About the author

Lia Hale

1 book2 followers
Lia Hale spent more than twenty years inside toxic relationship patterns before finally understanding how trauma bonds, manipulation, and self-doubt can slowly reshape a person's sense of reality.

Her books are inspired by lived experience and focus on the emotional reality behind narcissistic abuse, unhealthy relationships, and the difficult process of finding your way back to yourself.

Rather than offering perfect answers, she writes about the questions many people carry for years without knowing how to ask.

She is the author of the Trauma Recovery Series, beginning with You see it. You still stay.

"If it feels off, it is."

I expected a book about narcissistic abuse. What I found was a book about losing yourself without realizing it.

Several chapters felt deeply familiar and stayed with me long after I finished reading.

Honest, compassionate, and surprisingly insightful.

One of the most relatable books I’ve read on trauma bonds and unhealthy relationship patterns.

If something feels off, it is.

This book doesn't focus on labels or theory. It focuses on what it actually feels like to slowly lose trust in yourself inside a toxic relationship.

Honest, personal, and deeply relatable.

I had heard a lot about this book and had been looking for it for some time. When I finally found it on Amazon, I started with the free sample but ended up buying the Kindle version because I wanted to keep reading.

There is a lot of information out there about abuse, narcissists, trauma bonds, and toxic relationships. What makes this book different is that it focuses on what it actually feels like to be inside those relationships.

Even with all the information available today, when you’re living through it, it’s often hard to understand what’s happening to you. This book captures that experience in a way I haven’t seen before. The author puts words to feelings and situations that are incredibly difficult to explain.

For me, this was exactly what I had been looking for. It made me feel understood, and more importantly, it helped me understand myself.

Oh my God, the same thing happened to me and now I understand it.
Finally, someone explained in simple words what is happening inside.
