Award winning author Rosie Hendry lives by the sea in Norfolk with her husband and two children. East End Angels is the first book in her uplifting and heart-warming saga series that follows the lives and loves of Winnie, Frankie and Bella, who all work for the London Auxiliary Ambulance Service (LAAS) during the Blitz. Listening to her father's tales of life during the Second World War sparked Rosie's interest in this period and she loves researching further, searching out gems of real life events which inspire her writing.
I thoroughly enjoyed Wedding Celebrations at Rookery House by Rosie Hendry. It was such a lovely, heartwarming read, and I found myself really invested in all of the characters. There were moments that made me smile, a few emotional parts, and plenty of hope throughout the story.
Rosie Hendry has a wonderful way of bringing the characters and Rookery House to life, making you feel as though you’re right there with them. It was a beautiful ending to the series, and I was sorry to reach the last page.
A lovely read that I’d definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys historical fiction and family sagas. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
