YESSS I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS SERIES. KEEP IT COMING. It really makes me so sad that all the books aren’t out yet because this would be such a good series to binge. Another book is coming out in October though so I cannot complain much!

This was super fun and action packed. The first book had trials, a slow burn romance, and a lot of twists. This book offers a quest, more lovable characters (+ wolves) and a second chance romance. I did not think it could get better BUT IT DID!!! And I am obsessed with these new additions to the group. Fen has my whole heart.

This has basically everything I love about romantasy. I am so so so so so so so (did I say so already??) obsessed. Perfection. I could read a million of these books.

Okay so apparently I just don't have the ability to NOT love an Aria Ashbrook book?? Channel your inner Benny and GRAB YOU POPCORN IMMEDIATELY. This is an epic quest romantasy with bonded direwolves, a possessive (jealous!) MMC, sibling bonds, and THE funniest found family and banter I've read. I giggled and was simultaneously emotionally damaged.

Rose remains one of my favourite FMCs of all time and this book only cemented that. She is so headstrong and intelligent, and not oblivious! I loved how she never took anything at face value, questioned everything and worked through problems rationally. She's also realistically portrayed in how she heals and recover from the events occurring in Book 1. She is willing to do ANYTHING to save her sister and protect her family. Her selflessness is heart-wrenching.

The writing was so detailed and palpable that I was able to envision the world, the beasts, the movements in the fight (as if I was watching a Netflix film) - seriously, this book needs a screen adaptation.

Romance
The push and pull between Rose and Kyor was a pleasured to read. There was emotional damage, there was realistically portrayed relationships where they communicated.

"You're a fighter, Rose. A survivor."

The Found Family
THE FOUND FAMILY was one of the best parts of the book. Benny and Ruben are both so funny! I loved every single side character — and the diverse cast made the book so well rounded. I was never bored. Every character had depth and was multifaceted. You understand what it means to survive in a world like this, through every single one of them, not just Rose.

The Epic Quest
The stakes got SO much higher in this one. What started as a more contained story has become a full epic quest, with so many beasts along the way. The

The Banter
The side characters are funnier than they have any right to be given the circumstances, and the banter between Rose and Kyor was so fun and entertaining. The love triangle drama was also SO entertaining to read.
"'Careful, Thorn. You might end up looking like you still feel something for me.'"

Audiobook

Anthony Palmini and Amanda Leigh Cobb delivered the duet narration audiobook beautifully! They did different accents, and voices for each character (honestly, this was a film in my MIND). Immersively reading this is a MUST. It is a 5 star audiobook, so please experiencing this one in audio.

Recommendation:
If you loved Web of Vows and Vengeance you already know — but for anyone new, this is for fans of Fourth Wing and The Death Made Prince.

I have been obsessed with this series. I’m so happy it will be completed this year. THIS is everything that I love about Romantasy. The first book gave us trials, and the second gave us a quest. I LOVE these characters so much. There are so many Romantasy tropes in here, but it works. I have been let down by book twos in series this year, but this one hit.

3.5⭐️ I kept waiting for this book to hit its stride…and unfortunately, it waited until the last chapter to do it. 😅

The entire book felt like one long side quest. I spent hundreds of pages waiting for Rose to finally find help with her magic, and just when I thought, “Okay, NOW we’re getting somewhere!”…the book ended. Talk about making me work for a payoff. Also, can fantasy authors please find plot besides running through the woods and climbing mountains while trying not to die? I swear every other book lately is just people sprinting through forests, dodging death, stopping to camp, then doing it all over again.

And Kay…girl. 🙄 For someone who has had absolutely nothing, she sure became stuck up in a hurry. Every time she showed up, I was hoping she’d surprise me and become likable. She never accepted the assignment.

Now, it wasn’t all bad! The dire wolves absolutely stole the show for me. Give me more giant, loyal murder puppies any day of the week. And, of course, the love triangle between Kyor, Rose, and Ruben kept things entertaining. Nothing spices up a fantasy book quite like two men fighting over the same woman. I was fully invested every time those three shared a scene.

The ending finally gave me the excitement I’d been waiting for all book, but it came way too late. There are some interesting ideas here, and I’ll probably pick up the next book because apparently I enjoy torturing myself with cliffhangers. 😂 I’m just hoping the sequel skips the 300-page cardio workout and gets to the good stuff a little faster.

Finally a second book in the series that didn’t let me down! This series continues to keep its readers entertained and hook from the start. I love how fast moving the book is. It has everything I am looking for in a Romantasy. This series has all the magic I am looking for as well as the ability to make me laugh. I cackled every single time Kyor was called “dog boy” 😂

The found family in this book is just my favorite. Throughout the book I was so invested in the characters and worried I would lose one! This book also has some second chance romance in it with so much tension. 🔥

I listened to the audiobook of this and I absolutely love duet narration with Anthony Palmini and Amanda Leigh Cobb. Listening to the audiobook definitely allowed me to laugh at the jokes more and be immersed in the story.

5/5 my God they did it again! We pick up right where we left off, with Rose having won her blessing from Etta and has everything she every wanted, right?....right? RIGHT? Wrong. With Kyor on her Sh*t list and her sister not talking to her because of her own marital drama, Rose is utterly alone, in a giant empty house, after almost getting herself killed in the Retterling to get her sister and her out of the slums and restore honor to her family name. Rose also has a new secret to uncover, and a new kind of magic, one with deadly consequences. Secrets are revealed and Rose learns of a devastating family secret, one that will change her life forever. Desperate for answers and a solution to her current situation, Rose heads to meet with those who she believes can help her sort through this mess. The only issue is that getting there, may just be one of the deadliest trips she could make. But if anyone can make it, it's the chosen one and her crew of loveable hooligans.

During this trip we get to know some of our minor characters from book one, as well as Ruben, Rose's Friends with Benefits, from the Veil of Web and Ruin. We also meet back up with Benny and of course, Kyor's along for the trip because, of course who wouldn't want your ex along for the fun. I think some of my favorite parts was the banter between Ruben and Benny (I need more!) as well as giggling at all the times Ruben offers "warm hugs" to everyone. I am always down for a fun friend adventure and Vows of Blood and Deception gives you just that. An excellent book two that doesn't have any bit of book two slump and is all fast paced adventure, emotional toil, and of course, a cliff hanger ending. Because, I mean of course Aria Ashbrook would be leaving us wanting book three immediately.

Tropes include:
Second change romance
found family (again)
broken/rebuilding trust
touch her and die (for real)
secrets and destiny
banter like whoa

Thank you so much to Aria Ashbrook for providing me with this ARC/ALC in exchange for my honest thoughts.

Set directly after the end of the first book, this sequel follows Rose as she continues her journey to master her magic and oh, does it deliver!

Kyor remains my undisputed book boyfriend number one. And yes, he is still complicated. Groomed and abused by a tyrannical father and burdened with secrets he cannot share, to me he is one of the strongest parts of the story. Rose also shows noticeable growth, acknowledging her own selfishness while keeping secrets of her own, yet remaining fiercely protective of her friends and family.

The supporting cast shines as well. Fen, the sarcastic direwolf, instantly became a favourite, and I was delighted to finally get more page time with Elska. As for Kay and Jonas… let’s just say I’ll politely move on. Instead, give me more Ruben, Benny, and Caz…I absolutely love that trio.

This second book is at least on par with the first. I even did my first immersive read, and I was completely blown away. Anthony Palmini can do no wrong in my eyes, and Amanda Leigh Cobb was the perfect partner for this duet narration. Their performances brought the characters and emotions vividly to life.

And then there is that ending. Not as devastating as book one, but a relapse nonetheless. Still recovering from Cliffhanger’s disease!

Amanda Leigh Cobb & Anthony Palmini delivered a spectacular performance once again!! They truly bring Rose and Kyor to life, and I couldn’t imagine anyone else voicing these characters. Amanda is the perfect Rose, a strong bad ass who is still stubborn and carrying so much. Anthony brings us the best jealous, smooth and broody dark prince we all love. They truly knocked it out of the park. 10/10!

✨Story Review✨
If you all remember the ending of book 1 like I do (the betrayal I literally GASPED about), I had to know what happened next IMMEDIATELY. Thankfully, Vows of Blood and Deception jumps right in where we left off! Rose tries to find her new “normal” while unraveling secrets left and right about her family.

Without giving too much away: Rose embarks on a journey with her friends, and Kyor tries to help and regain her trust along the way. They encounter various surprises that will have you binging through to find out what happens next! And the ending? Boy, are you all in for a real ride! 😏

Rose and Kyor’s chemistry is HOT! 🔥 The push and pull between them is addicting, and Kyor is so swoonworthy 😍 We even get to see his jealous side really kick in! 🤭

The pacing of the story fluctuated at times, and there were A LOT of revelations that sometimes felt like we were losing the balance a bit. However, it was still enjoyable overall.

I cannot wait for the next book in this series! Literally counting down the days 🧎‍♀️

This series is becoming one of my all time favorites! The first book was incredible and the second may be even better. It’s a fast paced story with just the right amount of tension and yearning.

Rose has won the goddesses blessing but nothing is turning out as she planned. She sets out on a dangerous quest to get answers about the strange magic that is coursing through her and she can’t control.

In this book we get more backstory and see more of what’s happening across the kingdom. I love watching Rose fight her love and attraction to Kyor and having the humor of Benny and Ruben made the story so fun.

This is a true found family situation so if that’s something you love in your books read this! Things with Rose’s sister may not be as she had expected but she has surrounded herself with people who understand her and what she’s been through and care for her.

Again, the audio of this was incredible! Duet narration at its best.

For anyone looking to start romantasy I feel like this is the ideal series to jump in with!

Thank you Aria Ashbrook for my ARC.

Overall, this is a fun time. Definitely has core romantasy vibes and reminds me a lot of Fourth Wing especially toward the end. The pacing never slows down and there is action after action scene that kept my interest. The found family is good, the romance is there enough, the world is expanding, and I enjoyed reading this! We even get to see more dire wolf interaction. Is it the most unique storyline ever? No, but a cutesy vibes read for sure.

There are some things that knock it down from being a four star good time for me. Sometimes the language is formal and then it switches to really informal in the next sentence and it would make sense if it was someone not royal talking to royalty but it’s not, it’s random. For example, a sentence would say “They do not follow” instead of “they aren’t following us” (these are not direct quotes, just examples of types of phrasing) and then the next time that same character switches to the more informal-feeling phrasing. I wish it just kept the informal phrasing the whole way through. I didn’t love that arguments/feelings get brushed past without a conversation to work through it through the whole book. Our main characters talk about how they are adults, so they should be able to have adult conversations. Our main mission this book sets out to achieve has no progress. We’re on a journey to get somewhere the whole time. Some of the character interaction did feel sort of cheesy as well.

For the vibes, this was a great entry level romantasy that is easy to understand and keeps things moving. If you’re looking for a unique plot, this wasn’t really it. Howeverrr, I did enjoy this a lot and it flew by. I will be reading the next book, the ending was getting to the good part so I’m very hopeful!!!

A lot of yearning and a lot of filler. They spent the entire book traveling. Most of the time it was Kyot and Rose talking about trust and lying to each other. Then it was them walking away from each other. I swear Rose has every freaking type of magic there is. And the ending… it wasn’t even a plot twist. On the frozen lake when her ice power awoken, he called her daughter. So you had to assume that she was someone important. The only shocking part was Fen. That was the best part and I love their back and forth banter. Will I read the next book? Yes, because I want to see how this series ends.

I was lucky enough to receive a review copy of this from the author. Book one is one of my favorite books I have read this year. This book starts off right where book one ended at the end of the ball. The audiobook dual POV is fantastic. How could it not be with Anthony Palmini? This wasn’t quite as good as book 1 so I will say 4.75 stars and round up to 5. I give it that rating not because it’s a literary masterpiece, but because I enjoyed it enough to put off sleep to read and I would reread this book and series. The found family from book one gets extended. The humor scattered is such a breath of fresh air from my recent reads. The authors have managed to put all of my favorite tropes in this series and make them their own. Oh- and dire wolves! Fen is so much fun to read. “This is highly inefficient, he mutters. Wolves are not meant to be burdened with … squirming.”

While the ending wasn’t shocking to me, there were still some pleasant surprises from time to time. I’m so glad the next book has a release date for later this year. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Tropes-
-One horse
-One bed
-Touch her and die
-Let go on an adventure (trials were last book, so new trope. I’m not sure what the trope name actually is, but seems appropriate for a fantasy genre)
-Love triangle (not who you would think based on book 1, and it’s actually entertaining) I will forever picture the hand gesture!

Thank you for the early read! It made for an enjoyable weekend!

this picked up right where book 1 left off and damn did it take me on a journey—literally!

we’re back with rose kultavaris after the events of the rettleheld, and you’re thinking, okay… everything’s fine now, right? …yeah, absolutely not 😅.

this book expanded the world and magic system x10, and i will say it started a little slower for me, but i could feel the tension and intensity building with every chapter. watching rose and kyor’s relationship continue to develop had me kicking my feet, and the found family somehow became even more lovable than they already were.

the new characters and plot twists just kept making this world feel bigger and every time i thought i knew where the story was headed, aria ashbrook said “actually… no.” 😂

also, can we PLEASE talk about kyor and ruben’s enemies-to-lovers coded bromance?? because i did not know i needed those two bickering their way into friendship until it was happening, and i loved every second of it. i just need them to hug all the time please and thanks!

and benny… OMG. benny absolutely stole the show for me. this man had me cackling with all of his of commentary. he was literally all of us readers just standing there watching the sexual tension radiating off rose and kyor like, “are you two serious right now?!” LOL.

i also loved how many new types of magic and characters were introduced (don’t worry, no spoilers 👀). i’m already obsessed with one of them and so excited to see where all of these new storylines go.

and that last 20%… EXCUSE ME?! 🤯. i genuinely don’t know how i’m supposed to wait for book 3 after that ending. i have questions i need answered!

keep them coming, aria ashbrook. i’m invested.

This book just solidified this series as one of my top romantasy reads of the year... and honestly, one of my favorites of all time. ✨

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I LOVE a good quest. There is absolutely no middle book syndrome here. Zero filler. It's action on action without ever feeling exhausting, which is so impressive. I had no idea where the story would go after the trials ended, but somehow I ended up loving this one even more.

The folklore and magical creatures were so creative. I especially loved the strong Nordic influences throughout the story. One of my favorite things was how much the authors explored the dire wolves in this installment. I loved that they felt like a meaningful part of the world rather than just a cool fantasy element.

Beyond the world-building, one of the things that has stuck with me most is the tension between Rose and her love interest as they work to rebuild trust. The romance felt incredibly believable. Instead of relying on the intensity of the trials, we get to watch their relationship grow through hardship. Some of my favorite moments were the emotionally intimate scenes where they're forced to have the hard conversations. I ate those up.

Rose's unwavering dedication to her family continues to be one of my favorite things about her character.

And that ending... I was simultaneously choking and LOLing. I am SO excited for book 3. I'm genuinely not sure how I'm going to survive until October!

This series feels fresh while still delivering everything I love about romantasy. I am so glad these authors continue to take risks because it all feels incredibly well executed without losing any of the hallmarks I love about the genre.

If you're debating whether to start this series, just do it. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Thank you so much to Aria Ashbrook and their team for providing me with an ARC & ALC in exchange for my honest review!

Rose is such a badass. I loved every minute of it all!!! I was giggling like a little girl the entire time. Even wanted to cry at some point and found myself cheering her on with every beat of perseverance she showed. The magic and the world building is so good. So so good. I can’t wait for October to come around because this is for sure the kind of series that’ll keep me on a chock hold.

I have been anticipating returning to this series since finishing book one, and what an adventure this story was. Book two focuses on Rose’s adjustment to life after returning home after the Retterheld, and all the challenges that come with this. Rose journeys to Issen with her band of friends to gain more knowledge that only one location can offer, but this journey was more than any of them bargained for.

We know Rose and Kyor left book one on…complicated?…terms, so I was holding my breath to see how these two balanced out the dynamics of loss, pain, love, magic, and power again, but with brand new elements at play. However, these two remained in a space that bordered on immature throughout the book. No matter how much progress they would make, they would slip back into habits of miscommunication and jealousy that felt childish.

The tension and adventure of the journey this story centers around kept me hooked, but the first half of the book took some time to ramp up to this point. The side characters really offered breaks in the tension, layering in humor and care in the best form of found family. I absolutely loved Benny during book two, even more than I already loved him in book one, and the way he was around Reuben was adorable!

I continue to find this series packs in so many “classic” romantasy tropes that it can be a fun and easy read, but also feels a bit repetitive to other books in the genre just with slight twists.

If you are going to read this series, I cannot recommend doing an immersive read more. Narrators Amanda Leigh Cobb and Anthony Palmini are two of my favorites, no matter what they are narrating, but they are absolutely the perfect fit for these characters. They take this story to the next level!

Thank you to Aria Ashbrook for the physical copy of this book and audiobook. All opinions are my own.

Excuse me whilst I pick my jaw up off the floor.

WHERE do I even begin?? The banter, the friendships, the lies, the drama, the action. This book kept me on the edge of my seat so much I almost fell off it!

Again, I loved the banter in this book, it was well paced and not overdone. Despite some tension and lies being uncovered, the connection and relationships between the characters was written so well and they really did all come through for eachother in the end.

The interactions between Kyor and Ruben are hilarious, you can feel the tension and awkwardness between them. It was so nice to see Benny and Caz join Rose on the journey, both offering support and Benny bringing some humour with him 🫶🏼. I can’t forget seeing the relationship between Rose and Kyor very slowly starting to mend itself. I can’t get enough of them. And the Direwolves? They really made it for me, I loved that we got to see more of them too and with their humour shining through 🐺

The words simply do not exist to describe my excitement and how I feel after reading this book. With the twists and revelations and the fighting, this book was addicting and I hated every moment that I had to put it down 😂

The writing is fantastic as always and the narrators did another brilliant job with portraying the characters

I really enjoyed getting to know the characters even more and can’t wait to see more of them on the next book!

Everything a second book should be!

This was such a good book! The first one was really good, but this one was even better! I cannot overstate how much I love this FMC! She is competent, intelligent, self aware, humble, willing and open/trying to grow, accountable to herself and others, encouraging, uplifting, honest, reliable, compassionate, empathetic, a good friend, a good partner, and so so much more! If only all our FMC’s could be more like her! There were parts of this book where I bit my nails. Parts where I laughed. Parts where I cried. Parts where I gasped and sat on the edge of my seat; and parts where I felt my heart swell with joy and happiness. It was such an enjoyable and well done story!

The banter was bantering! The sarcasm was on point! The humor was perfectly written! The plots were twisting and turning. Everyone was constantly growing. The overall character development for every single person in this story was absolutely top notch, especially when it came to the FMC and MMC! THE DIRE WOLVES! I am obsessed with them!!! I will def be re-reading this one before the third comes out, just because I want to experience this story again! Loved everything about this one, and I’m beyond ready for the third book to come out asap! I just don’t want to leave this world!

I’m. Eating. This. Series. UP.

As usual, I worried this would fall into that second book black hole that exists within the romantasy space, but I needn’t have worried because this was just as fantastic!

This immediately picks up right at the ball where WoVaV left us, which I appreciated.

**There is kind of a love triangle, but not really so don’t fret your pretty head about it - it’s more so just one part that’s reminiscent of the tent scene in Twilight (IYKYK).

And yes, prepare yourself for another cliffhanger cause that ending was ABRUPT!

•major FW vibes
•animal bonds
•monsters/creatures
•one horse, but with a direwolf
•spectacular found family
•quest style journey
•lots of action
•delicious spice

This story picks up right at the end of book one. It’s full of familiar faces along with some new ones. I loved the adventure. I loved the banter. I love the found family. I shed some tears. Some gasps were gusped.

This was absolutely fucking brilliant.

Rose wants help with her Issen powers she discovered during the Retterheld, and so embarks on a journey with her closest friends. Only for Kyor to join them too.

The journey is full of near death, battles, finding new friends and old, and discovering what Rose can do. Oh, and let’s not forget the romance, and not just between Rose and Kyor…

The ending has me begging for book 3 already!

This is such an incredible fantasy series; it quite literally ticks every box you could want in this genre.

Well Aria Ashbrook you have gone and done it again!!
I can't not love these characters or this series.. from start to finish there is just always something happening or something else to uncover.

Rose is just the perfect main character she's clever and witty you just can't not like her! I was so glad to see more of some of the characters we met in book 1. The banter was spot on.

And what was that ending... now I need to wait forever for the next part.

Must read romantasy series of 2026!!

Vos of Blood and Deception by @AriaAshbrook was even better than book 1!
And book 1 was 5 stars so that's saying sonething! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The dire wolves, Rose's magic, the complicated relationship between Rose and Kyor, and all the amazing side characters! Such great storytelling! I really enjoyed seeing how Rose's story unfolds after the trials in book 1.

My fav part? The warm hugs 🫶🏼🥹

4.5 Stars 🌟 🤩

Omg i loved this!!! What a way to start a book!! Blew my mind 🤯 - definitely did not see that coming - especially in a sequel!
Even though I am not a huge fan of the "quest" trope.. i thoroughly enjoyed this! There is so much going on that you cant help but binge it! I wouldve loved a little more Ragey Rose 🫣😅
The audio is exceptional! And when the line "hello little raven" dropped... so did I!!
Cannot wait for book 3!! Need. It. Now! Please and thank you!

3.5 ⭐️
Lots of fun in this. Absolutely love the side characters (love triangle 😆) and direwolves and banter. The world expanded which was fun but the writing was very distracting for me in this one. It was very repetitive where a character would say something and then the internal monologue would immediately restate it and add a few rhetorical questions (a personal pet peeve). It made it less fun for me overall

This has truly been such a fun ride. Can't wait for book 3 to come out!

I loved all the twists and turns it took, jealous Kyor? Love.

Rose is a really likeable FMC, the new additions to the group only make me like her more.

It's definitely a slump busting series, if you enjoy the usual romantasy tropes this is for you. If you are a vibes reader or just starting with romantasy this is for you.

These cliff hangers are going to be the death of me. The gasp I gusped at the end of Vows of Blood & Deception was so loud, I immediately sat up. I’m pretty good at being able to somewhat have an idea of how a book is going to go but THIS ONE PLAYED ME and I’m not even mad about it. I had the best time dealing with the FMC’s heartbreak, going through the struggles with her indecision, all the way to being so freaking happy for her. I am itching for book 3 and cannot wait to dive back into this world
