The final installment of the series brings us complete closure! After the ending of book two I really needed this book to deliver with a stellar epi.
So we’ve been tossed around a bit by the back and forth of these two... James fighting his feelings, Audrey trying to be selfless and finally we see a united front being formed. But it isn’t just her profession they have to face. James’ mother is proving to be far more dangerous and crazy than anyone ever imagined. With everything at risk, she doesn’t seem to be willing to back down to allow her son to get the girl of his dreams, but that’s okay because James has a plan.
I was a little bit shocked by the turn of events in the final installment of this one. A bit of it felt a tad bit too much, but it still allowed me to enjoy the story and honestly, his mother having a complete about-face would have been out of place. I think what I loved most about the final installment was the epilogue. I think with given how short these serials can be, often times the epi is overlooked and for a romance reader, I think this is one of our most favorite parts of a story. It’s our closure – our time to celebrate all the angst, drama and stress of the initial chase/catch scenario of a story to just have a few unguarded swoontastic moments with the characters that put us through hell.
This was my first set of books by this author and I can honestly say that I am very interested in picking up her other titles. This was a quick, fun read that kept my attention and actually left me needing to finish all three parts in one sitting.
