Barbara Elsborg lives in Kent in the south of England. She always wanted to be a spy, but having confessed to everyone without them even resorting to torture, she decided it was not for her. Volcanology scorched her feet. A morbid fear of sharks put paid to marine biology. So instead, she spent several years successfully selling cyanide.

After dragging up two rotten, ungrateful children and frustrating her sexy, devoted, wonderful husband (who can now stop twisting her arm) she finally has time to conduct an affair with an electrifying plugged-in male, her laptop.

Her books feature quirky heroines and bad boys, and she hopes they are as much fun to read as they are to write.

E'ery once in a while I dig some self-created drama and Talking Trouble filled my quota for a little while.

This book started off great! We're introduced to Flint, world renowned movie star, hitting all the parties after wrapping his latest film. He is imbibing like Charlie Sheen and he's also getting blown by some chick who's name he doesn't know, but promises to help her get famous. During said blow job then exits rapidly after the big finish. He can't be held accountable for things said in the heat of the moment, right? He quickly heads to some random domme's basement where he asks for a beating, decides about two minutes into said beating that this was a bad call, but he's forgotten his safeword. Dumbass.

Self destructive character?

 photo GIF-aww-yea-bite-lip-Christopher-Walken-dat-ass-sexytime-GIF_zpsftgyswbq.gif

By Chapter 4 I was engrossed. Mr. Self Destruct has lost the ability to speak or understand others. Global aphasia secondary to a stroke at 33! EEP! He gets whisked away to Yorkshire by his publicist to begin recuperating and meets Mollie on the jogging trail shortly after she's moved into Lysander's house with his other roommates, Aden, Jean-Paul and Nikki. Flint's work with both his speech therapist and Mollie begins to give him back his voice, but he has trouble throughout the book, which I found endearing. Of the three MCs I liked Flint the best.

Mollie's fled London and her abusive dickweed of a boyfriend. TRIGGER WARNING! DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ON THE PAGE. Mollie is a bit of a Mary Sue and has a martyr complex, but she does have her moments and I didn't want to drop her in a vat of hydrochloric acid, so that's a win. She's also very accepting of both Lysander and Flint's sexuality. She gets points for that.

Lysander is an artist who's isolating himself in the countryside. I think part of it is punitive for a wrong he feels he's committed (which he did! He totally did!), and part of me wanted to feel sorry for him, but he's a douche. I get why he's a douche and that part of it is a defense mechanism, but still.

All of these characters are imperfect which I actually think is a feather in the cap for Elsborg. The fact that I wanted to center punch all of them at one point or another added to my enjoyment and, really, who wants to read about perfect plastic people? Not I.

The way the character's storylines and backstories are interwoven played out nicely, held my attention and pushed the pace. Then there was the sex.

 photo tumblr_mdat9mqmXQ1rciaado1_500_zpsptlsh7q0.gif

They had to work through some insecurities, but I liked the way communicated, among other things.

“Being bisexual is difficult,” Lysander said. “I’m not saying being gay is easy, but when you’re attracted to both sexes, want both sexes, the chance of having a relationship that satisfies all your needs is very small. Society might be coming round to the idea that being gay is okay, but they’re not there yet with bisexuality. We’re seen as gays reluctant to come out and a threat to other sexual identities.”

“Talk too much,” Flint said. “Do things.”

And they did.

 photo tumblr_mb7whgbckK1qbp5ffo1_500_zps8ovh3hkq.gif

There was dirty talk and manlove and a daisy chain and some cheesy dialogue that made me chortle. It were the shit! Even when I was like, 'say whaaaaaaa?!!?' I still kept turning the pages like a maniac.

The drama is soap operaesque and easily resolved and, therefore, unbelievable. Did I care? Not in the slightest. As a matter of fact, the whole ex-boyfriend turned stalker who's also a cop that keeps turning up like a bad penny just got to be comic relief.

 photo oh-no-not-you-again_zpsbmbvqu9m.png

He is very persistent and a crazy train. And that train gets a helluva lot of mileage.

But the ending was sweet. I hope for their sake's the bad penny doesn't make another 1,987,354,025 appearances in their lives BEFORE THEY ACTUALLY CALL THE COPS!

An entertaining, fluffy, brain candy read that will appeal to m/m/f enthusiasts. Celebrate Bisexual Awareness week with this!

**Reviewers note: As we know that some situations can be triggers for readers, this book has a scene that features domestic violence and later an attempted kidnapping.

Every time I read a book by Barbara Elsborg I am blown away by the depth of the story, by the realism in her characters, and by the amount of emotions she brings forth in me as I get drawn in to her fictional world. While this book is a M/M/F ménage story it is about so much more; the three people who are drawn together each have their own story to tell, their own burdens to bear, and their own issues to deal with. They are each a little bit broken and while the two men seem destined to be angry and frustrated with what has happened to them in their lives, the woman chooses to not dwell and keep moving forward which lands her directly in both of their paths. This is a story of three people healing past hurts, overcoming huge hurdles, and believing that with the love they all share together they can do anything. This was a profound and intense story but it is also beautiful and amazing and another reason I keep reading everything this author puts out.

Three main characters, all fighting to get on even ground again; Flint Klavan is a movie star whose life has changed in an instant, Mollie James is a teacher who finds herself in a situation she never thought possible and Lysander Weldon is an artist who is trying to paint away his pain.

Mollie rents a room from Lysander and befriends Flint (whom she doesn't recognize at first) and finds herself attracted to both men and knows they are to her. She's fascinated by Lysander's talent as an artist and while she finds him arrogant she can't help but smile at his charm and wit. She knows Flint (who she at first refers to as hoodie guy because she can't see all of his face) has had some sort of accident that has affected his speech and part of his hearing. She sets out to help him and find out he's a famous actor and she vows to help him because she enjoys his company and knows somehow she calms his fears.

I very much enjoyed Mollie's friendship with both men with each being very different. I felt for her being so confused by the riot of emotions both men brought forth in her and for her fear of being hurt after escaping her past. When the two men meet another layer to this story begins and it was very interesting as past events were uncovered and the emotional toll it took on them all. Through everything they worked together to help Flint recover, help Lysander learn to forgive, and help Molly deal with an ex who just won't go away. I loved that while they knew becoming a triad wouldn't be easy, they also knew that without each other (all three of them) their lives would not be complete.

Talking Trouble is another brilliantly written story by author Barbara Elsborg; emotional and sexy and not to be missed.

KCLU - 4 Stars
This book drew me in from the beginning. I didn’t know what direction the author was taking these characters, but I really wanted to know more. Three completely separate stories that you had no idea would come together to be this complexly beautiful story.

I don’t know how to tell y’all much about this story without giving away things I would consider spoilers. You have the two man-whores hiding painful pasts and a woman that is literally broken by the man she was seeing. They all end up in each other’s paths through matters of chance, but when they come together it is clear to see they bring out the best in each other, even when all around them is the worst this world can offer. This is not an easy flowery love story. The path to HEA is built with one stumbling block after another, but by leaning on each other they build something that no one can break down.

I love Barbara’s writing! You never get what you are expecting, and she always grabs hold of me until I reach the end. I can never put her books down to focus on the real world, and this one lives up to those expectations. The twists and turns of this story are ones that I will be thinking of for days and weeks to come. I highly recommend snatching this one up!!!

Really liked this one. Reminded me of a blend of Flowers from the Storm (not historical though, lol), combined with a touch of The Reluctant Nude, and the MMF triangle.

A little too heavy on the sex scenes for some of the latter half of the book, and wrapped up a little too quickly and neatly, which cost a good half star on my rating.

Color me shocked, but this is one of the best erotic romance novels I've ever read. Hell, it's DAMN close to one of the best novels of any fiction genre, period.

British actor Flint Klavan is a hot mess...he's a celebuslut, he takes too many drugs, he drinks too much alcohol, and lately he can't even feel his fingers.

Elementary school teacher Mollie James is a hot mess...she's just discovered that her perfect, charming boyfriend has morphed into an unrecognizable abusive monster, he's crossed the line from verbally into physically abusive, one she flees from as soon as she has the chance.

Artist Lysander Weldon is a hot mess...he uses fast, furious and frequent sex to avoid thinking about the heartbreak of his past, the people he's loved and lost.

Flint, Mollie and Lysander are all running from something. In the small British town of Thurston, the three of them might just be too damaged to see the potential for a unique and everlasting love.

TALKING TROUBLE immediately captivated me with its dark and disturbing introductory chapters, evoking sympathy for all three characters in drastically different ways. I struggled with the synopsis of this review, not wanting to give away too much of the story so that other readers can experience the same emotional impact upon discovering the various facets of Flint, Mollie and Lysander. I felt utterly and completely sucked in by this story, and on one hand I couldn't turn the pages fast enough, while on the other I never ever wanted this gem to end, it was just that spectacular.

Complex and vivid, the issues that hound all three main characters could've sent any of them into a depth of depression, but all of them rose above in their own ways. Mollie used humor and sarcasm to make her burden seem lighter, Flint used his career as an actor to help rehab some debilitating issues, and Lysander uses his art to connect with people on even the basest level.

The sex was stunning and erotic and so so good. When the men finally got together, it somehow felt like coming home, an interesting feeling to invoke in a reader. Their love didn't feel muted by the inclusion of Mollie, and if anything the chemistry between all three of them became more solid and unbreakable.

Bottom Line: Ms. Elsborg's book is truly something special that will take you through the gamut of emotions and bring you out the other side a more positive person. - See more at: http://glbt.theromancereviews.com/vie...

I completely loved this story. The beginning sort of dragged for me as we were learning about three seperate lives, but once they started to twist together the book became so hard for me to put down. It was a bit on the longer side, but I really don't know how there could've been anything taken from it.

There is a lot going on with each character and in the end there is great closure for all I believe.

The scenes between all three were super hot and you could feel the love that had been lost and refound between the men along with the need and passionate that came with Mollie being added to the mix.

I would totally pick up another book by this author as I couldn't wait to find out how everything went for all of them all the way until the very end, where we were blessed with another little surprise.

I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.

This story was near on perfection for me. One subplot stopped me from giving it 5 stars. I'm loathe to say why as it would involve giving away spoilers and just because it didn't work for me, doesn't mean others won't be intrigued.

Likewise, I saw a reviewer mention not liking Lysander, so I went in totally expecting to dislike him. But his take no prisoners, honest and often brutal approach gelled with me. While my heart broke for Flint, at times I found his plight a little overdone. And the writing, while necessary, became annoying.

Mollie, Mollie, Mollie, good gollie Ms Mollie. What a mixed bag you were. Ultimately, I feel, this story was your journey and what a journey. Thank you for taking me along for the ride.

I highly recommend this story to people who enjoy a well written erotic romance, with M/F, M/M/F and M/M interaction.

Now I'm running off to check out more work, but this no longer new to me author.

It felt to me like the author hates women. Other than the main character, who was portrayed as stupid and willing to let an abusive asshole get away with it (like anyone wouldn't believe someone who walks into a police station or hospital all beat to hell regardless of other circumstances) all the other female characters were vapid, immature cunts who were either willing to see another woman abused, couldn't tell when someone didn't want to be abused, or couldn't handle a purely sexual relationship. Even the fucking care taker (the female one only) was a complete bitch for no given reason. As if. And barring the main antagonist, all the male characters were of course portrayed as calm, mature, tragic, whatever. It makes me sick to think that women read this shit and don't recognise the mysoginy.

I'll keep this short because it's good, but I think I actually liked With or Without him better.

Ménage m/f/m

This one had some depth, some twisty plot, believable (sorta) trio, and it all equaled out to OK. If you like ménage, this is better written than many.

I found Lysander Weldon unpleasant in the beginning, Flint seemed like a typical self destructive twit in the beginning ( I liked him much better after he became ill ), but Mollie James is an endearing woman who let herself slowly fall down a slippery slope that many abused woman find themselves falling into. One minute Mollie’s live in boyfriend is sweet, buying her candy or flowers and the next he is belittling, insulting, cruel, physically abusive etc. This is common with abusers, they know how to be charming in the beginning and then later when the charm wears away their cruelty is the ‘victim’s fault’ and all the while abusers isolate their victims from family & friends.

There is a line in the book where she remembers the man her boyfriend had once been and she asks herself how long had she been fooling herself. Mollie tried everything she could to jump through whatever hoops he demanded she jump through but eventually she listened to her instinct and her inner voice...thank goodness because if she had stayed, she would have died. Many victims stay and they die.

When I began reading this book I did not like Lysander, I felt a little for Flint, but I loved Mollie; I wanted to hug her and tell her that she had the right to be happy and safe. Mollie is the reason I continued reading the story.

I finished reading this book and it was totally worth it. When the three of them began a sexual relationship together it did not seemed rushed as is often the case in some contemporary erotic MMF romance stories. It was great reading how these three people grew together and reading how their three way love grew.

Flint’s speech at the end was funny and touching.

Five stars.

Nice mix of story, characters, and (of course) a fair amount of MMF steam

I am a fan of this author's work, as there is always a healthy dose of sizzle and usually enough "substance" as well. The character, relationship, and plot development were meaty enough to keep my interest, both on their own as well as nicely heightening the various heated scenes sprinkled throughout the story.

There were a couple of novel devices that added a little extra enticement for me. Some of the character situations were a bit different than most of what I've seen in m/m (or m/m/f) erotic romances, although there were plenty of "typical" romance tropes as well. A "normal" work-a-day teacher falls in with two famous (or at least well-off) men who each have their own very significant relationship issues and physical/emotional challenges, and some of those challenges were different enough to spike my interest. I didn't anticipate how things would wrap together and, while it was a bit quick and pat, it was still fulfilling enough for a steamy three-part romance.

Recommended for: enthusiasts of heated MMF romances with somewhat substantive (if quick-moving) character/relationship/story

Elsborg has never let me down yet, and this is no exception. While not completely up my alley, this was excellently written, the story just flowing so smoothly and I flew through it. Some of the plot lines I side-eyed, one in particular making me want to bang my head occasionally, but the rest of the story made up for it. Smoking hot, with every possible pairing of the three MCs. Highly recommend for fans of menage, that like slightly fluffy, overly dramatic, but highly entertaining reads.

Great Book

This book was really good. I found it insightful, inspiring, and different from other books in the same genre. The concept was interesting and very well done.

I did not like how quickly Lysander gave up on his anger. I think him easily listening to Mollie was a bit unrealistic. He had been angry for years but gave it up because some woman he'd known no longer than 1-3 months said so, I just can't get behind that.

Otherwise, I found this book to be well written and interesting.

Talking Trouble is a MMF romance by Barbara Elsborg. I Really liked the story of a triad. Flint, Lysander and Mollie are interesting and well developed characters that pulled me into their story. The story itself is well written, hot and entertaining. I love that we get all three of their points of view. Definitely satisfying read.

Talking Trouble is so much fun, heart warming, fresh and reads so smooth. “Moll..ee” is just right for these 2 and they (Flint and Lysander) just fit the bill for what you want in a MMF book!! Loved it, laughed with it and truly just enjoyed the whole story start to finish!! Great Read!!

Barbara Elsborg has done it again! A beautiful, funny, romantic story between 3 troubled tortured people all carrying the trauma of past relationships. I don't think anyone can surpass this author for storytelling. I devoured this book, and did not want it to end! Best read for a long time.

This is my first book by this author, and I will be reading others. I loved all of the characters, Lysander, Mollie, and Flint. They shouldn't have worked, but somehow they did. I believe there should be a trigger warning with this story, as some may not feel comfortable with Mollie and her ex. All in all a very good book.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

I loved this book. Talking Trouble features my favorite type of ménage relationship – one woman with two bisexual men. I haven’t read many novels in which the two men have a prior relationship and are reunited by the woman between them and the few I have were a bit awkward and rather angsty considering that the characters tended to be in their late twenties or older. So I wasn’t sure how well it would play out. But having read Ms. Elsborg before and having enjoyed her writing immensely, I was quick to grab this one and I am oh so very glad I did.

I found each of the main characters fascinating in their own way. The author does a wonderful job using each of the first three chapters to introduce us to Flint, Mollie, and Lysander and then continues to alternate between the characters’ points of view for an even fuller look into how they each fare within the relationship that ultimately develops. In an effort not to spoil the book for others, I will say that I found the incident that left Flint speechless utterly terrifying and realistic. Although I was able to suss out what happened before he did, I found myself afraid for Flint as his world was turned upside down. His subsequent confusion and depression were completely understandable and it was no surprise that he was so elated when he was able to connect with Mollie. Or that he latched onto her so thoroughly when they were able to communicate. But this was not the sole source of his fascination with her. Flint felt an attraction for Mollie that he hadn’t felt for a woman in years. In fact, it was almost on par with his feelings for the only person who broke his heart…Lysander. Yes, THAT Lysander. Lysander is the cocky yet tortured artist and as the book plays out we learn that he truly is tortured. While part of Lysander’s “torture” is of his own making part is not, but even he is unaware of the truth behind his tragedy. Just as Mollie plays a huge part in Flint’s recovery, she also finds herself at Lysander’s side as his truths are revealed. Mollie is an interesting enigma in that she projects a happy innocence yet proves to be far more open-minded and accepting of Lysander and Flint than either expected, especially when learning of their past relationship. And it is Mollie’s secrets that have the power to destroy their budding happiness… or save it.

The relationships that develop between the characters in Talking Trouble were each unique. Yes both men were attracted to Mollie and she to them, but the relationship she developed with Flint was entirely different from her relationship with Lysander. While there is quite a bit of drama and conflict in the book, it isn’t muddled with unnecessary angst. There are a few moments of angst as each character tries to decide if the other two would be better off without him or her, but it wasn’t the back and forth “should I/shouldn’t I” that dragged on and on unnecessarily. Despite the heightened emotions and injured feelings, these characters actually communicated – they talked to one another and worked out their issues. Once they began to form their ménage relationship, any ganging up of two parties on one was to prove to the one that they were a vital part of the relationship. The chemistry was electric and this made for some sizzling sex scenes, complete with MF, MM, MFM, and MMF interactions. I found myself reading later into the night than planned and waking early the following morning to finish it because I had to know how Ms. Elsborg would give Flint, Mollie, and Lysander the happy ending they deserved. And the Epilogue was perfect! My only complaint is that their story is over because I absolutely adored these characters and would love to read more books about them.

I really liked this book. I'm a huge fan of ménage relationships. Lysander, Mollie and Flint are all facing life in a hard way. Lysander, an artist, is filled with guilt over the death of his wife/unborn child. Flint an actor, has suffered from a stroke and had to relearn words and meanings. Mollie, a schoolteacher, is in an abusive relationship with a cop.

Somehow they all come together. And form a beautiful trio relationship.

Lysander and Flint have a past. And the reconnecting link between them is Mollie. They both fall for her and thus rekindle their relationship and start a new one all together.

I adored Mollie. My heart broke her at the beginning. Knowing the love she thought she had with her boyfriend has become obsessive and abusive. She gets herself out of that situation for which I was proud. I understood why she didn't go to the police but sometimes I felt she acted too flippant about her abuse. She kept saying he hit her. No he didn't. He beat the shit out of her. He terrified her. He controlled everything about her.
I liked her as a person. I loved her with Lysander and Flint. She was just so understanding, protective, patient and witty. Always supporting them and making them laugh.

Lysander was a soul drowning his pain with distractions like sex and art. He's surrounded himself with roommates so he wouldn't be alone. He's suffering over the losses he think he and Flint caused. I liked the side of him that Flint and Mollie bought out. He was softer. More playful and considerate.

Flint... I struggled a little with his chapters at the beginning. It took a little while for me to warm up to him. His stroke changed him. I think it bought him a little more perspective and grounded him back in the real world which he needed. It was hard to read his struggles but he never gives up. I loved his walks with Mollie. I loved how she gave him stickers when he got words right. I loved him reconnecting with Lysander and them putting the past behind them and starting over with Mollie.

But my favourite part of Talking Trouble was undoubtedly them all beginning a relationship together. They cherished each other. Their sex scenes were fun, sweet and uniting.

But I do have some thoughts on what could have been better. Honestly I didn't really want Talking Trouble to end. I could have kept reading which is why I was a little disappointed with the abrupt ending.
I just wish we had got more time with them together and their relationship. They don't all meet up until over 50% of the book. And then other things like her ex and Flint's career kind of get in the way or speeds things along too fast.
The last chapter and the epilogue were a little disappointing. We get this information about Mollie's past with her Dad chucked at us and it's supposed to be a bigger scoop for the press than their Flint's stroke, Lysander's sexual preferences and lies about Mollie being with them for their fame and glory?? Huh?? What journalist would trade for that. Lol
Also I was a little sad at the ending. Lysander declares his feelings but Flint and Mollie don't get a chance too. I would have liked them all saying I love you to each other, even though we know that's how they felt.
And the epilogue covered things for Flint's career but what about everyone else. Does Mollie return to teaching? Does Lysander display his paintings of Mollie? Does he sell his house? Does he ever hear back from his former in laws? What is their relationship like all living together? Do they have the children that they mentioned they might want to have?

I would have loved more. Maybe a sequel in future? I would definitely read it.

P.S. My favourite character might have been Jean-Paul. He was a hoot!

Another great, sexy story by Barbara Elsborg. I always look forward to her stories because I know there will be witty banter, and this was no exception. I also like her stories because the characters often find unusual ways to help the other characters. It was certainly fortuitous that Mollie was a teacher. Once she realized what was wrong with Flint, she had the patience and the know-how to re-teach him reading and speaking. I can't even imagine Flint's panic. I know people can have strokes when they're younger, but it's so rare. He was literally trapped in his own mind for a while. I was glad when he found Mollie.

And then there's Lysander. Initially, he seems kind of like a very cold guy. He lays out very early on that he wants to screw Mollie, but Mollie doesn't cave as so many others have. Beyond that, she can kind of see inside him where others haven't even looked. Her refusal intrigues him, but he also gets that she has much more depth than many of his bedpartners.

For her part, Mollie is running and hiding from an abusive relationship. I give her a lot of credit for figuring out a way to leave him after the very first beating. Sadly, some women believe the men when they say they won't do it again. Mollie saw the writing on the wall, and since her boyfriend (soon to be ex) was a cop, she also didn't think she could go to the police. His word against hers. So she ran. And I think she did it rather smartly. Too bad her ex was such a good investigator. :-/ Good thing she had TWO knights in shining armor to help her.

The fact that Lysander and Flint have history and Mollie has just met them both is completely happenstance. If Flint's manager had known Lysander was just next door, he never would have moved Flint where he had for recovery. And the fact that Mollie is attracted to both of them and doesn't want to choose is serendipity to the boys. Flint and Lysander are both bisexual, and neither really want to ignore either side of their sexuality. That Mollie is open to that is a little mind-blowing to them, but they absolutely take advantage for some sexy times. Besides the sexy times, though, is a great story of bringing two men who obviously love each other back together and healing them both in different ways. I absolutely loved Flint's Oscar acceptance speech. I loved that he winged it and I loved that he acknowledged his love for both of his lovers. Very sweet.

Flint, high flying actor. When faced with a life changing illness, he runs and hides. Mollie, running from her abusive ex finds herself next door to Flint. But she doesn't immediately recognise who Flint is. And Lysander, artist in hiding after the death of his wife and unborn child.

Three lives cross paths. Three lives full of pain. Three lives with so much love to give.

This is the first I've read of Barbara Elsborg's books, and it will most definately not be the last. I was blown away!

The story does take a while to get itself together but thats good because we need to see what happens to Flint, Mollie and Lysander before they all come together in this time and place. We need to fall with Flint as he is struck by his illness. We need to suffer with Mollie through that beating. And we need to wanna punch Lysander in the nose for being such an d**khead!!! He was awful toward the beginning of this book, but once he took his head out of his behind he was a different person. Especially when with Mollie and Flint.

As the story lines of these three converge, the story picks up pace. There are one or three surprises along the way! Surprises that casued me to NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO and to RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN and to YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY at the kindle, rather loudly, causing my family to stick their heads in to see what I was shouting at!

The book does come with an advisory, there are described scenes of physical abuse. Some readers may find that this may trigger. It made for emotional reading. The book also warns of M/M scenes and there are also M/F/M and M/M/F. I loved the scenes between all three.

Flint's illness and recovery and Mollie's...getting out, yeah, her getting out ( my sister called it this, getting out) These are handled well and sensitively. Well written emotions.

I have just one niggle. I would like to have heard from Lysander, and indeed Flint, how they came to decide to share Mollie. Their thought processes to get to that point. One minute they are at loggerheads, and the next...well...you can imagine!

As I said, I will certainly look to read more by this author.

4.5 stars.

Sometimes I want to read a nice little romance and sometimes I want something that has a bit more oomph to it. Something with heat, secrets and twisting plots. Something with a lovely English countryside is a definitely plus. Talking Trouble definitely had the oomph I was looking for.

Mollie, Lysander, Flint. I initially felt they were a unlikely trio. Mollie just seemed too sweet for these bad boys. Lysander I did not like from the beginning. My first impression of him was cocky a**hat. Flint was easier to like although his secret unfolded during the story versus it being revealed further into the story. I couldn’t even begin to grasp what he was going through. Ms. Elsborg did a wonderful job of presenting his story. I could feel his pain, angry, his fear. Mollie’s first secret was easy to grasp as well but at times I just didn’t get why she was so secretive of it. When Lysander’s finally came out, AHA! that’s why he was such a jerk.

There’s a nice build up to the story. Everything is revealed in layers instead of a overloading dump. Mollie, Lysander and Flint all have wounded hearts and secrets they are trying to keep but in the end, they all come out and it just makes you like them more. As for the sex, bow-chica-wow-wow! I do like my ménages hot not to mention a little guy on guy (On guy as well)action. Mm hmm. I get why Mollie watches male porn. There’s not too many secondary characters to keep track of. The good ones are funny and lovable and offer some laugh out loud moments. The one on the other end of the spectrum, very easy to dislike and all I wanted to see is them getting their just rewards. The end of the story did seem just a bit rushed but overall I really enjoyed this book.

This is my second book by Barbara Elsborg and between the characters and the plots, I find I really enjoy her works. She write M/M romance very well and manages to throw great menages that are smoking hot. I highly recommend Talking Trouble.

I truly enjoyed this story. It had good intrigue, mystery and the romance love story was amazing!

I think the character whom I truly loved with Flint. He showed an amazing character even behind his Hollywood persona.

Mollie and Lysander were amazing characters too. But the relationship that developed between Mollie and Flint was one of pure love - one that only would have developed with exactly the circumstances that they met, where they were in their life and who they wanted to become.

Lysander's character, for me, took a bit of warming up. He seemed almost too grouchy. But, once you learn him beyond his outward exterior, he grew on me. He was amazingly patient and loving towards both Mollie and Flint.

This book had some very hot scenes and the romance between the three was outstanding.

I loved this story and would definitely read more from Elsbord.

I’m not even sure where to begin with this review. There are so many details and layers to this story that make it difficult to explain. Lysander lives near a lake/pond and rents rooms to people he finds interesting. He is an artist and paints portraits of his renters, along with using them for sex and then dumping them.
Mollie needs a place to stay after a traumatic event and Lysander really wants her. In exchange for renting her a room, he asks to paint her and she agrees. While running around the lake, she meets a hooded man and finds him mysterious and intriguing.

Flint suffered a stroke and can’t speak or understand others. He is recuperating in a house on the other side of the lake. He’s an actor and needs to regain his speech abilities….soon. Flint and Lysander have a past – Mollie has feelings for both. Can she be the glue to fix their friendship?

So many layers and so many stories all circle around to one point. Lysander and Flint were involved until something tore them apart. I found the first third of the story very slow moving and boring, but it did pick up after that and became a lot more interesting. Lysander was difficult to like, but Flint was adorable! I couldn’t help but feel sorry for him and all he went through. I also liked Mollie and felt she pushed her hurt aside to help others instead of dealing with her own pain.

I love where the author took these three. It is a ménage story, but not in the sex only way. The depth of feelings these three had for each other went beyond the hot sex that they had. (and boy, was it HOT!). It made up for the slow beginning and helped make the story worth finishing.

What to say about a book that had so much heavy but had so much love and humor as well.
It was freaking awesome!
They all had there own struggles Lysander I think had the more demons that showed on the outside. He was very brisk and matter of fact. You could hear his pain whenever he talked if that makes sense to anyone. Even before I knew why he was the way he was I knew it was something big.
Flint I mean wow just wow can I can't imagine what he was feeling I mean to not know or understand anyone and be trapped in your own thoughts and mind. That would be a form of hell in my book.
I have to say him thinking the people in the house was Ham and Beat cracked me up to no end!
Ahh and Mollie that poor thing sure has a way of finding the bad. I am so glad she found some good. And she was so humorous to she really had a way of breaking the ice with everyone I just <3 her so much.
What a great book and HOT too don't forget the HOT factor very steamy.
A must read if you like Three instead of Two ;)

I've never read a story line like this before and I absolutely fell in love with the characters. All three had such pain in their lives, all stemming from different things and they overcame them with love. Also, John-Paul was hilarious. Now, there are a few things I had a problem with and this is where the story felt incomplete to me and why I didn't rate it 5 stars. I wish I knew what happened with Lewin, a closure of sorts...did he get help? arrested? fired? a dose of his own medicine? I mean, it was such a big plot of in the story and after his threats and persistence there was absolutely nothing else after the premiere. Also, a little more epilogue would have been fantastic, not to mention the BIGGEST thing I wanted to know about ---- Lysander's paintings of Mollie!! No reveal or details or ANYTHING. That was the biggest disappointment of all
