⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A TRUE SIX-STAR READ!

Ruin may be categorized as an erotic romance, but it is so much more than that.

The emotional depth, the complexity of the characters, and the layered relationships pulled me in from the very first page. So many eroticas I've read sacrifice plot, character development, or storytelling for the romance, but Ruin never does. It delivers all of it. The plot is compelling, the characters feel incredibly real, and the pacing is absolutely perfect.

This story is full of love, betrayal, heartbreak, desire, and conflict. It doesn't just entertain you, it challenges you. David, Summer, and Michael's journey forces you to confront emotions, fears, and even personal boundaries you may not have realized you had.

David was everything I want in a male main character. He is the very definition of unconditional love, and I adored him from beginning to end.

Summer was such a refreshing female main character. She's flawed, messy, vulnerable, and incredibly human, which made her feel authentic in every way.

And then there's Michael...

He's the necessary evil of this story. Even after finishing the book, I'm still trying to figure out how I truly feel about him, and I think that's exactly what makes him such a well-written character.

If you've never picked up a book I've recommended before, let this be the one. (Especially if you enjoy MMF romance.) This is the kind of book you'll immediately want to discuss with someone afterward. It's the perfect buddy read or book club pick because there is so much to unpack.

I honestly don't understand why more people aren't talking about this book.

My girl truly hasn’t missed yet! When I first saw the cover for Ruin, something piqued my interest and I knew I would be taking a trip on the wildest ride.. and my instincts didn’t fail me! This story was a journey of so many emotions! It makes you check your biases and prejudices and that’s one thing Nikki-Michelle does well - make you check yourself first in the most unexpected topics. The entanglement, secrets, tension and angst, and the spice! Whew!😅 I really loved David, he was a misunderstood person but he was secure in himself. I adored the friendship David and Summer had but Summer wore me out! I think in a sense, David and Summer had a trauma bond that was deeper than having similar upbringings.. and Michael - I didn’t trust him at all and even at the end, I still gave him the side eye because why are you playing with peoples lives?! I couldn’t put my finger on how this would come together but color me surprised at the plot twist! I wanted to come through the book and knock everything over!!! I didn’t see that twist at all.. smh! I enjoyed this one for sure!

Wow is my first thought.
I was deep in my thoughts with regard to bisexual men after reading this but Summer, David and Michael took me on an unexpected ride that I wasn’t expecting to enjoy as much as I did.
I was not expecting the turn of events that happened towards the end.
Summer and David opened up Pandora’s box and let Michael in to stir the pot with his conniving self.
So many secrets, so much passion, so much love and hate between all these characters.
I still need some closure with Sadi…overall I’m giving this a 4.25🌟

Let’s Set the Mood Right Quick:

Ruin by Nikki-Michelle
Drink: The Ruin
Music: Damage by H.E.R.

David Hall: If “committed” were a person, it would be David. When he loved, he loved with his whole being. His love was somehow both selfless and selfish at the same time.

Summer Kennedy: If “insecure” were a person, it would be Summer. Baby girl had a lot to unpack when it came to the opposite sex.

Michael Pinnock: If “BDE” were a person, it would be Michael. He knew his power and wasn’t afraid to wield it like a weapon.

Nikki-Michelle, why are you like this?! What made you wake up and choose chaos with this book? We were not prepared, but we were absolutely locked in.

It’s been a minute since a book had us this torn up. The mess had us shaking our heads. The drama had us biting our nails. And the passion? Whew. It had us questioning ourselves. There was so much packed into this story that at times it almost felt overwhelming, but that didn’t stop us from turning the pages.

One thing Nikki-Michelle is going to do every single time is make you question your sanity while reading. She doesn’t just tell a story; she creates an experience. And somehow each experience feels completely unique while still being unmistakably hers.

The characters felt incredibly human. They loved. They hurt. They made mistakes. They chased what felt good in the moment and dealt with the consequences later. As in real life, when you play silly games, you win silly prizes. Nikki-Michelle has no problem making her characters reap what they sow, and that’s what makes her stories so compelling.

We don’t know how she managed to write David so steady and dependable while still being capable of bending. How Summer could be so confused while simultaneously knowing exactly what she wanted. Or how Michael could stay on demon time while still showing moments of vulnerability.

It sounds chaotic because it is. That’s the Pandora’s box you’re opening when you pick up this book.
Ruin was the perfect title because by the end, we were absolutely wrecked.

Nikki-Michelle has delivered another masterpiece that will live rent-free in our heads for a very long time. These characters aren’t leaving us anytime soon, and neither is the experience of reading this book.

If you’ve never read Nikki-Michelle before, do yourself a favor and start here.

This isn’t a book you simply read.

It’s a book you experience.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Secrets, passion, and lust are all brewing up a storm. David and Summer are best friends, and Michael is David’s estranged best friend. When Michael arrives on short notice, everyone’s world turns upside down. I liked David and his persistence in wanting to show love to Summer. Summer pissed me off for the majority of the book. Michael was relatable in how he felt, but he came to wreak havoc, then f’d around and found out. The journey this trio takes is one that caused me to experience several emotions reading this book, and I was taken aback by the plot twist.
Nikki-Michelle did a wonderful job of crafting a story that makes you question your own feelings, beliefs, and boundaries. How long does pain dictate your actions? Where are the boundaries when it comes to lust and desire? You’ll have these questions and more as you read, and clutch your pearls several times as Summer, David, and Michael fall to ruin.

Sparks fly whenever best friends Summer Kennedy and David Hall are together. They work together, play together and have keys to each other’s place. There’s one thing holding them back from being TOGETHER together, and that’s Summer’s insecurity about being enough for his sexuality.

Enters Michael, a blast from the past, who has come to shake things up. From day one, he is on a mission and not necessarily in a good way. This man is dangerously, for all parties involved. He has been holding a secret that could potentially ruin their lives.

This remastered story pulled me in from the beginning. The sex scenes were spicy and the drama was even hotter. Let’s just say that there was something about Michael that rubbed me the wrong way, from the day at the restaurant. He was too eager, and I wish Summer would’ve trusted her gut instinct. That plot twist at the end was pure genius! My favorite character goes to David, for his attention to detail when it pertained to Summer. It’s no surprise that Michael is my least favorite character, because of his manipulative, narcissistic behavior.

Ruined

Where truth and lies collide and having your cake and pie and ice cream is served on a platter. I love how the characters were forced to unapologetically confront who they are and what they truly desired instead of what looked acceptable or comfortable. This story gave deep magnetic intense passion, self-discovery, and emotional conflict all twisted in a complicated entanglement they could not break from. It’s hot between the pages! The F goes down a lot! It’s erotic, toxic, heavy, thrilling and wasn’t just about selfish attraction and chemistry and all the sexcapades, the underlying transparency tackled identity denial, desire, vulnerability and deceit from the plot twist and from character who didn’t give a dam about anyone except their own desires. This story had my mind blown and in the end Karma was the cherry on top.

A page turner you definitely want to read about!

First I love book covers and this book cover is intriguing. It's giving "wait what's this about". If spicy with a twist is what you are looking for then grab this up NOW. This isn't just erotica with no depth. Oh no, you're getting action, love, a bit of suspense and some crazy. No for real cuz what.... Micheal do i like you, love you or despise you. I'm still trying to figure it out. Get ready to be teased into a pleasurable read.

He Will Ruin You (ARC Review)

This Is An EROTIC DRAMA NOT A ROMANCE!!

I Came Across This Cover On Threads & Immediately I Was Interested. I Received An ARC & Honestly From Page One Nikki-Michelle Had Locked In, Chets Kiss, Love Love LOVE IT. The Dynamic Between Summer A Sexually Liberated Woman & Her Best Friend David An Openly Bisexual Man Has You Wondering Whats Really Keeping Them From Being Together.
They Do Everything Like A Couple Except Having Sex .... That Is Until Michael Comes Back Into Town. He Was Once Best Friends W. David Before Summer Was In The Picture Until David Betrayed Michael In A Way He Couldn't Let Go Of. He Returns To Discuss & Hopefully Move Past The Hurt. Instead More Devastating Secrets Are Revealed, Tables Are Turned,Trust Is Broken, Swords Are Crossed 😉 & All Connections Are Threatened.

This Book Is Gonna Take You Through The Motions. You're Going To Hate The Characters, You're Going To Love The Characters, You May BE The Characters. This Is Not A Walk Through The Park It's A Lil Lemon Juice On A Cut. It'll Sting For A Bit But You're Just Fine At The End. David, Summer & Michael Are Proof That Threes Company, Funs Guaranteed

Not my normal read very very erotic!!!

Let me first say this book was highly sexual but has a great message! While I wouldn't read anything so graphic, what Michael, David and Sumner discovered about themselves really brought to light a lot of life's issues, how we judge, how we discard others, how people look on other races and how in the end you find out just how much you're willing to go down that rabbit hole. 2 kids are affected by these choices. I thought to myself Sadi was like the forbidden fruit and she yielded to the temptation of who David was because she wanted him at first glance, it was almost like Michael was the consellation prize in a sense. Even after 10+ years, she still would've taken another roll in the sheets with him! That twist about their marital status was so unexpected. I really did enjoy reading this one Nikki Michelle, erotic but with a great message!

Ruin Review! I loved it!

AHH! I stepped back into the world of David and Summer! This is a redo for me. I first met them in Bi-Satisfied; they now have somewhat of a “facelift” in this rerelease book entitled “Ruin”. Author Nikki-Michelle added some juicy tidbits and some bonus scenes that will have you gasping!! I surely did!
What’s understood doesn’t need to be explained is the rule David and Summer lived by since they became the best of friends. But what and who does need to be explained is Michael! But, for which friend!? And for what reason?! And who did what to whom years ago?! And who didn’t tell whom!? And what became of that betrayal? Messy with a capital “M”!

Ruin is a Standalone novel. AND I can also say you will have a revisit from these characters as friends to another group of characters in another re-release from Nikki-Michelle coming soon! Enjoy!!

Summer and David have been best friends as well as business partners for years. David is in love with Summer but she is not comfortable with him being bisexual. David is trying to convince Summer that he’s still all the man that she needs. Things get more complicated when David’s friend Michael comes to town. Michael feels that he has some unfinished business with David. But when Michael meets, Summer things get a little tricky.

Sex, scandal, and lies is what you’re going to find in Ruin. Nikki-Michelle throws so many bombshells in this story that you almost don’t know where to turn. This is an excellent erotic drama but you must have an open mind to read this.Ruin is messy, dirty, and salacious fun.

Chaotic and Messy!!

Jealousy, insecurities, sexual tension, cheating...this toxic trio of "BFFs" made for one hell of an erotic drama! Romantic it is NOT, but messy, spicy AF, and engaging from the very first page, YES. I sat my behind right where I was and didn't move until "the end". The scene in the movie theater 🥵🥵 let's just say no place is too public or private for these three, bystanders be damned. If you're looking for an explosive, scandalous love triangle with a twist that will have you on the edge of your seat, then I highly recommend this one.
