This has a promising premise. A woman seeks sanctuary and healing on an island to avoid trauma and ends up in a forced proximity situation with three total cinnamon roll heroes. Sign me up for this ride!
Unfortunately, it left me disappointed and confused.
In what time period is this book supposed to take place? The world building is scattered and inconsistent. Her parents died in a car crash, but she takes a carriage to start her journey. At various parts of the book she’s wearing dresses, hinting things would be easier if she had packed pants, but is also wearing a chemise and a shawl and then later regular underwear. They’re heating water for baths and reading by lamplight, but the boat has a diesel engine. That’s without getting into the magic that exists which no one has any interest in.
The timeline feels rushed and the heroine’s healing journey feels unrealistic. All of the characters are pretty shallow and we don’t know them beyond the cardboard cutouts we’re told about rather than shown.
The sex scenes aren’t particularly sexy. They do a good job of acting as a vehicle to show progression in their relationship and how these men are different at their cores than the man who assaulted her. However, they also spend a lot of time acting like the cervix is an erogenous zone, which it absolutely isn’t.
This book is a quick read and may provide low-stakes and cozy summer vibes, but it also may leave you so disappointed that you’re actually irritated.

Quick read, not a lot of depth, and quick healing from past trauma. The different take on heats and ruts is interesting

i'm not gonna sit here and pretend this is an amazing work of literature. It's not. It is an easy read though. Would I recommend it? no. But you know what I knew all of this coming into it so I cant be too disappointed.

This was really sweet; I loved the whole situation. All of them are out of the blue; even if they have some reservations or don't want to be together, they make the best of the situation, get to know each other, slowly build trust, and let themselves open up.

Love the different personalities of the boys and how they are gentle and sweet with her, except on the first day, when they are shocked by meeting her.
It was a really cute and easy lecture, and I really enjoyed it.

I picked up this book because this cover was very enticing - and I'm so so glad that I did. This was a real treasure of a read. It was cozy, but also very sensual. It was a pretty quick read but I was really drawn into the world of this deserted little island where this foursome was building bonds and enjoying each other. I found it quite an emotional story as well, which is what made it all the more memorable.

This packed a punch and it's going on my favorite books list.

I agree with other reviews. This book was very simple not much depth. Both in the plot and in the romance. Wished we had more time developing the relationships between all the characters. It was definitely a cozy romance but maybe too cozy for me. Overall, it was just okay.

Cute book! Just enough character development and world building to make it a short, sweet, and satisfying story with high heat.

Fluffy and spicy!!

I was drawn in by the cover and I stayed for the characters! For reading this on a whim I was very pleasantly surprised with how good this was! I found myself invested in the characters. I especially liked Ryker and his calm collected leadership. I sure hope this becomes a series!! I’ll be back.
