What a quick, fun listen!! I received this as an ALC copy for the author, whom I follow on TikTok & have purchased one other book of hers; but alll opinions are my own!
Upon starting the audio, I was a bit thrown off bc the narrator has a strong British accent & I thought I would have a difficult time understanding him, but oh man was I wrong! He makes the story SO worth listening to bc his accent emphasizes some moments & I couldn’t help LMFAO!! I literally screamed while driving to work! A few scenes were SUPER gruesome & the visual in my head had me gagging & cringing at the same time, bc GAGAGAGAG!!!!! The twist at the end was WILD!!!! I would not have seen that coming! Had to slap my steering wheel a few times bc O-M-G !!!!!!! Would definitely recommend this as a starter read for anyone curious about Splatterpunk.
