Trapped With The Squad Boss : A forced Proximity Firefighter Romance

Rate this book
Ella
I know better than to trust a charming man. The last one left me humiliated and heartbroken. Cole Bennett lands in my ER with a blown knee and a sexy grin that I hate noticing. That reminds me exactly why men like him are dangerous. He flirts. I shut him down. I think that’s the end of it. Until he shows up at my door two weeks later during a wildfire evacuation.

Cole
Fighting wildfires is a harsh job, but I love every second of it. They are unpredictable and can take lives. I learned it the hard way. During a fire evacuation, the fire shift and cuts off the road. Now I am trapped in her cabin with no power, no way out, and the woman I've been thinking about for two weeks. Ella Parker. I already got her under my skin. But she's guarded, unreachable. Is she gonna keep fighting the fire between us, or just allow it to burn?

If you love these tropes : protective alpha heroes/ guarded heroines/ forced proximity/ wildfire danger/ small-town heat/ a firefighter who falls first and falls hard/ then this steamy Granite Canyon Hotshots with a HEA romance is for you.

⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was such a sweet, feel good small town romance that was incredibly easy to get lost in!
From the moment Ella and Cole met, I was invested. Their chemistry was undeniable and I loved the playful banter between them. Cole was charming, patient and had me smiling more than once, while Ella's guarded heart made her character growth feel genuine and rewarding.
I'm always a fan of forced proximity and this book delivered exactly what I was hoping for. The romance developed at a nice pace, blending emotional moments with plenty of tension and just the right amount of steam. The added touch of suspense kept the story moving without taking away from the romance.
The small town setting was warm and inviting and the supporting characters added to the cozy atmosphere. While the overall plot was fairly predictable, it was the kind of comfort read that leaves you with a smile.
Overall, this was a heartwarming, romantic read with lovable characters, great chemistry and all the cozy small town vibes. If you enjoy firefighter romances, forced proximity and watching two people slowly break down each other's walls, this is definitely worth picking up.

I voluntarily reviewed " TRAPPED WITH THE SQUAD BOSS" was given freely for my honest opinion an emotional heartwarming journey with danger, intrigue, steam, keeping you reading til finished.
Cole Bennett is a Squad Boss Firefighter who gets hurt on the job ending in the ER where he meets & flirts with Ella Parker on duty HR Nurse trying to avoid flirting with him he's trouble she doesn't need.
Cole shows up at Ella's door a couple weeks later for a wildfire evacuation she didnt expect to see him again but he couldn't get her off his mind both have some baggage their dealing with, he's suppose to be working not mooning over the ER Nurse who tended to him in ER.
Will Cole be able to get Ella to let her walls down long enough to let him in their chemistry is definitely 🔥 ♨️ it's a must read to see if things cool down between these two a very enjoyable read.

When Cole meets Ella he turns on all the charm but gets shot down. Weeks later while doing evacuations she answers the last door he knocks on. Now with fire closing off the road he takes advantage of being trapped together to charm her a little more and get to know each other.
The tension of the fire moving in, forced proximity with a stranger and chemistry between these two kept you drawn into the story.
Loved Cole and his easy going personality but when things get tough he's all business and is a person you can depend to take care of you.
Ella had been hurt before and was slow to let Cole in but realizes he's different from the men she's use to being around.
A wonderful read and can't wait to read the next one.

This was a really enjoyable, quick read! It's a shorter story, so you don't get a deep dive into the characters or their backgrounds, but I didn't mind that as much as I thought I would.

The storyline kept me interested from the start, and the forced proximity between the main characters made for some fun and entertaining moments. Even with the shorter length, the romance developed well enough to keep me invested.

If you're looking for a fast, light firefighter romance with a solid plot and good chemistry, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try. I only wish it had been a little longer so we could have gotten to know the characters better, which is why it's a 4-star read for me.

We first meet Cole when he gets hurt and has to go the emergency room and that’s wheeze he meets Ella and starts flirting with her and trying to get her to go out with him which she turns him down. He finally gets to go back to work and a fire breaks out and he’s the one that is going around not the cabins and evacuating everyone. They get trapped in her cabin after the fire jumps the road. They realize that they like each other and decide to give it a go and they start dating and get their happily ever after. I highly recommend this book and give it 5 stars ⭐️

I really enjoyed this story. He falls first (and hard) is a favorite trope of mine. And who doesn't like a firefighter? It was a fast read with good character development and likable MCs that had me rooting for their HEA. The suspenseful plot pulled me in and kept me engaged until I finished it in one sitting. I recommend this book and look forward to reading the rest of the series.

I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.

They meet, he flirts, she shoots him down. Two weeks later, he is the fireman doing evacuations for homes in the wildfire path. He shows up to her door. The fire shifts and blocks road egress. Now they are stuck together, and more sparks are flying between them than the fire burning outside!

A fast, steamy firefighter romance with great chemistry, forced proximity, and the perfect touch of suspense. Cole is completely swoon-worthy, and watching Ella slowly let down her walls made this a fun, satisfying read.

This was a fun, easy read with just the right amount of tension. Harrt did a great job developing characters, a close proximity scenario, and having me rooting for Cole… and all in 100 pages. I look forward to reading the rest of the Granite Canyon Hotshots books!

Great read!

Cole and Ella are so real I love it! I was invested from the beginning and couldn't put it down for even a moment! I was so sad when the words "the end" appeared! I just wish it was a longer with more of their story. Over all it was such a great book!!

Just ok

This was a sweet little novella but character development was a bit quick. Seems a bit rushed for sex but I guess when you know...

What a cute romance that will grab your heart.  Overflowing with troupes like small town romance and forced proximity.  It won't take you long to get wrapped in Ella and Cole's romance. A broken heart protected by solid walls.  A fire erupts and reality sets in.  Forced proximity, feelings exposed and more.  a heartwarming romance that you will enjoy.  Wonderful characters and a story line you'll like.  I read a free book via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review.
