had to sleep because of medicine but the best way to spend my sick weekend lol
Felt all the pain, loved every roasting comment and absolutely love love loved all the characters!! It was a long book but had so many sub stories of everyone’s lives all tied together nearly with a bow and essential to their characters.
There’s no spice at all which is amazing honestly because the storyline is all focused and no BBS or anything.

It's no secret that I am a cry baby, so I did cry for like 2/3 of the book.
The first couple of chapters I hated Cassian and then oh my god, his Pov's 😭 I love him so much, we need to protect him at all costs.

I came in guns blazing when I started this book and wanted to hate Cassian but as the book progressed I just fell in love, not just with the person but the vulnerability and the strength he had to keep going and how he realised things about himself and his boundaries and gre to become a better person not just for Alessia but himself as well.
Yes, he made mistakes, HUGE mistakes but he felt genuinely sorry and its been so long since a book has brought me so close to tears.
Reading about Alessia's struggle and how she's grown and survived her childhood and looking for her person and how this goofy dork could just take everything she threw his way and never let her go.
I am in love with both of them and the author for writing this amazing book. If she wants to build a series around it with the existing characters, I am all for it!!! Liam, Rohan, Felicity and Naiya they were such delightful supporting characters to bothe the respective MCs.

So funny! And boy there must be quite the brain behind this story. I love the witty banter! It had me laughing all throughout. If it weren't for all the cuss words, it would be on my favorite's shelf. Well there weren't that many but reading a book with them in it makes me feel guilty. Other than that, it was clean, I think. I was utterly captivated with the characters and literally could not put the book down. I read it on Wattpad. I love all of Neva's comments, and the way she helps you shift perspective. It's really eye-opening. Thank you for your brain! I would love to meet you!

I liked this one…but there was so many OTT backstories. Everbody was either left by a parent or has parent issues.
The fmc was introduced as a soft natured, fragile woman but after the amnesia a bitch was born. It sometimes happens that characters change after a traumatic situation but we learned that she was always like that. And I was not convinced with the two different characters to belong to the same woman. If she was such a viper how come she reacted as a weak woman towards her husband and his negligence?
Still I read it without skimping or skipping so 4 stars.

Fantastic!
Definitely a book that kept me up late. The FMC was hilarious and unapologetically herself when she came to. The MMC finally got it together and gave her what she needed and then changed to get her back. Very good book, good storyline, good writing.

Why the heck is someone cutting onions near me at 2 am? I swear it’s the onion. No way in hell am I crying under the blanket reading this book. Nope. Never. Nada. Someone must have been really hungry and wanted 10 kilos of onions. That’s it. Yessss!
On a serious note though, this story made me cry rivers. I usually do not like amnesia stories even though I’m a huge sucker for second chance romance stories(usually not with the male lead that hurt you before), but this story OMG… The change in perspectives, and the way the male lead was not whitewashed, but his actions were still justified… I cannot begin to even say. I’m absolutely in love with this story.
This is one of those books that made me forgive the MMC even after he effed up. Like, OMG. I’m not gonna say more. Go read it and see for yourself why.

- Characters: Alessia is a no-nonsense person. Cassian is very focused. He works according to his priorities and sometimes those priorities lead to disaster, which he realizes very late. The secondary characters were also quite nice. I liked Liam, especially that bouquet throwing scene OMG. I think Felicity could’ve been developed a bit more. I do like their friendship, but it didn’t feel that meaningful to me.
- Pacing & Structure: The story was absolutely well-paced. So well-paced that it did not feel like it was dragging at all. All it did was leave me sleep-deprived.
- Writing Style & Tone: The prose is very good and well-written. The only thing that I noticed was that the character voices sometimes felt the same, especially in areas where description was used. Since multiple first-person POV was used, I wish they had different ways of describing the things/setting. Dialogues were quite good, honestly and had distinct voices, so that made it worthwhile.

----OMG, there are so many favorite scenes… The bouquet throwing scene was hilarious. The fake doctor vs the real doctor scene was also hilarious. The accident scene was so emotional. The soup scene … AAAAAAAA… I mean, at this point, I’d go on and on… Just go read for yourself.
----One of the best scenes, IMO, is the vulnerable Cassian being unable to utter those words that he should have. He knew it and he still couldn’t say it. OMG, my heart broke for him. I just cannot begin to say how much I relate to it.
----Also loved Alessia’s sarcasm and retorts. They just made my day and had me bursting out in laughter.
- What Didn't Work (Cons):
----The development of the side characters… I wish they were a bit more developed. There was so much room to develop them instead of just being a statue(couldn’t find a better descriptor for them haha)
----The distinct voice in descriptions. But it’s not very noticeable, just a thought.

I rated One of Those Amnesia Stories 2.5/5. It had its moments, but the story became increasingly weighed down by plot threads that felt unnecessary to the central premise. By the end, I felt that a significant portion of the book could have been removed without losing what the story was ultimately trying to say.
When I picked up One of Those Amnesia Stories, I had to wonder if I really needed another story with a premise similar to The Vow and If Only. We have already asked and attempted to answer the question, “Can two people who already loved each other find their way back to each other when one of them no longer remembers the relationship?” So what could another retelling offer to make itself stand out from stories that have already explored this premise?
Well, after reading this, apparently a lot—a looooot—and some of it I really wish we hadn't added.
I started this book with high hopes, especially after the author hooked me and made me cry in public — I was riding the bus with snot — just after finishing the first chapter. I felt Alessia’s pain with every word she said which showcased the author’s brilliant way of putting words together and making them land where exactly it needed to, for this case my breaking heart for Alessia. After reading a couple of her chapters, knowing what I knew about the premise, I wanted her to make Cassian go through hell and back for what he did. A feeling that further solidified the strength of the author which is her way with words, she made me want to read further because of her beautiful prose. The irony of which is that part of Cassian’s issue was saying the right words, which was a fun struggle to read because it was a stark difference from the author’s command of literary quips. The author is good at language, while Cassian is bad at communicating. From this point on, I wanted to know how Cassian plans to win Alessia back for the second time with the anticipation of how the author’s beautiful writing would bring me there.
Instead, I felt lost in the middle. It was like the author handed me this beautiful map through her prose, only for the story to send me through unnecessary loops and sudden turns before I could reach the destination. I am not sure that the 300+ pages of twists and turns was worth the trip in the end, well at least it felt that way for me. The middle began to read like a daytime soap opera, with increasingly melodramatic plot threads involving family legacy, an arranged marriage, arson, and even a POV from the antagonist. The antagonist's POV in particular felt unnecessary to me. Rather than deepening the central conflict between Alessia and Cassian, it mainly exposed the machinations happening around them, which further pulled the story away from the relationship I had originally invested in. This part only remained palatable for me because of the witty banter between Alessia and Cassian and the promise that I would later find out if the love between them is worth a second chance.
In the end, the story did get to its point but at the expense of my attention. I was just too committed to Alessia to abandon the story altogether. As a medical doctor, I also found the resolution of Alessia's amnesia difficult to accept. More importantly for me as a reader, it felt like another convenient shortcut: after spending the majority of the book without her memories, Alessia suddenly becomes dizzy after realizing that she loves the person Cassian has become and remembers everything. It felt less like an organic culmination of her journey and more like the story needed her memories back, so they came back.
The author's words are emotionally precise, but the plot isn't. I can see this working well for readers who enjoy easy-to-read, high-melodrama romances with plenty of twists, family intrigue, and dramatic revelations. For me, though, I came for the emotional question of whether Alessia and Cassian could find their way back to each other, and I ultimately felt that too much of the story got in the way of that.

This is my first second-chance romance, and there is a reason for it. It is hard for me to read about someone making big mistakes in a relationship and understand that they might deserve a second chance. Cassian was hard for me to accept at the beginning of the story because of this. Alessia’s situation immediately made me empathize with her. By the end, their development changed how I felt about them together.
Cassian’s neglect of Alessia, regardless of the circumstances, was upsetting. At one point, I even thought maybe he wasn’t going to be endgame, especially with his initial reaction to the amnesia. But eventually, just like he did with Alessia, he wore me down. He did the growth that was required to not only understand what he did wrong, but also how to avoid it happening again.
I liked Alessia throughout the whole story. She is a strong, independent woman, and I loved the idea of her not remembering the past three years of her life and not understanding how she had changed so much during that time that she had come to accept being neglected by her husband for so long. She has a booming business, which she prioritizes again right after the amnesia, and she lets Cassian grovel quite a lot to mess with him, even though she believes she will never give him a second chance.
The amnesia worked perfectly in favor of the second-chance plot, but not because of what we would normally think. The accident, along with the fight that led to it, made Cassian wake up and realize how wrong he had been, and it made him decide to change his ways. The amnesia also helped Alessia, since before the accident she didn’t resemble her true self because of how much she was dedicating herself to her unrequited relationship with Cassian. The accident gives Alessia an opportunity to rediscover herself while Cassian has to become someone worthy of the version of Alessia he originally fell in love with.
They couldn’t simply return to the relationship they had before the accident because that relationship had problems. They needed to become healthier versions of themselves before their second chance could actually work.
Cassian’s early neglect was particularly difficult for me to get past. I know this subject affects my reading experience more strongly than it might affect yours. Because of that, I know I may have judged Cassian more harshly or needed more from his redemption than another reader might. Despite this, the author eventually convinced me that Cassian genuinely changed and earned another chance. Cassian’s redemption made me think about where the line is between someone who has genuinely earned a second chance and a relationship that has become unhealthy enough that walking away is the better choice.
If you like a second-chance romance via amnesia with redemption arcs, MMCs who have to earn their second chance, emotional growth, and great banter, this will be a great book for you.

The accident gives Alessia an opportunity to rediscover herself while Cassian has to become someone worthy of the version of Alessia he originally fell in love with.
They couldn’t simply return to the relationship they had before the accident because that relationship had problems. They needed to become healthier versions of themselves before their second chance could actually work.
Cassian’s early neglect was particularly difficult for me to get past. I know this subject affects my reading experience more strongly than it might affect yours. Because of that, I know I may have judged Cassian more harshly or needed more from his redemption than another reader might. Despite this, the author eventually convinced me that Cassian genuinely changed and earned another chance. Cassian’s redemption made me think about where the line is between someone who has genuinely earned a second chance and a relationship that has become unhealthy enough that walking away is the better choice.
If you like a second-chance romance via amnesia with redemption arcs, MMCs who have to earn their second chance, emotional growth, and great banter, this will be a great book for you.

When Neva reached out to me to ARC read for her again I was so thrilled to get to read another one of her books as her debut Where Would I Go will likely be one of my top 3 reads of 2026, truly. So let's talk about her newest novel One of those Amnesia Stories!
Alessia is dedicated to her husband. Always home at the end of the day waiting for him, always willing to lend an ear should he need it, just always there. Until one night she's pushed too far and she walks away. Little does she know that walking away will end up erasing the memory of her husband completely and leave her waking up in a hospital bed with a complete stranger calling her his wife. Cassian is overwhelmed at work, struggling to keep his head above water and the pressure of keeping everything afloat has made his marriage take the back burner, but when his wife gets into a car accident right in front of his eyes his priorities need to shift drastically and suddenly the only thing he can think about is getting his wife to remember him- and also give him one more chance.
One of those Amnesia Stories is the perfect title for this book. It gives that idea of "hey this is going to be one of those stories so strap in" and it takes you on a dramatic twist and turn-telenovela experience in a book. I loved how over the top and fun it was while also being heartwarming and sweet. There were beautiful friendships and family dynamics and a good old fashioned groveling man with a woman who is not letting him get away with ANYTHING. I started this book thinking there was absolutely no path to redemption for Cassian only to be won over by him in the end. Also Alessia is a queen.
My one and only concern with the book was that some parts felt a little slow and long making the pacing of the book a bit hard at times. The middle of the story just felt like it took a while to pick back up again to get us through to the end of the story, but that's my only complaint.

Not bad but not great
So I have mixed feelings about this story. First off I really do like this author. I believe I discovered her on Wattpad first and was incredibly impressed with the first story of hers. I read. She continued on by writing this book and it is high-quality writing. I find very few mistakes which means either she’s incredibly talented that editing herself or she has some good friends because I do believe she’s an Indie author. The problems that I have with this book are a couple things. First off from the very beginning when she starts meeting people after she has lost her memory for instance, her first client accuses her of not going in all in on love. Well, I’m sorry, but the glimpse that we got of her life where she was married, she was all in. She did everything that she could for that husband and I’m sorry, but it was a short site on the authors part to have anyone guilt her for not being dedicated. That man couldn’t even say that he loved her and then they’re gonna put it on her feet like it was her fault? No, when he came in that door after two in the morning with another woman hanging all over him giggling, and then he dismisses his wife in front of her? After he forgot his own birthday party? I’m sorry that is an emotional affair so freaking lewdly. So I’m sorry between that major glaring plot issue and then you have the exceedingly over long book. It went to a three star book for me. Again very talented author, but you have so many people gaslighting the FC when what he did was awful. If my husband came into a room with another woman hanging off of him, I would be done if he gaslighted me I would be done if he forgot events I would be done and then you have a husband who’s doing all of those things and more and we’re supposed to feel sorry for him because a couple people told her she didn’t go all in on love after she’s done everything to support him? I don’t know why she thought that should be a plot point but it wasn’t a good one. I don’t regret reading it, but I feel like she should take it down remove about 100 pages and take out some of the misogyny and actually acknowledge how horrible that MMC is and I don’t know maybe write a new one or just have her end up together and dating a new, but he was a joke.

I was delighted to be selected to read this book before it was released. There is nothing more incredible than being entrusted with someone's words and hard work.
'One of those amnesia stories' should have been called 'Love, Marriage and Amnesia?'.
Although I'm not actually a huge fan of reading on my kindle, I do have it for emergencies (such as I finish my book while travelling and need another asap). I completely understand the need for ARC readers to only receive online copies and, as I mentioned, I was very happy to be selected.
And now to the nitty gritty... when I started reading I enjoyed the tone and the characters. Neither of them seemed likable entirely and the main character seemed lonely, and maybe a little bit weak. It does take strength to stand up to those you love, and it takes more strength than ever if you don't believe there is any use. She got herself to a point where she loathed her husband and loathed herself as well, and yet she never once stopped to question him or to have an actual argument with him in order to work out whether it was worth continuing with the Marriage or setting them both free. I think she was scared to hear the answer and it made her pretty frustrating.
Her husband - no idea what he really thought he was doing by hiding out with his job. It was ridiculous that he thought Marriage could survive by hiding something so large. By the end of chapter 3 I was annoyed and worried I wasn't going to be able to continue... and then this got interesting.
The tone changed and the story received the jolt it needed, a story behind the story. The secrets and plots began to spill out across the pages and the thoughts of her husband showed he really did love her but didn't know how too.
I enjoyed the new tone of the story and how knowing what was happening behind the scenes made the characters both more likable and also more despicable.
Overall enjoyed the story and ending. Plots within plots and love behind it all without being too over the top.
I can recommend you give this book a chance and enjoy it as a light weekend read.

This book started off as a 5 star rating but the more it continued the more its appeal wore off.
The book starts off with flowery writing that I struggled to get into to but I pushed through because of the gut wrenching scenes it delivered right off the bat. I was aghast at how the MMC treated the FMC and the first few chapters set the scene well. By the time the FMC woke up from her coma and quite literally woke up from her daze and realized the MMC aint sh!t I was sat. The FMC gave me everything I wanted...she didnt fall for his BS excuses and kicked him to the curb-HARD. I wish dark romance authors would lean more into FMCs with a backbone who stand up for themselves like Allessia. I thoroughly enjoyed her awakening. The MMC had to prove himself to get back in her good graces, exactly how it should always be. I also appreciated the fact that everything that bothered me about their birthday argument was diisected and put tk reat- there were no unresolved issues. I dont read many amnesia trope stories this might be common but I love how the author removed her 'love for him' from the equation so she could see his failings more clearly. I also love that she made the FMC so strong willed.
The book unfortunately was about 200 pages too long. Even with all the additional character's drama the book could and should have been much, much shorter.
At around 50% or so I noticed alot of AI input...the short choppy sentences, the comparisons that dont make sense, confusing characters. The author did a good job of masking it but it still stood out.
Honestly, this book could have been amazing and Im a little dissapointed that I ended up having to skim through so much of it in the end.

All the drama and grovel
It’s memory loss with allll the melodrama in One of Those Amnesia Stories.
When Alessia wakes up in hospital, she is shocked to discover a man she doesn’t recognise sits holding her hand. Then she learns a terrible truth - she has been unconscious for five days after a car accident and has lost all memories of the last three years. Oh, and the stranger holding her hand is her husband.
Cassian made a terrible mistake - or rather, a series of them. Assuming his wife would always be there, he put his work first. Repeatedly. Until she had enough. Her exit from their home culminated in the accident that nearly claimed her life and stole her memories. Now Cassian has a chance to save their marriage - if Alessia will let him.
This was a highly emotional contemporary romance that was appropriately melodramatic at times. There’s Other Woman drama (no cheating), major parent/parental figure dramas, and a whole lot of self-discovery and recovery to go through. It felt very emotionally satisfying to see how Cassian and Alessia grew across the story.
This romance starts as a marriage in crisis, with Alessia realising Cassian had never said “I love you”. After the car crash, it is a second chance, slow burn with significant grovel involved. The book is spice free, with one fade to black moment in a bonus chapter.
There are some major potential triggers in this book, including the car crash, amnesia, OW drama, parental neglect/emotional abuse/abandonment, manipulation, sabotage and a building fire.
If you need a good grovel with your second chance, I definitely recommend adding One of Those Amnesia Stories to your TBR.

Alssia and Cassian were married. His business was in trouble and instead of sharing the details with Alessia, he ignored her for months. He missed his birthday party Alessia planned for him. Alessia was devastated when not only he missed the party and came home with ow but walked away from discussing the issue or showed any real repentance. She left him and then lost her memory in accident. It was a retrograde amnesia where she forgot all her married life including Cassian. Alessia without the memory of love and the gathered facts surrounding her accident, came to conclusion that her husband and marriage were not good one and decided to divorce him. it didn’t help that Cassian couldn’t put in words his love for her. But Cassandra’s meddling solidify this decision. Meanwhile Cassian truly understood how much he alienated and hurt his wife before the accident.He was drowning in remorse and guilt of neglecting his wife and truly scared of losing love of his life. Cassandra tried to make it look like they are emotionally involved but he absolutely never looked at her in that way. There is no emotional or physical cheating. He only loved his wife. He signed divorce papers even that was the last thing he ever wanted because she wanted peace and freedom. He never stopped loving her and was there for her. He groveled with his actions. Alessia saw him in a new light and understood why she fell in love with him. Eventually she got her memory back.Their happily ever after was so well deserved. I really loved the book and recommend it.
