For Melvin Eubanks, a devoted father and husband, life seemed to flow smoothly until a series of events turned everything on its head. After twelve years of a blissful marriage and raising a nine-year-old daughter, his life appeared idyllic—until tragedy struck, claiming his family in a devastating car crash. Years later, fate dealt him another cruel blow when Melvin experienced a minor seizure, leading to the shocking revelation of a brain tumor in his frontal lobe. Despite being informed that his time was limited, he soon realized that the tumor bestowed upon him an extraordinary ability: the power to penetrate the minds of comatose patients and guide them back to consciousness. Yet, this was merely the beginning, as he uncovered a dark secret hidden within some of those comatose minds, a reality Melvin had never imagined could exist.
I am not okay. This book will have you crying both sad and happy tears, its suspenseful, tearjerking, and heartwarming all in one. I recommend reading a soulless death because it has a connection to it. This book is by far his best work yet. I absolutely love it.
