WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF THE ONE MAN YOU EVER LOVED HAPPENED TO BE YOUR BEST FRIEND’S HUSBAND?

Have you ever had a friend that was so promiscuous that no other female trusted her around their man, but you did because you always seen the good in her and never thought she would cross you? Aaliyah had always secretly wanted Jalissa’s life. It started from the clothes that she wore, to the guys that she dated. Aaliyah and Jalissa have been best friends since high school, and they have always told each other everything. Now that they were in college, will the same rules apply?
Julian Jordan was the definition of a chick magnet. It was hard for the women on campus to not want to have a one night stand with him. Jalissa bumped into Julian one day on campus, and since then he decided he had to have her, but after assuming she has a man, he lets it go. Side tracked one day by her best friend Aaliyah, who invited Julian over for a sexy night of fun, he was then introduced to a sex game out of this world. The following morning, he woke up and was caught off guard about how the two women knew one another. After finding out that Jalissa was single, he continued his pursuit in sweeping her off her feet until she finally gave in. Aaliyah was pissed off and confused at the relationship that Julian and Jalissa were developing, so she decided to seduce Julian. The only problem was that getting pregnant wasn’t part of the plan. Come join this ride of sex, lies, and betrayal. Will this little secret ever come out, and if so, will there still be any friendships left in the end?

That was a lot of drama!

It took a few chapters for me to get into it at first. The ending wasn't what I expected and I'm pleasantly surprised. I thought some things would work themselves out but I guess some of these novels have us feeling that these things should work out when in real life people do move on.

I don't feel sympathy for Jalissa.

****spoilers****

I get that her BF and her boyfriend betrayed her but she turned around and did the exact same thing to her husband...stepped out and got pregnant. She wasn't a victim. She was lying and sneaking around on her husband before she even suspected anything. She's just as guilty as he was yet had the nerve to act otherwise. She even said that she did nothing wrong, was a good wife and Julian ruined it all on his own. Even if Jay wasn't his or J & A never hooked up again, Jalissa would still be pregnant by another man by her own actions. At least Clarence waited til his marriage was over to start something new. Also, how was she able to keep him from picking up his son without a court order? Then she moves her son in with this man? Just cuz he sucks you the way yo like doesn't mean you should have your child move in with him. She really should have gone to a hotel.

Aaliyah was a dirty friend. I overlooked her transgression from before J &J were a couple (though she should have told her they hooked up), but what they did years later was inexcusable. Poor Clarence! Always falling for the girl who was in love with someone else. Ashley was an idiot. If that woman is your competition you don't rat her husband out, you rat her out to the husband so that he has the upper hand. She'll stay at home more cuz she'll feel guilty or she may stop seeing the other guy all together. She kinda sucks at this master planning thing, lol. Elijah should have been kicking Jalissa to the curb for all of those times she tried to play him in college. If not for that, she started cheating and nothing was wrong in her marriage, at least nothing she knew at the time. That should give him pause. She was happy with her life, or so she said, and still cheated on her husband.

I kinda wanna read more about Aaliyah and Nick. Does she finally love herself? Is she a better friend, not necessarily to Jalissa (since that friendship is probably over) but in general. Does she stop using her body to get stuff and screw up her life. How did celibacy work out for them?
