Daphne Cole and her incredible, smart sheepdog, Mooney owns Novel Grounds which is a combination a bookshop & café. Daphne's friend, Joanie found the dead body of her boss, Gerald Briggs and is now suspect number one according to Sheriff Mac. But, Daphne and her friends, Tina, Ellie, Katie and of course her clue finding dog, Mooney know Joanie didn't do it and so decided they have to help their friend Joanie and uncover the real murderer. With so many potential suspects they had their hands full. But Daphne is also getting herself closer to danger as she gets warnings. Can they save their friend? This is a really good page turning book that takes you on a real roller coaster ride. Once you think you figured it out, think again! I highly recommend this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Even though they all know she didn’t do it, Joanie is the main suspect in her boss’s murder. Now it’s up to her Daphne, Mooney and their friends to figure out who the murderer was and why so they can clear Joanie. This story is not only a great murder mystery, but also a beautiful story of friendship and loyalty and community. I really love the way Daphne and her friends work together to solve the mystery, well, especially Daphne, and how she always gets into trouble with the sheriff. That’s my favorite part of the Daphne Cole Cozy Mystery Series—the friendship. I really cannot recommend these stories highly enough.

I loved Daphne's dedication to helping those she loves. Being the owner of Novel Grounds: a bookshop & cafe, she hears all the town gossip. Her dog Mooney, a large shaggy English Sheepdog, listens and watches all discussions with interest. He is handy at helping solve mysteries.
The town of Taney Ridge is a small hometown that drew me in right away. The characters are like old friends as you read the story. It kept me guessing until almost the end.
I received a complimentary ARC from the author; a positive review is not required. All opinions are my own.
Novel Grounds is the coffee shop owned by Daphne Cole and is where everyone shows up to know the latest gossip. it is also where cases are solved by a group of dedicated women. When one if them has a problem all jump in to help, even if this time it is a possible murder. Joanie is the accountant at a company that has been not giving the clients the returns that they thought they should get and then the manager is murdered. Several people lost enough to be suspects but with the help of Mooney the bad guy is found just in time. I received an arc and this is my review.
Too many suspects! Where do we go from here? When the group—Daphne, Mooney, Tina, Ellie, Kate—gathers, there should be one more. Where is Joanie? Joanie might be in trouble; she does not want help from her friends. Novel Grounds seems to be the place to solve problems together—coffee and books. Sheriff Mac wants Daphne and her friends to stay out of the investigation, but will they? Read A Killer Audit to discover the answer to this question and the question of who is the killer. I read an ARC of A Killer Audit.
Daphne Cole and her incredible, smart sheepdog, Mooney owns Novel Grounds which is a combination a bookshop & café. Daphne's friend, Joanie found the dead body of her boss, Gerald Briggs and is now suspect number one according to Sheriff Mac. If only it were that easy. Great character and plot development. Enough twists to keep it interesting and keep you awake to find out what happens.
