Written with a Cursor is a kind of a book which is rare. The 10 Short stories of this book don't fall into the same genre. I have read books which either follow a pattern but this one was exciting.
I especially loved Sujatha's "Ganesh and Vasanth" style short stories. A duo investigators who try to decipher the strange cases.
Altogether this book was one exciting ride for me. I enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed the Author's wit here and there. Please do read it and I highly recommend this book.

This is a nice collection of short stories in different genres - It has something for every one.

It starts of with the funny but introspective "My conversation with Mike Cursor" - an interesting look into the author and his authoring process.

"The bestseller" is an fascinating science-fiction tale with a powerful human element.

"The Sanguine terminal" introduces you to Detective Mike Cursor, who explores a murder mystery with surprising revelations.

"An evening on Nehru street" will make you feel like you are watching an Indian movie with down-to-earth, boy-next-door characters.

"Merry go round" is a crisp tale with a well-deserved ending.

"Dhanwapur connection" focuses on the human element again with characters that come alive.

"Cry of a dying soul" is one of my favorites. It is beautifully written, it will touch your heart and bring tears to your eyes.

Return to follow Mike Cursor's adventures in "The anonymous confession".

"The whistling wind" will keep you at the edge of your seat with its suspense.

The collection finishes up nicely with my favorite "The closed closet" - it is funny, mysterious and a little scary all at the same time.

I loved this first-time effort by Karthik Pasupathy and am looking forward to his future work!

Short stories are super nice to read. Be it emotional drama or a comical skit, if its shorter we are more enthusiastic to read it. However, short stories are difficult to write. The author needs to pen all his thoughts, tie all the loose ends, and still maintain the word count. It needs a special talent. Not every novelist can be a good short story writer. Karthik seems to have mastered the art of short story telling. Each of the 10 short stories in this book is a gem. The most interesting part of the stories are that they are not connected: neither in genre nor in characters. You feel like reading a series of stories that are way different from each other.
