Adolf Hitler Director of the Nazi’s Book Review 11-16-13 This is a book about Adolf Hitler. Adolf Hitler was the Chancellor of Germany, a politician and the leader of the Nazi party. He caused the Holocaust and most parts of WWII. The book tells about Hitler’s life. It was in chronological order starting when he was a baby until he died. He grew up in Braunau, Australia. When Hitler was 18, he attempted to be an artist, but was criticized and couldn’t get into painting school, which made him very angry. When Hitler was a soldier in WWI, the German people were not happy with their government and Hitler saw this an opportunity to start spreading his message. In 1920, he left the army to form the Nazi party. Hitler was named Chancellor of Germany and took advantage of his power. Hitler demanded an invasion on Poland, France and Great Britain, and he also declared occupation on Denmark, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway and France. In addition, Hitler declared war on Japan and the United States during WWII. Hitler wanted to exterminate the Jewish population in Europe and the United States, so in 1942 he started making concentration camps. The camps killed millions of people. Germany was losing the war in 1945 and Hitler feared he would be captured. He decided he would rather die than get taken alive. He committed suicide by taking a poison pill and having someone shoot him. That ended the war and Hitler’s life. I would recommend this book to people 12 and up who like non-fiction and history. People who are curious about WWII and the Holocaust would also find interest in this book. I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT TIME READING!
I chose this book because in the past i thoroughly enjoyed studying about Adolf Hitler and his life, the stuff that he did to work his way up to be head of the Nazi community. I think reading this book was not a waste of time even though i particularly liked reading this book. Even though people hated his life and i did as well he was a very interesting man to read about, all his achievements he made to work his way up and all of the plans he must of made to be like he was. This book was very interesting because he was a very great speech maker and was very fluent in persuading people to follow along with him and do what he really wants them to do. Hitler wasn't the main person in this programme to kill all the Jews even though he did not like the race he didn't really intend on killing them and making them suffer in the concentration camps. An interesting character in this book was Henrik Himmler who set up all of the concentration camps and started the 'HOLOCAUST.' All up i did enjoy reading this book because this has made me relise how terrible it must have been to be a Jewish person. A famous qoute from the book by Hitler was "Dont let what other people think stop you from doing the things you love".
In April 20, 1889 Adolf Hitler has joined the German world. Adolf Hitler grew up with anger as a baby. Adolf's parents didn't care about him and so Hitler started doing things without their help. His mother was pregnant with Adolf when she wasn't married but five years later she married someone named George Hiedler. "Five years later, Maria married a man named Georg Hiedler" (Haugen 17). In conclusion, Hitler's childhood wasn't easy at the time.
Adolf's mother died in 1949. After his mothers death, Hitler went to live with Hurdlers brother called Nepomuk. It was a difficult time for Hitler. In age 19, he was still called Alois but later changed his name into Alois Hitler then later on he changed it to Adolf Hitler. "Alois Hitler, a common alternate spelling of Hiedler. At the times, it was also spelled Hittler or Huttler" (Haugen 17). In conclusion, Hitler had some rough times after his mothers death.
After Marias death (his mother), Hitler began working as a shoemaker to make some money. Hitler had three wives at age 47. The past two marragies failed and now married a woman named Klara Polzl. All together, Hitler had 3 children and after he marries Klara, he will have his 4th one on the way. "By the time he was 47, his first two wives had died, and he married his third wife, Klara Polzl, who was 20 years younger" (Haugen 18). In conclusion, Hitler was on his way to marry his fourth wife.
At 6, Hitler was a very smart student in his school. Hitler loved to read when he was young. Hitler mostly liked to read about Cowboys and Indians. Hitler was a straight A student but had bad influenced friends that tought him about stuff he shouldn't know for his age. "At age of 6, Adolf started school and proved to be a bright student" (Haugen 19). In conclusion, Hitler was a A student when he was young.

Hitler was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1939. This might come as a shock to the world because Hitler is known for violence. Hitler was known for violence because of invading Europe and killing Jewish people. Adolf was nominated by Brandt one of the members of the Swedish parliament. "Hitler was nominated for the NPP in 1939. Hitler was nominated by Brandt, one of the Swedish Parliament" (Brenda). In conclusion, in 1939, Hitler was nominated for the NPP prize.
Why does Hitler kill Jewish people? In the WW1, Germany lost and convinced everyone that it was their fault. The Germans agreed with Hitler and began imprisoning Jewish people. Hitlers first love was a Jew considering he was only 16. Adolf wrote love poems to her and was very happy with her until they split apart. "Hitlers first love was a Jewish girl. Hitler kept sending love notes to her but never spoke of her" (Brenda). In conclusion, Hitler didn't like the Jewish people so much.
(If you are reading this please read this with maturity I am writing this for my education). Hitler only had one testicle. Hitler was injured in battle. The results were he lost a testicle. Adolf never admitted it but his doctor said it in public. "Hitler was injured in battle and as a result he lost one of his testicles" (Brenda). In conclusion, Hitler was badly hurt in a war and suffered groin damage.
Hitler was the cause of WW2. Hitler kept invading Europe countries like it's a piece of cake. Poland, France, Germany etc. all these countries he invaded. He killed too many Jewish people and tried to invade Russia but failed. "Hitler attempted to invade Russia in World War 2 but failed and that mistake led Germany to loose the war" (Brenda). In conclusion, Hitler caused ww2.

"When Germany surrendered on November 11, 1918, Hitler was in a hospital near Berlin recovering from temporary blindness caused by a mustard gas attack" (Haugen 39). Hitler wanted to blame someone on the deaths of many soldiers and what caused Germany to surrender but didn't know who to blame it on. Most people hate loosing so they find excuses to blame it on something else. Hitler finally found someone to blame and the blame went on the Jews because Hitler hated them. "Hitler blamed Jews, renewing his old prejudices against them from Vienna" (Haugen 40). In conclusion, Hitler hated the surrender of Germany so he blamed it on Jewish people.
Hitler was once a spy for the German army. Hitler wanted Germany to live in peace. Hitler turned out to be the one of the most evilest person on earth so clearly something has changed. Hitler tried to find groups so he can join to be one of the soldiers for peace and eventually found German Workers' Party (GWP). "Hitler also served as a spy for the army" (Haugen 42). In conclusion, Hitler was once a spy.
Hitler for dictator of Germany. Hitler was announced chancellor and quickly made changes to the German country that would help him become the leader of Germany. Many people greed for power. Hitler started operating within the German law then convinced Hindenburg to increase Hitlers control over the political meetings. In conclusion, Hitler wanted to be the dictator of Germany.
In 1939, the world started thinking that Hitler wanted only to reclaim what was for Germany for ex territory, land etc. When Hitler took over Poland in September 1939, people started changing their minds. Hitler took over Poland very easily. Hitler was trying to make a new empire for himself. "However, when Germany invaded Poland on September 1,1939, that illusion was shattered" (Haugen 75). In conclusion, Hitler wanted to take over Europe.
There were many reasons that Hitler lost wwII. One of them were that Hitler's soldier were to never retreat. This caused the soldiers to be exhausted and in need for water which led to many defeats. Hitler liked his soldiers to work all the time with no breaks. "One of Hitlers golden rules were to never retreat and keep fighting" (Haugen 79). In conclusion, Hitler didn't like to rest his soldiers.
Another reason Hitler lost was because Hitler never used technology. Hitler didn't like to use jets or bombs to win battles. Many defeats were caused by lack of technology but still some victories. It could have helped against Russia but Hitler chose not to use it. "Hitler wasn't a man for technology and this issue cost many great battles" (Haugen 80). In conclusion, Hitler didn't like to use technology.
When USA joined the war, Germany was in a critical position. When Japan attacked U.S in 1941, U.S decided to join in on the war being against Germany. Germany were in danger of loosing the war which they did. Hitler didn't know what to do. "Hitler and his army were in danger after the attack in the U.S.A" (Haugen 81). In conclusion, U.S joined the wwII against Germany.
Finally the big reason why Germany lost is because they were fighting on both west side and east side. On the West, they were fighting Britain. One of their rivals. Also, on the east, Germany targeted Russia and they were they're bigger rivals. "They were fighting the war on 2 sides. Britain and Russia" (Haugen 81). In conclusion, Germany lost the wwII is because they had rivals coming from two sides.
After WW2, Hitler was in trouble. England and Russia were invading Germany from both the west and the east. Hitler was hoping for a miracle to happen but he knew he had lost the war. Russia reached Hitlers hideout while Hitler and his girlfriend hid underground. "Russia and England had the war all to themselves. Hitler knew he had lost" (Haugen 85). In conclusion, Russia is looking to kill Hitler after they invaded Germany.
When Russia was going into Hitlers hideout, Hitler and his girlfriend hid underground. When the bodies were found, it had seemed that Hitlers girlfriend had took poison and killed herself while Hitler did the same but only difference was there was a bullet in Hitlers head. People still don't know if Hitler killed himself or someone murdered him. Hitler did this because he knew he lost WW2 and he knew Russia and England were coming to kill him. "When the bodies were found, a letter was found next to them saying; If our bodies are found, we order you to cover them with ashes and burn them" (Haugen 86). In conclusion, Hitler and his girlfriend killed their selves.
After the death of Hitler, all the Jews that survived death camp were free. About 4000 Jews survived death camp and 3000 hiding. Hitler nearly made his objective of killing all Jewsih people in Europe. Killing 2/3 Jews in Europe was a tragedy also, Hitler made the Jews wear a star badge to show that they are Jews. "Hitler killed 2/3 Jews in Europe. Frighteningly close to the objective" (Haugen 87). In conclusion, Hitler nearly killed all Jews in Europe.
How could Germany prevent this from happening in the future? German leaders shouldn't go out and pick a random general who hates Jews to be their leader. The Germans gave Hitler too much power. Hitler tried to convince every German in town that it was the Jews fault but it wasn't. "Hitler convinced millions of people in Germany" (Haugen 87). In conclusion, Germans shouldn't let a guy from the street who already went to prison lead the Germans.
I learned from this book about Adolf Hitler and how he was mean. It was amazing because you can learn that you should not be mean like that. I learned that Adolf Hitler started World War II. During the story, you'll find out that Hitler went into hiding, then three days later, he was found and arrested and kept in jail for nine months. The best part was when Adolf Hitler was killed, because Hitler was mean.
This is infortmative and if you are a huge history fan like I am it will be good with the pictures of battle plans movements and other things of importance to WW2 plus it gives some insight to how the war started ended and some poisons that the main generals used to evade capture with death. Not the best historical information and not the worse its one of the books that just adds to the Views Of Hitler in WW2
What an informative look into the life of the man who provoked World War II and conquered most of Europe before his regime was defeated in 1945. Unfortunately, before he could be stopped, he destroyed millions of lives and left Germany divided. The book has many photos of Hitler and of the people he affected.
With this book being a biography, it is filled with interesting facts about Adolf Hitler and him growing up to be the Dictator and Chancellor of Germany from 1934 to 1945 and all the interesting little in between facts about his art career and everything. I wouldn't recommend this book just because it is filled with facts, because someone can get tired of the book very quickly.
Well i don't entirely agree with it. Truth is, it oversimplifies Hitler's figure, and gives him too much credit. In the end, it sticks to the traditional "big men" view of history.
Chronological read about Adolf Hitler's life. Interesting how he came about and how he succeeded in 'taking over the world'. Nice quick and easy read. Loved it. And it interested me a lot.
