A wish list mix-up leads to a holiday full of knotty fun!
When her parents win a last-minute cruise, perpetually single omega, Gabi, resigns herself to spending Christmas alone. That is until she runs into her childhood best friend, who insists she join him and his pack for the holidays. All he asks is that she make a list of activities for them to relive the holiday magic of their youth.
But when her friend receives her list, it’s decidedly more naughty than nice.
Dane, the charming, nerdy alpha, can’t believe the omega he’s hopelessly in love with wants to get physical. His packmates, Gio, a shy sweetheart alpha who’d love an omega to spoil, Rory, a spicy content creator alpha whose specialty aligns with Gabi’s interests, and Trent, her reformed high school bully eager make amends, all agree to bring her steamy fantasies to life.
After all, what better Christmas gift could any of them ask for than the chance to woo the omega of their dreams?
There’s just one small problem. Gabi didn’t mean to send that list. With a rare medical condition that leaves her disconnected from her instincts, the anxious, touch-starved omega doesn’t believe any alphas would want her.
But Dane and his pack aim to prove her wrong, offering Gabi an unforgettable holiday where, between cozy Christmas cheer, they check off every item on her knotty list.
Can they open Gabi’s heart to the possibility of more than just spicy fun, or will she wish she’d stayed home for the holidays?
On the Knotty List is a why choose MMMFM omegaverse romance with a plus- size omega FMC learning she’s worthy of love and desire, and the pack of four gorgeous, green-flag alpha MMCs who are eager to give her everything she deserves. Expect tons of intense spice, cozy and emotional vibes, boyfriends who are boyfriends, and plenty of holiday cheer.
Tropes ❤️ Best friends to lovers 🎄 Ex-bully groveling ❤️ All four alphas fall first 🎄 Found family ❤️ Spice is the plot 🎄Cozy holiday vibes
Emily loves cozy, emotional, and spicy romances with a monstrous twist. When she isn’t musing on the merits of doting, dominant monsters, she reads an obscene amount of romance novels, and cultivates her eccentric recluse persona.
I really am thrilled this turned into a full length novel that featured such fun pack dynamics and characters.
Gabi having her rare omega condition to not smell pheromones really set this book apart in a good way and made it extra intriguing to see how the guys could convince her she was pack.
Another fantastic addition to this omegaverse world and i can't wait for more.
Thank you so much, Emily Antoinette, for letting me read this as an ARC. I’m always so honored when I get the chance to ARC read her books because they’re some of my absolute favorites.
On the Knotty List is now one of my favorite omegaverse romance books. I absolutely love the Blossomverse universe and I fell in love with her world with Feeling the Heat: Part One and Part Two and Perfect Scent Match, so going into this one I knew it would need to live up to the same hype and it SURE DID.
I loved all of the dynamics between every single character. You fall in love with every single main character. From Gabi, the selfless, caring, and insecure but also confident in certain ways, omega. To the literal cinnamon roll alphas, Dane, Gio, Rory, and Trent.
They all had their unique personalities, and each one of them brought something to the story and the pack and I loved them all so much. Everything was balanced so well from the smut to the mental health and wellness rep to the undeniable SPICE.
It was such a fun, refreshing, and also emotional read. I laughed, I blushed, I cried, and giggled my way through this book and I seriously just cannot say enough good things about this entire story, except that I can’t wait for everyone to be able to read this.
Absolutely a million stars from me all around. OH, I’m also SO EXCITED I already preordered the deluxe book bundle from her store because I just knew I’d love this and I did. 🙂↕️
Well welcome back to Blossomverse Omegaverse, this time we meet Gabi, Dane, Gio, Trent and Rory. Gah, I love omegaverse and when the group share, grow and connect, (not just in the nest) but personally, it is the best.
Through multiple POVs, you can see how each character compliments each other in some manner. They each have their own unique personalities, where one is confident or struggling another provides support and comfort. Everyone finds a place within the pack, the banter, teasing and comradery between each of the mmc's is well developed.
Gabi's inner monologue really resonated with me. That critical voice creating a hostile loop, fueling a cycle of stress, self-doubt, and a deep lack of trust. Life experiences contribute and learning to undo these can be hard. I appreciated the exploration of kink and how Gabi found structure, belonging and trust while they explored.
Perfect read for those that enjoy holiday outings, wrapped in cozy, high heat activities. From the spice, kink, and mental health representation, everything was balance so well.
And you know your limits, so read the author's content warnings. Thank you Emily Antoinette for this ARC. I received an advanced copy.
Whew, I think this is the kinkiest book I've read of hers. I especially loved the doll scene and the auction scene. Rory was my favourite of the men, but I had the feeling he wasn't the author's favourite as he didn't get any plotline or character growth of his own.
I read in the acknowledgements that Gabi's insecurity came from a personal place and I definitely respect that. I just found myself losing patience with Gabi because I saw no progress. She hid behind her kinks so she didn't have to grow and heal, and it took until the end of the book for that to change. Her insecurity-ridden inner monologue was a slog to read through. Gabi really felt sorry for herself and remarked on how sad her life is without any initiative to change that. She really was waiting for someone to rescue her. Wish we saw more of her new-found bravery to stand up for herself against her parents, for example.
wow, what a ride - a very kinky one! 5 chili peppers This is for everyone out there who has a free use kink na dloves to be in subspace or who has ever wondered what that might feel like. I personally didn't know about subspace, but being an avid reader of omegaverse stories, it was bound to happen.
I really liked the characters and the multitude of different views on one topic. From very kinky to sub alphas, you have everything in there. And I liked the idea that the omega of this story is not the typical one and has a "disease". Extra bonus points for not "healing" her in the end! (I hate when authors do that, so unrealistic).
On the Knotty List quickly became one of my favorite holiday omegaverse books. I devoured this so fast and enjoyed every spicy, kinky minute of it.
Gabi is an omega who, essentially, has a disability. She can't scent pheromones or recognize the cues most omegas instinctually know and follow. She sees herself as broken. She was heavily bullied in high school and made to feel like her inability to recognize scents was tied to her worth and value, causing her to have a lot of negative internal self-talk. However, when she is home for Christmas and housesitting her parents house (don’t get me started on her family), she runs into her old best friend, Dane. They reconnect and he tells her to send a list of all the Christmas things she wants to do while visiting. He’ll bring his pack and they will do them all together.
However, Gabi sends the wrong list by accident. What should have been a list about ice skating and going to the Christmas market is a list of all kinky things she wishes she could try. Dane, Gio, Trent, and Rory aren’t at all vanilla and they invite her to complete both lists with them for the two weeks she is in town. Except, they want to keep her a lot longer than two weeks. Dane is her scent match, Trent was her high school bully, Gio is Dane’s mate, and Rory wants an omega to connect their pack. Gabi is about to have her world rocked.
I literally read until 1am to finish this and couldn’t stop. I related to Gabi’s internal thoughts way more than I want to admit. Trent, Gio, Rory, and Dane all had so many real moments of self doubt or questions about themselves as well. And yet, there wasn’t any real third act break up. The angst was real but low overall and the sexy shenanigans were top notch. I already loved the Blossomverse so dang much and this is officially my favorite book in that series so far.
Rating: 5 ⭐️ Spice: 5❗🌶️ Tropes: omegaverse • scent matched friends, but she doesn't know • broken omega️ • free use • kink exploration
This is possibly, almost certainly, the spiciest story I've ever read. Like it broke my spice scale, and I'm not mad about it 😱
The book goes from one spicy, kink-exploring scene to the next, but Emily Antoinette doesn't give you just spice - nono, she manages to squeeze in a heartbreaking story about an omega with a medical condition that makes her think that no one will ever want her. Oh, and of course holiday spirit, cozy vibes and the utter loneliness that only the holidays can trigger, are mixed in there as well.
The result is - at least for me - a book that leaves you hot, bothered and utterly heartbroken. Not a mix I would think I'd enjoy. I should note that between the spice and the heartbreak, the story isn't a light and easy read.
The only caveat I have about the book is the total lack of introducing the history of the established pack of alphas. It was a glaring hole in the story for me, with the pack having such interesting backstories. How did they meet? How did Trent become friends with Dane (two of the alphas having an adversarial history)? Why is Rory the newest member of the pack - and how did he join it, if he didn't join at the same time as his best friend? And so on...
I found these questions frustrating to a degree that it almost took away from the fantastic book that this is.
This book is for you if you want the spiciest of the spicy books, but also a story of healing deep mental wounds through care and kink!
Smutty Christmas goodness. This was a sweet, spicy little story with some seriously hot pack dynamics.
I absolutely loved that we had three Doms (Dane, Rory and Trent) and a submissive (Gio). Say no more. 😏 Gio was such a sweetheart. He’s shy and a little embarrassed that he isn’t your typical alpha, and I just wanted to give him a hug.
Rory is just ridiculously hot, and Trent definitely grew on me. He had some grovelling to do, but I think he proved that he’d changed since high school, and I ended up really liking him as part of the pack.
And then there’s Dane. THAT MAN HAS BEEN IN LOVE WITH GABI FOR YEARS. 😍
My biggest issue was that we only really get to see these two weeks of them getting down and dirty with Gabi. I wanted more of what came afterwards. More relationship development, more of them settling into life together as a pack. It just felt like something was missing, and I would have loved that extra little bit at the end.
I also found the constant reminders of how broken Gabi feels as an omega a little repetitive. I understand it’s a big part of her character and her insecurities, but after a while, it started to get a little annoying hearing about it so frequently.
Overall, an enjoyable, spicy Christmas read with some lovely pack dynamics. I just wanted a little more relationship development alongside all the smut!
This is MMMFM. Dane and Gio are together and Trent joins in for the sexual stuff but isn’t in a relationship with them.
This delicious Christmas omegaverse is part of the Blossomverse Omegaverse series and can be read as a standalone.
FMC Gabi is an omega with a rare condition that makes it impossible for her to scent her perfect match. She has given up on love completely, but when she finds herself alone for the holidays, she takes her childhood best friend up on the opportunity to spend time with him and his pack. Her holiday to-do list gets mixed up with her naughty wish list, but the pack is more than happy to help her with all of her holly jollies.
I loved this book! I could not put it down and stayed up way too late finishing it in one night. Gabi was such a sweetheart, and it was easy to see why all the alphas fell for her immediately. Each of the four MMCs has his own unique personality, and I would have trouble picking one to be my favorite as they all added a lot to the dynamic. There were a ton of sweet holiday moments mixed in with copious amounts of spice. The story spans from Thanksgiving to New Year's, making it a perfect end-of-the-year holiday read.
Overall, a fantastic and spicy Christmas read! I haven’t read any of the other books in the Blossomverse Omegaverse series, but now I can’t wait to check them out.
Gabi has a rare medical condition that makes her unable to do things a “normal” omega would. Due to the condition and a mildly traumatic experience in high school she struggles with self worth and insecurity. After a Christmas wishlist mix up her best friend and his pack of alphas explore all of her naughty and kinky fantasies while navigating an omega who doesn’t believe anyone could want her. I loved that the development of each relationship was shown instead of just one big group dynamic. Gio and Dane were so sweet I wanted to scream, Rory is just the right amount of confident dominance, and while I really didn’t want to like Trent he grew on me by the end with his endearing personality and perfect rat babies. While they definitely had a lot of group fun 👀, they all had very distinct relationships with each other and Gabi. Don’t get me wrong this book was very high heat but the character development was also really well done. Each character had their own shit to work through and while they could all use some in depth therapy this showed how kink can help heal certain parts of a person. If you are looking a kinky holiday romance with just enough coziness and communication to make you feel all warm and fuzzy this is an amazing read!!!!
It’s been a while since I’ve read OV, & what a way to get back into it!
Gabi isn’t your typical omega. A medical condition means she’s unable to scent anyone’s pheromones. A cruel trick played on her during high school has made her feel unworthy of being in a pack. She’s defective. Who would want her?
Faced with spending Christmas alone as her parents head off on a cruise, her best friend, Dane, offers to take her out & about & complete a Christmas to do list with her. But when Gabi sends Dane her to do list, he gets more than he bargained for - & enlists the assistance of his pack.
Meeting with Gabi, it quickly becomes clear that she sent the wrong list - she sent her spicy to do list!
Can Dane & his pack help this omega who’s stuck in her head begin to actually live her life & let herself have some fun. Are the four alphas able to give her what she needs & convince her that she’s it for them? Do Christmas miracles come true?
I am not huge into Omegaverse but I adore Emily's writing. The mix of cute, heartwarming, and spicy storylines make each book easy to read and I fall in love with the characters. This is an interconnected standalone for her other Omegaverse novels and I was able to understand the story without having read the books before this. Each MMC was so different but Emily found a way to make them all mesh well as a pack and for each one to have a quality/qualities that helped the FMC in her journey. I also loved that while the end was a HEA, it wasn't like all of the insecurities the MCs have been dealing with were magically solved just because they wanted to be together. It was rough and real and made the book relatable in a way I wouldn't expect from an Omegaverse novel (given the very few I have read before). Emily is an auto buy author for me and I will always recommend her work!
I received an ARC of this book but this is my honest opinion. I LOVED this book! It has everything I love in a cosy Christmas setting! Each character is so unique and we'll put together and you can't help but fall for all of them. I loved their growth, acceptance and sweet moments throughout the book. I can't gush enough about how sweet and adorable this book is and how it deals with heavy topics so well and so thoughtfully. I really connected with and felt for all of the characters and loved watching their journeys through the book. I would definitely recommend this book to MMMFM romance readers who like their books spicy and kinky! It's the perfect book to read around Christmas and I will definitely be rereading it again soon!
This is an amazing and wild ride. One of my favourite Emily Antoinette books by far.
I relate so much to Gabi, on a mental and emotional level. My heart broke for her and stitched itself together with her. When she cried, I wanted to cry because I understood where she was coming from.
The spice was incredible and sometimes had me kicking my feet in glee. Weird response, yes. But the story was just that sweet!
I love the way Emily portrays the insecurities of her FMCs but also how she does it for her MMCs as well. They are flawed, broken and beautiful souls all looking for acceptance and love.
I loved this book, it had a bit of everything, found family, friends to lovers, Alphas and Omega relationships, Submissive and Doms, a plus size Omega, confidence issues. Definitely not boring.
This book focuses around Gabi, who after returning home for Thanksgiving runs into her best friend Dane. They agree to spending time together at Christmas and meeting Dane's packmates, Gio, Rory and Trent. A mistaken but very kinky plan emailed over to Dane from Gabi, leads to a lot of spice.
I loved each of the characters and didnt want to put the book down.
The way I ate this book up???? I think one thing I adored the most about this book was seeing Gabi open herself up to the idea of love and being enough despite her constantly thinking she's "broken". I loved seeing her interact with each alpha as they each brought something different out of her, but I gotta give it to Trent on this one.
This is definetly one of those omegaverses that's perfect to read if you want to get into the holiday spirit but also read some filthy af scenes while still getting a great storyline to follow.
This was an incredibly sweet, extremely spicy holiday read! Every single character in this pack was damaged, but together they were absolutely perfect! There were so many things to love! Childhood friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, Dom/sub dynamics, and a kinky Christmas list and ALL the feels! I absolutely recommend this book to anyone who loves omegaverse stories, and have already ordered a copy for my trophy shelf!
ARC Review: AHHHHHH this had everything I wanted and more. I loved the dynamic of this group! The MMMFM of it all was so fun!! It was great seeing everyone having their role and feeling like separate characters while still all complimenting one another so nicely. I loved it. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was how long Dane and Gabi took to confess the truth to each other and themselves. Wanted to slap them silly. But it was a great read. Would recommend
I absolutely adored this book! I loved Gabi and the pack! I really enjoyed the plot and the spice and boy, was it spicy! But even without the spice, i really enjoyed the chemistry between the characters and the dates/Christmas activities they checked off the list. It was a really sweet read and I loved how they ended up together!
This was a fun and sexy OV. Gabe cannot smell pheromones and doesn’t know that her best friend is hers. Being alone for Christmas she accidentally sends his pack her naughty list and they embrace it. They not only embrace everything she wants to do but also want to show her that they can be the pack for her.
Loved the packs dynamic! MMMFM, AAAOA, with 1 scent matched pair. They explored past relationships and the blending of friends to enemies to lovers and friends to lovers and of course 2 new Alphas she hadnt met yet. High heat (no OV heat & no bonding with the FMC), mental health rep, and k!nk elements.
Well the spice was definitely spicing. Connections between FMC and MMCs were sweet as pie. Wish there was a bit more plot rather than mostly internal warring. Double wish she told her family to eat 💩 at some point for an even happier ending lol.
