Things are really heating up on the decks of The Howling Whore. Nineteen-year-old Will Sharpe has finally had a taste of Jon Dark and longs for more, and it seems that Jon is ready to take their intimacy to the next level. Meanwhile, Arrow and Bull have also had a taste of Will, and been left with a craving of their own. But while Will's sexual fantasies might be fulfilled, he is about to discover a betrayal that could end his relationship with Jon before it has even properly begun. Will it be up to Captain Storm to reunite the two men? Might Will get the threesome he is really after?

This book contains hot and steamy gay erotic encounters, ménage (m/m/m and m/m/m/m). It features some romantic elements.

I JUST DON’T FIND JON & WILL COMPATIBLE. AT ALL.

My ratings are always subjective, based on how much I personally enjoyed a book. This is still a decent read and very well-written for an erotica, I just wasn't a fan of the weirdly sprung threesome, but that's just me because for some reason Jon unsettles me. I mean, I don't dislike him (trying not to, at least?), but he raises my hackles because of his dodgy behaviour. Normally, I'd love the twink of the story by default, and in this story, that's definitely him, more than Will, at least. Plus Will's attraction to Jon feels off, like a touch toxic but at this point maybe I'm biased because, ironically, of all the big and burly ergo supposedly scary men on board The Howling Whore, Jon's beguiling innocence strikes me as the most dangerous of all. The smutty parts were still great, but maybe because I don't feel attached nor invested in Jon as a character, and am fully invested in Will being the bottom and not topping anyone (and want to see more action between him and the Captain first and foremost), the erotica didn't hit me as hard in this instalment.
