There was a lot of good. The story was fast paced with a lot of danger and intrigue. The characters were solid. However, that end. It was rushed. The hints for rushing were there, especially when I saw I was at 85% and still no resolution. However, ten percent of neat red bow finish was a real bummer. I loved this series up to the end, so for it to end that way seemed too easy. More hints and end drama would have been nice. Still until the last 10%, great story. Needed a fourth book.
Incredibly disappointing and anticlimactic. There were moments the story could have been interesting but those moments were negated by the passive actions that followed each event. The end was so ridiculously simple and unrealistic! Everything tied up with a pretty red ribbon and very little effort to create the conclusion. The oversimplification had me thinking of children's movies- all happy endings and fairytale weddings with no real complexity, growth or development.
This was a really good series. It wascinteresting and unique. This last book finished open ends and yet felt like it could keep going. I wanted more, however, it could end and the series finish. I loved the ending of the book and I was happy they finished with that particular scene. Good and clean for tweens and young adults.
